Once you establish your LLC you can use payroll services to pay yourself a regular paycheck every two weeks...then bonus yourself out every month or quarter based on revenue...or keep money within your LLC account to reinvest back into your business. Wow, being payed that quickly is an awesome for a business. Even my best customers were taking at least 30 days to pay me. Some were running at 90+ days. Thanks for making it clear that you are a business. Become an limited liability company as soon as possible because if you are a TH-camr and are not running it as a company you are risking a lot.

i nanny and i also pay my taxes quarterly as well also, it was really difficult trying to figure out how much i owed the first time i needed to pay nanny taxes.. i use quickbooks self-employed as well.. i wish i could've known how to calculate them before hand lol
I LOVE your channel. It is so honest and insightful. As someone getting started on youtube I am definitely keeping my job. I would say, so far, the hardest part is writing out scripts for sections of my videos, and most definitely the editing. YEESH at editing.

Having parents that were worked in credit, accounting, finance & the banking industry I feel this is the least talked about area.When most people get into business they only see 2 points: the beginning (getting started) and the end (waiting for that BIG paycheck).What most people forget is what happens in the middle. Nobody ever talks about that. Thank you for bringing this topic out in the open and to the forefront.
Great information! I’m a small channel still under 1k subs, but plan to make this a full business. I appreciate the disclaimer in double speed, but think you only need it once/ video. I agree on the taxes as well. You need to be saving at least 30% to make sure you’re covered!

This definitely inspired me to keep uploading regular content, but also to be wary of the different challenges that will come (although getting views is enough of a challenge itself 😂)
I think people can follow whatever strategy to get subs or views but if they are not consistent and building the habit of uploading regularly, they will eventually fade away. Good luck with your videos 👍

I LOVE your channel. It is so honest and insightful. As someone getting started on youtube I am definitely keeping my job. I would say, so far, the hardest part is writing out scripts for sections of my videos, and most definitely the editing. YEESH at editing.

Former Para, here. Very on-point and necessary video to put out there. Having parents that were worked in credit, accounting, finance & the banking industry I feel this is the least talked about area.When most people get into business they only see 2 points: the beginning (getting started) and the end (waiting for that BIG paycheck).What most people forget is what happens in the middle. Nobody ever talks about that. Thank you for bringing this topic out in the open and to the forefront.

Great information! I’m a small channel still under 1k subs, but plan to make this a full business. I appreciate the disclaimer in double speed, but think you only need it once/ video. I agree on the taxes as well. You need to be saving at least 30% to make sure you’re covered!

I've been able to cover the business side of youtube on my facebook LIVE (i have a large audience there interested in running youtube as a business) but I never got to talk about it on youtube... lol.. glad you brought it up.. My TH-cam is an LLC and also I got a couple of homes under my LLC that I use as a content home for me and other creators... this is really a business for some of us

I think people can follow whatever strategy to get subs or views but if they are not consistent and building the habit of uploading regularly, they will eventually fade away. Good luck with your videos 👍
