The tyres along with the vehicles here are checked 3 times a day. Drivers have to check them at the start and end of their shift. Also each lorry that is in the yard is checked over by the boss or second in command each night. If I've been on a site where they have used recycled rubble or concrete I give the back tyres a quick look between them as it's too easy to pick up a lump of concrete or half a brick. We don't suffer too much as all the tyres are Michelins which have good hard sidewalls. With our job most of what we run on is either mud or smaller stone like inch and a half size stuff so not an issue most of the time, just down to common sense to check when you've been on a rough site.
