  • So we look at the M8 and the MVP side by side and see the difference, what's more you get real advice about the 2 key programmers from a Locksmith who has used both to allow you to select the machine that will work best for your locksmith business - Lets be honest and tell the truth to help fellow locksmiths, and that was the point of this video, Both machines we paid for, and both gave us nothing. Just the truth from a user of both point of view

Check out the M8 battery voltage - all over the place - the 'proper' AD MVP pro rock steady - we have a lot of tools from them and also the MVP pro too, dont know what they are charging for tokens in Aussie ( lived over there many years ago) but over here in the UK they are £15 but the more you buy you can get them down to £7.50 and at the locksmiths conventions over here they give them out for £7.50 - so it sounds like you are paying $60 per token - someone is ripping someone off :D The main difference I can see (never owned the M8 -although know a few that use it) is that the real one is updated all the way - every week/month and they are always adding the new 2017 cars as they come out. The M8 is based on 2011 software and has inherent errors that were copied when they copied the machine. Basically it is a costly error waiting in the wings to catch you out. Not worth using as it could, and does cause serious problems that you are then liable for. The only saving asset is the fact it comes with 750/1000 tokens but is that reason enough to use it knowing that at any moment it wreck someone's expensive car? AD themselves spend a lot of money, time, and effort researching and checking that the tools they make are safe, do the job, and also up to date and reliable. China has just done what it does best, rob the ideas and research from others and profit from that. They are clever, devious and persistent. If you want to do a reliable job, always use the genuine tools made by the original people. I have to admit I have used other Chinese clones before I came o the conclusion, that it is in the end, stupidity. Good video, well made and presented. :D We are based in the UK and are into remapping, auto lock smiths, keycodes, vehicle electronic repairs and programming, auto diagnostics, etc.

Hi, thanks for your comment, I could not agree more, For the tokens it works out to be $36.20 in Pounds. So yep getting ripped off on the tokens, And if you push the wrong button , or pull the MVP out too soon, you may use 2 tokens. I did a Nissan last week, made a mistake cost me 2 tokens, Then a Toyota this week, I had a chip problem and used the MVP 3 times trying to work it out, in the end I made very little because of the 3 tokens used.. I think the China trial and error option is one alot of locksmiths will try, but I agree with you.

That is a good point, I have used it to put key into a car and it took 2 tokens on one and 3 on another and NO keys registered or working, that is the gripe I have with this system for AD, you get screwed for the tokens - they say just ring us or email us and we will credit you, but it happens a fair bit so that needs addressing. To be fair they are helpful and have a good forum on site that a lot locksmiths use to help each other. Work arounds and short cuts etc.

Thats interesting, I will try the email thing and see if I can get a refund on my tokens, I was going to try the month subscription, I thought it would work out cheaper then tokens, especially when it can cost you more then one per car. Im glad to hear that Im not the only one that has used 2 or 3 tokens on one car, Its hard to know everything about every make and model

If you ever need 315mhz mg rover remotes - loads of mgtf's and Rover cars about in Aussie I have 30 of them spare - sell over there for £50+ programming - I can let you have them for £20 each - had 70 of them OE MG Rover 315mhz - cannot use them over here as its 433mhz. Sell the odd one of to to people over there and other places outside of the uK.

Fantastic video. Ok, I know most of us here in the States make fun of Chinese tool's. Let's ask why ! Because if there is one thing I know is tools. I have never seen a quality tool come from China. Period ! I will pay money for quality you are definitely going to get what you pay for when it comes to anything especially tools. Programmer's are not any different they are a tool. Fellow worker's actually poke fun at me because of my high price tool's I purchase, and take very good care of like a baby. OK I may be to picky about taking care of my tool's, but there top quality top dollar, I take care of them. Programmer's again is a tool, buy a top quality tool it will last you take care of it, it will take care of you. Again fantastic video agree 100%

When I had a problem with Nissan , it was because of a bad dongle , all of a sudden the dongle did not work. This video is just an example of the 2 units. They are not the same

Just trying my luck here to see if you are selling your M8 diagnostics. I am happy to purchase it from you if you just have it sitting in the corner collecting dust. I needed it to do the old Holden Astra remote program. I am in Adelaide. Again just trying my luck here😅
