Spiderweb Software games all include something called the "Junk Bag" where you can just right click on your items to send them there, and when you get to the shops, you can click "sell everything in your junk bag". Best of both worlds where you have limited inventory for meaningful items but don't have to go back to town early just to sell your crap.
@@twerktwerk2593 a minimap is not a handholding feature. You're telling me you can't make an accurate mental map of a the place you're in when you're walking around in it?
Not using consumables is soooo true. When playing amneisa for the first time i was told how important oil was. So i never used the lantern. Beat the game with tons left over, just got used to dealing with the darkness and the screen filter when insane
You need to make a video with a list of quality-of-life features that should be in every applicable video game. There are certain features that aren't new and have been in video games for years. Whenever they're missing, I always want to ask the developer why? Haven't you played other video games? Haven't you played your own game?
It’s like EVERY game should have rebind-able keys to whatever the player chooses. It’s fine having a default setup by the developer but there should be other spots for multiple configurations. I love how you can download other peoples setups with the steam deck, sometimes players can come up with better setups then the developers.
I COMPLETELY agree with the inventory thing. When I can, I increase my carry capacity in games. I'll take my challenge somewhere else, thank you. I know some games are designed around it - but me personally, that's just not where I am in my gaming life. Lol
Most of us are hoarders in video games. It's one of the things that free-to-play games with a microtransaction economy count on because they sell storage space in their games.
This seems like a simplified version of Stoneshard with some elements that seem to be way better, especially the gear drops. Funny is if this game gets released and does better than Stoneshard, which has been in development quicksand for years with barely anything to show for it.
This is what I was thinking. It's actually a pretty cool idea for a game. It just needs to have lots of content and things to be fleshed out... Which of course take time. Guess we will see.
I think you might want to use your block when the enemy blocks, since they absorb your attack if you hit them that turn anyway you might as well save yourself some damage from their attack.
I hope there will be 2h weapons as I want my fox to run around like the boars with 2h axe. But for now this game just looks like a weaker copy of Stoneshard. Oh there are on death explode effects? Well a big NO from me then. Removing this from wishlist.
Don't see anything interesting or different or "new" or "particular" about this game, apart probably appealing to a certain demographic of "love playing as a humanoid animal" and that's it.
This game has a strange, washed out, look. Almost looks like you were filming your gameplay with a camera pointing at your screen, instead of directly capturing it.
Sorry but I'm just really tired of what I call Nintendo Graphics. When I get the nostalgia bug I just pop in my copy of Legend of Zelda in my NES and I'm good, the saves even still work. It's '22 can we please get some modern graphics Devs? Looks interesting overall I just can't with the graphics anymore. Maybe they can overcome my feelings on that if they turn this into something truly amazing, I'll keep an eye on it...
Herbarium = A book on plants and herbs. Often containing dried and pressed flowers and plants

"I'd like to be able to carry as much as I want to carry..."
I also would like to be able to save game wherever I want to save... :)
A mini map would also do wonders in Stoneshard.
naw
Yes definitely, as long as it's optional and fits the game's art style
There are maps in Stoneshard. It's just not a handholding game.
@@twerktwerk2593 a minimap is not a handholding feature. You're telling me you can't make an accurate mental map of a the place you're in when you're walking around in it?
@@SilverionX So just make a mental map while you're playing? Why do you need a minimap lol
I feel like the bandit warriors are a missed opportunity. I would call them... Boarbarians :D
Herbarium = Book about herbs. Beastiarium = Book about beasts
Can't get enough of this pixel art style. It's like candy to my eyes 👁️ 👄 👁️
Are you Splatty's cat?
Try to play heroes of might and magic 2 - you will love it
@@danielkowalski7527 Oh that's one great game with great pixel art! (And music too)

The same thing here with Ironman/No save/no pause 3 hour runs. I don't think I can go 15 minutes without someone interrupting me.
it's got that D&D boardgame vibes with the art style
Herbarium is a collection of herbs, usually a book with dry plants inside

this feels and looks like a more cartoony, anthropomorphized stoneshard. looks cool!
2:00 You're truly blessed to not know what a Herbarium is, and let me tell you the thief has every reason to steal it if he/she is in school still.
I remember that one.
Mix of Stoneshard and Inherit the Earth.
Splat's Condensed Review: 30:03 :weiveR desnednoC s'talpS
Looks like Stoneshard, both unfinished and empty. Maybe they'll finish it at 2024.
Lol they wouldn't and they can't. Not with Pootin's shit war
And people say Stoneshard is unfinished and empty.
This is what I was thinking. It's actually a pretty cool idea for a game. It just needs to have lots of content and things to be fleshed out... Which of course take time. Guess we will see.
They'll never finish Stoneshard. That one is going the Star Citizen route.
@@MrSteve0311 Well it doesn't help that most of the developers were both in Unkraine and Russia.
For all 3.5 guys who are interested - this game was created in Godot. That's basically "a more comfortable Unity but without the Store".
Interesting, I didn't knew that engine, thanks!

Believe it or not, in Soviet Russia we we creating our own Herbariums as a school homework (* *;)
This looks really nice!!
"Welcome to the nerd castle" 😆
ThankYouSirSpla77!
Very nice graphic. maybe ill give it a go in final version of the game
I did everything I could my guy is a bowman and a expert at it but overall this game rocks I hope more content comes out too
Is this a stoneshard that doesnt hate you? Looks great, thanks Splat!
Stoneshard really beat me into submission. No matter how good I thought I was I kept getting wrecked.
@@GameTimeWhy Same, which unfortunately led me to stop playing it, sadly. :(
@@Allan003 yeah I'm waiting for full release before playing more.
Reminds me of Stoneshard in ugly.
I like not having a mini-map, it adds a certain air of unknowing
Thanks for showcasing! ^^
All praise the ineffable algorithm!
some one needs to make a mmorpg like this!!!! if i win alot of money i will but some one should
A map is a must need.yeah it looks good tho.
Is the game difficult like that other game Shartstone or whatever it was?
Explodoblossom or smeggplant?
Stondeshard new dlc, nice.
Do the enemies respawn or are they permakilled while you are progressing?
Furry Stoneshard. Gotcha.
The paper doll look sort of reminds me of Dungeons of Chaos.
Oh neat a Stoneshard knockoff! Good, that game needs competition!
Maps are hard to do immersively - but some kind (one you need to put effort into) would be really helpful
ending the game with 999 ether I am saving for "the next boss".
I remember this game covered a while ago.
This looks cool
Looks interesting. I'll have to see how it develops, but with incomplete systems it's hard to judge.
🖤
I have completed evert quest and killed every boss, nice game but very short.
I recommend you wait a year for more content before you buy.
how on Earth one doesn't know what a herbarium is?
Here's a question: why does the fox look like a super-saturated version of the fox from the animated version of Robin Hood?
Uses the same map style as Stoneshard looks like.

Woah that thumbnail is pretty
Mushroom lover dwarf paladin.

Herbarium = Conan the Barbarian's really lame cousin. (aka Hermbarium the Literate)
MMM similar to Stone Shard. But i dont like to be a Fox, sorry
