I really do love the concept of Kite's character; Kaiba's utterly dedicated to dueling for the sake of defeating Yugi which he never did, while Kite's the total inverse of that trope. Not just because of the fact Yuma never beat Kite, but because of the fact Kite doesn't/didn't care about dueling. While both Kaiba and Kite dueled to save their brother's, Kite is the one that dueled ONLY for the sake of his brother. Other than that, Kite just doesn't care about winning or losing duels.
Basically the opossite of kaiba

there's a few things i don't like about kite though. for one he never lost to yuma. at least once yuma should've beaten him. also aside from his motivation he's kinda....bland. we don't have a lot for him. unlike shark.
@@thanoseid2883 that's what makes him so good for me. He's meant to be like that. There's also one other thing that I personally adore. He's ready to give it up for everything. Heck, look at S3. HE LITERALLY (and I hope you and everyone reading has already watched S3) DIES JUST TO HELP THEM. Heck, he's probably the smartest of Yuma's friend group. And he has absolutely great monsters like all of his xyz's. And he's skilled.
Now, it's definitely fair to think that. I'm not saying you're wrong. But that blandness really helps in my opinion. He's not extravagant or ridiculous.

Agree with you. I mean granted this is the only duelist Yuma hadn't beaten as of yet so it makes somewhat sense (pretty sure he never does beat kite) but they are honestly the biggest let down of the show. No female dueling lead, a pathetic best friend... 😭

Yuma’s friends ain’t shit
The dub tends to poke fun at Yuma's mediocrity a lot more than the original Japanese. In the sub, they have more faith in him although Flip and Class Rep still take light jabs at Yuma's dueling skills.
Well to be fair Kite does actually have a good strategy when it comes to his dueling. Plus Vetrix did play dirty.

The cards to be printed are: Double Bind (spell), Flash Effect (spell), Battle Gravity (spell), Galaxy Burst (spell), Battle Simulation (trap) and Photon World (spell field)
I would have to say that out of all the duels between Kite and Yuma this is by far the best one that they’ve had because in this duel Kite learned a few important life lessons from both Yuma and Astral.

You know I would have loved to see the look on Kite’s face when he finds out that Yuma defeated Astral in a duel I bet even Nash and the rest of the former Barian Emperors would also be in shock when they found out that Yuma defeated Astral in a duel.
Watching kite and yuma duel makes me question where the desire and drive to do things and to overcome obstacles comes from. It makes me wonder if I'll be able to overcome the obstacles that soon awaits me

So how did that spell neutralize Galaxy Eye’s protection from battle simulation?
Double Bind (the final spell that Yuma played) negates effects that prevent destruction by battle
Galaxy eyes doesn’t destroy a card it battles with its effect. It banishes then returns both itself and the other monster
That's an optional effect
And thats why Kite is the man

It isn't a tribute summon. Galaxy-Eyes was special summoned. Kite special summoned it because he sacrificed 2 monsters with 2000 or more ATK.
