one of the things i like the most about your chanel is how you focus more on creating a vibe/look rather than the makeup products themselves. i’m always inspired to have fun with makeup! 💗 and it’s very refreshing in a world of endless consumption
So far, I've watched this one and the Oneiric one & I think they both really suit you! This is a classy date or party look and the other gives it a bit of that haunted look, like you're going to a hozier concert.
I think Bond girls give off romantic and dramatic essence 🤩 Bond girl makeup would also be an amazing video! Very excited for this Kitchener series 😍😍😍 gorgeous as always ❤️
Yess!! Definitely dramatic too! Beyoncé is a romantic dramatic I believe and she has that intimidating sexy energy! Bond girl makeup is a great idea… even though I’ve never seen a Bond movie 😂
Thanks!! I feel like I’ve gotten that in the past although I don’t exactly fit the physical descriptions so we’ll see how the makeup turns out with that one!
I do feel like you have a romantic essence, this looks gorgeous on you! Also I think your look reminds me a little of chapelle roan with less intense makeup!
@@evangelinemolly ♥ Oh yes... I feel like maybe she has a bit of a more 'natural' and kind of 'softer' look in the start of the Red Wine Supanova mv where she's on the picnic blanket! But yes she's so fun! But also I feel like even if it's not 'you' this look is lovely on you, but also I think similar to chapell you can pull on lots of different fun looks and it works well for you!
Interesting idea, I think I've looked at some form of this styling philosophy before. Very pretty! I think my idea of the Romantic falls more into Eliza Bennet/Wuthering Heights looks, but I get this one, too. You really nailed that heavy lash line/shadow technique.
I'm loving this series! I have no idea of wich essence I have, but I do love the romantic one, just because I love red lips+ winged liner. You rocked this one and the natural essence as well. I curious about the others essences, that system always confuse me, but see it as makeup makes it easier. And now I want to experment with it my self 🤣
Makeup is the easiest way to experiment with style I find! So have fun playing with all the colours and shapes. Hopefully as I go through each essence it will help you get a better understanding 💕
I absolutely love this look on you 🤩💣 I am so happy to see you take on this series!!! I got into essences before I found your channel and forgot all about them. I was so confused to figure mine out, but romantic was def my fav and the one I wanted to be the most. It’s classic beauty. Grateful to go along on this journey with you!
That perfume sounds right up my ally! I've never heard of the Kitchener essences before, so I'm looking forward to exploring them with you like with your color seasons series. After skimming a couple articles, physically I'd say I'm majority ingenue. My casting in plays (when not ensemble) was either an ingenue or a slightly dramatic person. I'm thinking of the time I was cast as a daytime tv Oprah wannabe who constantly asked interviewees if they wanted to cry and a mom who was part of a family always trying to outdo their neighbors in holiday house decorating. But if I were to typecast myself in movies, I'd probably be the best friend or older sibling who's always there for the protagonist; the smart but also naive one who wishes everyone could just get along.
@@evangelinemolly I also wanted to ask you about the ABH Brow powder. I’m a beginner with makeup I’ve been using it for about a year but I’ve never tried a brow powder, could you please give me some tips and suggestions on how to use it??
It’s really all about the tool you use when it comes to a brow powder. I like an angled brush that isn’t too small with a spoolie on the other end. I keep the powder mostly focused in the middle of the brow and feather it with the brush and spoolie. And just remember, practice makes perfect! Trying a new product can be a learning curve at first
@ Thank you so much for your help 🥰 I think I might wait until I earn enough Sephora or Ulta points and then I’ll treat myself to an ABH brow powder and the brush they recommend with it 😊
I am so ready to do this idea with you!! I used to be very insecure about thinking I looked too masculine or androgynous in my facial features and that I looked best playing up those vibes even though I LOVE feminine makeup. Definitely went down the kibbe body type rabbit hole as well in a pretty negative way as well. I’ve really gotten a lot more secure in just doing what I want/like, but I still think it’s fun to play around with these categories and experiment with the different vibes your makeup can give off. (I am also commonly referred to as tall as a girl of 5’6)
It’s so interesting because dramatic essence, which is the most “masculine” in kitchener’s system, became a big part of what’s considered sexy/romantic for women in more recent times. It really goes to show that the way these categories were gendered was very subjective! I find thinking of it very neutrally as just shape, line, and colour helps me make more sense of it
The look turned out beautifully! I believe you have a romantic, natural, and classic essence. Together, these qualities create an ethereal vibe, even if you don't possess the essence. I mention this because I watched your ethereal makeup videos, including the grunge one and Arwen's video. The looks looked dramatic, but I feel they come across as somewhat separate from you. That’s why I think you may not fully embody the ethereal essence, at least not to a large extent. But obvi I'm not an expert so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
I’ve never heard of the Kitchener essences, and now I’m going to go down a rabbit hole lol. I think this look suits you but I’m excited to see the rest of the series ❤ For me personally, my mind wants to see me as an actress in a Fellini film, but in reality I just lounge around in graphic tees and combat boots 😂
Love this Evangeline. What category do you class yourself in? How would I decide what category I fall in? I love this look you have created. Spooky I felt this look reminded me of the beautiful Marilyn and then you said her name. You look stunning. Best wishes Karen 🤎🍁🍂🧡
I think I may fall in ethereal & classic but I’ll have a better idea after each exploration! I put some resources in the description box if you wanna deep dive into the essences. They’re so fun!
Absolutely love the way you do makeup. It’s so classy and approachable and fresh ❤ Do you have a powder highlight recommendation? I don’t like a glittery highlight and have been struggling to find a powder highlight that isn’t sparkles 😅
Thanks so much! Well, my fav highlighter is the rare beauty one but it’s BOLD! One that comes to mind that’s softer and not glittery is the Flower Knows little angel highlighter and the Sigma powder highlighter
Love this look. It’s so striking on you. I can wear a romantic look but with a more intense pink lip since I don’t wear reds. Also you definitely do have a tall energy. I feel short but I’m average height as well. And I always get carded. Maybe it’s being short is affiliated with younger ? Interesting.
Oooh this would be pretty with a pink lip! And yes I feel like shortness definitely plays a role for being perceived as younger which is funny considering adults come in all kinds of heights 😂
I loved this video!! I'm a bit of a newcomer here, but I love your vibe and how you do your makeup. Is it okay if you can cover a soft/pinky essence makeup?
That might fit into the classic essence! I also just did a pinky look a couple videos back inspired by the Maiden archetype if you want to check it out 💕 th-cam.com/video/ZJraKyEHtJw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=o4LBT88R3vGlzF7s

since i came across your channel i keep thinking that you are the love child of lucy dacus and chappell roan lmao don’t know if you’ve heard that before. but what i mean is: gorgeous
Ok I just googled this since I didn’t know what you meant and I’m obsessed. Found a super fun reddit thread. I’m definitely going to include this as a bonus essence to explore!
I love the finish from using a damp sponge, but hated wasting product, so I often apply with a brush and finish with a sponge blot. That works best especially on my nose. I love the romantic essence, especially since my favorite classic Hollywood faces are Elizabeth Taylor and Ava Gardner. It’s definitely why I always define my brows. This series is definitely going to be fun! I can’t wait to explore the essence types with you! I love the classic glam of this romantic look. You’re not bad, you’re just drawn that way.
one of the things i like the most about your chanel is how you focus more on creating a vibe/look rather than the makeup products themselves. i’m always inspired to have fun with makeup! 💗

i agree with this and a good reason i am so drawn to this channel too! just being creative + having chill fun:) and toast
Aw thank you! I’m so glad to hear you like this form of makeup content 🥰💕
toast is a treasure!!
💗💗
Wonderful! I love this idea. You always bring something unique to your videos beyond discussing products and I appreciate that.
Aw thanks so much!!
As a romantic girlie who wishes they were ethereal, this is lovely and speaks to me.
I feel like combining romantic and ethereal looks would be divine 💕✨
So far, I've watched this one and the Oneiric one & I think they both really suit you! This is a classy date or party look and the other gives it a bit of that haunted look, like you're going to a hozier concert.
Hahah definitely see how oneiric is Hozier concert vibes.

I do feel like you have a romantic essence, this looks gorgeous on you! Also I think your look reminds me a little of chapelle roan with less intense makeup!
Thank you!! It would be cool to see Chappell in a look like this actually. I do love her wild makeup looks though!

Yay! That’s definitely one of my goals 🥰💕
this look suits you very well! your voice reminds me a lot of Liv Tyler, and I've always loved her penchant for a red toned lip.
Ooh I’m so flattered! I love her!
I would love to see the actual makeup look of ana de armas in the picture recreated, shes so stunning! 😍
It is gorgeous!

The quintessence of femininity and sensuality in this makeup. I have the velvet ribbon and I love it. Very pretty makeup. Bravo
A red lip is really where it’s at! 🌹
Okayyyyyy this video has THROWN me down a rabbit hole about the essences😂❤ - I love this so much. Can’t wait to see how the other looks come out!
Haha it’s fun isn’t it? I love how it’s about energy too, not just looks
I absolutely love this look on you 🤩💣 I am so happy to see you take on this series!!! I got into essences before I found your channel and forgot all about them. It’s funny how it can be so hard to discover our own essence but sometimes it’s so obvious on other people!
Love this idea can’t wait to see what all you come up with 😀
This look suits you very well! Great idea about the essence series, looking forward to the next one - will it be classic?
I’m not sure the order yet. I might do it based on my mood of the day!

Ooh that’s cool you have experience being cast so that’s telling of your vibe!
Romantic makeup really suits you! Looking forward to the rest of the series. Especially Ethereal
Thank you! 😊 💕
you’ve been my favourite makeup content creator to watch as of late! your energy is so soothing and i love how you explore different styles
That’s so nice to hear 🥹💓
LOVE this concept. Can’t wait for the rest of the series.
The look was beautiful on you as well ❤

This was so beautiful!! I’m glad you did this video! I’m excited to see more in the series ❤😊

Yes, it’s all about just taking what you want and need from the systems! Some people take it like a word of law and that’s just so limiting and boring

I’m so excited for the next videos in this series I keep checking if you’ve posted more

@ LOL i’m actually not sure but if it was i might feel really passionate about this stance!
Hahah or maybe someone else which would be pretty cool! I definitely see what you’re saying though!
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
red lips are glamour, boldness, sexy. Some shades of muted red would be romantic in essence. pinks and mauves are romantic.
Yes loving leaning into muted reds for more of an every day look!
i think you may be leaning towards the lost oneiric essence👀
