- The Hacienda Zotoluca is reborn in exaltation, celebrating the life, history and culture of its land, currently it is emerging as an iconic, unique and exclusive place, to offer its visitors an unforgettable experience.
In 2015 the Hacienda was acquired by a company that develops exclusive hotels who have set an ambitious project to rebuild it.
Zotoluca word in Nahuatl, which means place where palms or zotoles abound.
The Hacienda was ordered to be built in the year 1570 by the Viceroy Don Luis de Velazco y Alarcón, to whom it is granted a royal cedula, at his death it is inherited by his son, also Viceroy of New Spain, Don Luis de Velazco y Castilla who due to debts a General, surnamed Aljaréz ends up being La Hacienda Zotoluca to settle these debts.
In 1670 General Aljaréz, owner of the San Antonio Tochac, San Lorenzo and Zotoluca hacienda, died without having heirs.
When reading his testament, they realize that he left all his inheritance to the clergy so the property passes into the hands of the Convent of the Assumption of Apan and it is until the 18th century with the secularization of the convent that they lose property.
The architecture of the main house consists of two stages, the main house has a 17th century Colonial style, and the side and rear part has a neo-Gothic style which was designed by the famous architect Don Antonio Rivas Mercado who a in turn, he remodeled several haciendas in the area such as San Bartolomé del Monte, San Antonio Ometusco, and his masterpiece was the Monument of the Angel of Independence located on Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City.
Not only that, but in turn, the Architect Rivas Mercado pays homage to Pulque de Zotoluca by designing an octagonal tinacal in the Mudejar style, one of a kind.
Currently the remodeling of the 26 luxury rooms, spa, wine bar, bakery, Mexican haute cuisine restaurant, agricultural fields, apiary, farm, fruit and vegetable gardens, among many other amenities that we will have, is being carried out.
The opening of the hotel is planned for winter 2019, so currently you can only use the common areas and its beautiful chapel. A couple of rooms can be fitted out for the comfort of your distinguished guests.
According to the style, needs, tastes and budget, we can assist you with everything you need to complement your event, from the tent to cover the cold, sun or rain, music, entertainment, decoration, flowers and banquets.
Even organizing a callejoneada, pre-event cocktail or a wonderful brunch with Mexican specialties for the day before in the City of Tlaxcala located just 30 minutes away.

Si, es muy bonita esta hacienda. Elegante y moderna a la vez. Si ya la visitaste que genial, espero haya sido buena experiencia, y si no has ido te la recomendamos ampliamente.
Costo aprox. $4,000. por noche por persona o sea si vas en pareja son $8,000. pesos por noche, solo el hospedaje. Y si quieres tomar tu día de Spa son $10,000. pesos más por persona.
