The fact that Moon was so furious about Sun lying to him and still went in the middle of nowhere to find and rescue him shows that no metter how mad he might’ve been he still knew Sun was just trying to help and protect him
I think I see the problem with Sun! His trauma manifests into fear of failure, loss and change. The trauma made it harder for him to accept change, hence why he sees Moon as such. Along with that the similarities between Moon and Past Moon are triggering some of his painful memories and/or feelings which is why he can’t accept the new Moon.
Yeah cause imagine just dealing with that kind of stuff (what the old moon was doing to him) for *6* years! New Moon only knows what has happened in the sixth year when they got separated because that’s when they started the show and he has all the videos downloaded, and only a little of the start from where how they first met honestly acting like he knows all the old moon has done to sun when it’s honestly a lot worse (at least, in my opinion for the last part he said he got rid of his killcode after the separation so that means he was still making him go through pain from before the show)
Agreed. I think that moon doesn't fully understand that, while he isn't the same person as past moon, he still very much looks like it and has a couple of personality traits of the old him. Sun and past moons' relationship is very complicated, with moon lacking self-control and lashing out on Sun. The relationship got better in the end, but then it turned more into moon taking all the hurt to protect Sun and sun feeling useless in not being able to do the same for moon. I believe that's why Sun tries to take some pressure off present moons shoulders but because he knew past moon wouldn't want him to do that (because he was too scared that Sun will hurt himself) he hides it from present moon. Present moon doesn't want sun to hurt himself and sun thinks that moon isn't being fully honest with him and will yet again try to do everything on his own. You can't just discard trauma because the person that gave it to you doesn't exist anymore. Trauma sticks with you forever and not working through it in a healthy way will just hurt you further (that's why I hope sun takes some therapy sessions with earth🥲) Hope this makes sense, it's me psychoanalysing fictional characters at 4 am👍
It’s interesting to see the true origin of where moons frustration is coming from. The new moon has literally watched all of the old moons worst moments, and has promised to be different because he wants to be a different person. Now that he’s seeing sun repeating the same thing that the old moon did, he’s just scared that they’re going to switch roles. He basically just doesn’t want sun to change into the old moon, cause that’s what the old moon despises about himself the most.

I mean... Moon is sort of lying by omission about Earth possibly being a sleeper agent, but that aside... I am just glad Sun is safe, and that they were able to start up this conversation. As painful as it is, since they both make good points about this entire dreadful situation and have unique perspectives on what is going on. Also it is kind if funny that Moon has no problems with dimension hopping but is terrified of driving a car.
OK, this is a start. I'm glad and sad that my theory about New Moon was correct and that Sun isn't seeing him as someone different but still his brother. But it's good that Moon was able to express to Sun why he's upset and how hurt he is. And the fact Moon is still willing to get Sun and bring him back home is proof that he is not going to abandon Sun. Now I'm hoping Sun won't just ignore all of this and continue trying to "handle this" alone.
Ooof this hurt. The boys are finally getting things off their chest. Tensions are high and they definitely need a bit of space. Gah it sucks being a mediator because I see both sides. Neither are right yet neither are wrong, too. I think once they cool off they ought to sit down and discuss things. Because I know this conversation isn’t over. Like Computer said, they both want to protect each other and yet are terrible at communicating that.
Wow... That.. That was a lot. The entire arguement between the two was.. Really bad. All Sun wanted to do is protect his brother, but he was so tired, worried and anxious about everything that he didn't focus on the fact that his brother was basically gone. He took all his energy and used it all to help Moon. Moon, before the restart, had been using all of HIS energy just to help out HIS brother. Sun didn't understand anything. Moon isn't the same, but Sun doesn't seem like he can understand that. But on Sun's side, he had to deal with Eclipse, all of his brothers dying, and everyone thinking he and Moon were maniacs responsible for the maternity chip. Moon had got a fresh start, but Moon is so stressed with remembering and all of Sun's crap, and Moon has no idea what has ever happened besides what has happened in the show. He doesn't know anything about anyone, or anything before the restart. Moon needs therapy, Sun needs therapy, and they both need some time apart. Sun needs rest, Moon needs to think, and they are both going to professional therapy. They need it. (Also this took forever to type lol, likes are appreciated, but also, have a cookie for reading this entire thing! 🍪)

My heart hurt this episode. Both of them are very emotionally hurt: Moon from Sun lying to him and not believing in him, and Sun from his own actions and self-doubt. I do sincerely hope that once they both are calm enough to talk again that they can talk things out properly and repair their bond, cause it definitely is a bit fractured right now. What I’m really worried about tho is the fact that this could get so much worse if/when Sun finds out that Moon is doing the one of the *exact things* he’s pissed at Sun for: lying and keeping secrets. Remember when we found out that Creator is secretly using Earth to upload stuff to their databanks? Computer told Moon that, but lied to Sun and said “there was no outside network”, and Moon got in on keeping that secret from Sun. Sun’s bound to find out at some point. But I wonder if he’ll find out on his own or if Eclipse might reveal it to him to try to drive a wedge between him and Moon, since he seems to be trying it with Foxy and Monty again…

I see why sun gets reminded of the old moon by the way moon is arguing in a serious tone especially when his voice goes deep and someone else theorized how because old moon had hit sun before and sun is a bit cautious of just being touched by moon and i wouldn't be surprised if hes cautious of others too after all trauma can effect how you react to things pretty easily depending on how bad it is

I would've done the same thing as Sun tbh. Rather let yourself go through it and not the person that's already done it. He knows what happened *last time*. I mean, yeah. Poor Moon. But Sun knows. He was there. He can't let it happen again. He lost his 'Brother'. He couldn't do something right. Moon needed to do all of it. It's Sun's turn. He won't just watch it drift away again. Dude Sun is struggling like every previous companion did with the Doctor. Every time a companion is there to see the doctor regenerate its a massive struggle. Because they're still the Doctor BUT different. Granted Moon isn't changing his entire look, but his personality and antics are a far cry from the previous. I'm also glad Moon comunicates with Sun they are taking a break from the other so they can sort their shit out. I just hope they can have someone there to help them too. ANYWAY you guys are amazing and I have massive respect for you guys.
I kin sun alot, but I'm starting to kin this moon too. Not being proud of who you used to be, but your family not giving you the chance to show you've changed... Willing to do anything for your family and terrified of losing them. This show is giving me more therapy then i thought possible
3:44 Moon saying this REALLY pisses me off, i understand Moons pov and emotions but i also understand Suns way more Moon seems to forget that just bc he got reset and has no memory of stuff therefore it must not be important doesn't mean Sun has. Sun is still affected by Moon, he still has trauma and issues, a lot of which Moon HIMSELF has caused, so ofc he's gonna show signs of that. His head still, most likely, is stuck and trapped in past events and memories(ik mine is) so sometimes he may mistake the past for the present and/or be triggered by things (Think about it as a DCA, if a child was being abused or harmed in any way by a parent or other relative, and that relative suddenly forgot everything, you wouldn't expect that child to forgive that person and forget about it all would you? You would most likely expect and understand why the child is still affected even if it happened years ago) Sun doesn't refuse to believe Moon has changed and what not, he KNOWS Moon is different, but that doesn't mean he still isn't affected by stuff surrounding Moon. Moon may not forget things but he still is roughly the same. Because he never died, he just reset. Our devices sometimes gets reset when bad things happen, whether its bc its lagging or glitching ir whatever, that doesn't mean that it died, cause if it did it would have shutdown withe a loading screen saying "shutting down" If Moon did die he would have shut down not reset. So in the end he is still roughly the same If moon really believes that he is not the same AT ALL and that he doesn't have even a little bit of the same experiences, then I'm sorry to say this but what Moon is feeling now is VERY little compared to what Sun has been through and is still going through. Meaning Moon has no right to tell Sun to get over it or even to say things like this when he has NO IDEA on what its like I really want Sun to snap and just bitch slap Moon at this point for dealing with him saying stuff like this. Bc Moon saying shit like this is not okay whether his upset aswell or not, bc i don't think Sun has EVER said anything as bad as what Moon has said to Sun Sun's right Moon is showing sign of his old self, which kinda proves my point that moon is still the same person in some way shape or form ALSO The whole about Moon being upset about Sun not being truthful about things has its reasons too. Which is also where the hallucinations started Creator never cared Kc ran Bm never cared Lunar had his problems, and like Moon, mentioned how ither people had problems themselves and that Sun was acting dramatic and evil Eclipse is a bitch and caused Sun his own problems(one probably being Suns self loathing) So ofc Sun has no idea gow to talk about his own emotions bc hes used to being laughed at or thrown to the side, heck his own hallucinations are trying to convince him to accept some of the actual truths. Which means he's trying to help himself aswell and trying to give himself answers and way to explain his emotions and trauma So yeah he, like Moon, has horrible communication skill, towards himself included So ofc problems like this happen

And it shows in the last lore episodes such as moon trying to hug tun *two* times and sun backs away he's scared of being touched because from an episode I forgot the name moon thought he was eclipse and blamed himself hurting/punching sun sun is *scared* because the old moon never exactly loved sun old moon did hig sun all he did was try to say comforting words but old moon was so aggressive even towards sun so it makes sense for sun to still vividly remember that now sun should have not been running himself down but the thing is he keeps thinking of the old moon ciz the old moon was yk not all that great to sun but that's my lil theory Edit: don't mind my miss spelling yall-
I honestly, I would count the last gaming session more as lore. They barely interacted with the gameplay and mostly talked or threatened in Moon's case.

The fact that I could sense New Moon felt this way long before any of this happened... poor thing is constantly compared to his predecessor and pressured to be like OG Moon by both his brother AND a large number of the fans... even though that's the last thing he wants. Very few of us actually saw and accepted that he's a completely separate individual... because people couldn't accept that OG Moon was gone. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand the grief... I miss the OG Moon as much as anyone! And I know that's most of why Sun is acting this way... grief. That's why I don't blame him. But we all have to recognize that OG Moon is gone. New Moon is a completely different character... similar to the clone situation with Maisie in Jurassic World Dominion. He may look the same and have a similar base code, but he's his own separate person. And honestly, he's a wonderful individual! He deserves a proper chance to be himself, and not be compared to his predecessor. I genuinely feel for both brothers. I hope, after they both cool down, that Moony figures out a way to truly express to Sun that he's completely different... that he's gentle and caring. And I hope Sun is able to recognize that and accept his help. I also just really want to see them hug! 🥺
I heavily agree that people need to accept that OG Moon is gone. I had a hard time accepting it for a while, but I have now. I also agree that Sun is having a hard time accepting this because of grief, but I also believe PTSD plays a part as well. If you think about it, OG Moon was abusive (both physically and emotionally) to Sun and even neglectful at times, even if he didn’t mean to be. As another comment said, even tho New Moon is different from OG Moon, Sun will still be affected by the damage that OG Moon did to him, and New Moon having similarities to OG Moon may be a PTSD trigger for Sun (similar to how Lunar was scared of Sun for a while because Sun himself unknowingly was a trigger for Lunar’s PTSD of Eclipse from when they took over), and to be quite honest, I don’t believe New Moon is recognizing this because he’s too focused on how he feels and what he thinks is happening rather than listening to Sun. I also don’t think New Moon realizes that Sun also has separation anxiety, which is why Sun was looking for him even tho he wanted some space. Yeah Sun shouldn’t have lied to Moon about what he was doing and he is in the wrong for that, and Moon does have the right to be pissed about it, but he doesn’t have the right to put Sun down like this especially when he knows how bad Sun’s mental state is. And you know what else Moon is in the wrong for? Doing the *exact same thing* Sun did: lying and keeping secrets behind his back. Moon knows that Creator is using Earth to upload stuff to the databanks, but he never told Sun; he chose to hide that from him just as Sun chose to hide him gathering star power from Moon. And I guarantee, when Sun finds that out, he’ll be just as pissed as Moon is right now, if not more.
@@gachabox3142 Oh I 100% agree with that! I don't entirely blame New Moon for not recognizing some of Sun's problems though. Sun is good at pretending, and I'm sure he hides a lot of the problems we can see from Moon. Or at least he did until recently. For example, I can see how Moon would miss the separation anxiety, as well as where he wouldn't fully grasp how deep Sun's PTSD goes. Honestly, both brothers need a major lesson in COMMUNICATION! If they'd learn to communicate their emotions properly and calmly, and listened to eachother, they'd be able to actually move forward from all this.

As someone who over works themselves just to help people (i'm a severer case of people pleasing) and watching this episode was rather hard for me because I had someone confront me about how overworked I am and basically doin what sun is doing.
I literally have no words about it... this simply makes me very sorry after the previous fight I think this one has been worse... although that is if they need to isolate themselves a bit, try to think what they will do in the situation, I just hope that everything will be fine again...although it is shown that Moon, despite the fight, did not want something to happen to Sun, although he still resents him
By the way, then if Sun can feel the temperature, maybe Moon can't because he's in a different body. I mean, the original body is that Sunny, i see a drawing where sun is checking the temperature of a bottle with his finger in case it was too hot or too cold,could be something possible, sometimes I like to see what kind of components sun and moon have in themselves
Speaking of which, we have seen the time that the old moon was in very bad condition. I mean, it did not recharge for weeks and it ended up without energy, it is not known if something similar happened to Sunny, I mean, this situation is so tense that it could put him in some trouble. But who knows, it's just speculation
Me: Sighs heavily, facepalms, and shakes head in aggravation, "Of all the times for you two to be jackholes..." This is even worse than bad. Sun's mind is teetering on the brink and I think we're about to cross the point of no return here. Isolating and not talking to him just means the voices are going to go into overdrive to push Sun further, and with what Jig-Sun stirred up, they're gonna have a field day raking Sun over the coals. Sun needs to mourn, and no one seems to get that. No one seems to realize that Sun clings to Old Moon because he hasn't fully accepted that he's gone. And as long as he's not allowed to process this, he can't accept New Moon as his sibling.
This is rough, there's still so much hurt between them and...the infuriating part is that both of them have vaild points and feelings and I'm glad this conversation has been at least started even if it was rocky. But holy hell, it feels like they're not listening to each other because yes you are right, Moon is being misunderstood here and has every right to ticked off but so does Sun. However, them two having space from each other might help if only to settle some of the heightened emotions. Lastly, that despite being so angry, Moon still went to get his brother, like 'the fights on pause until I know you're safe' is a good trope

This episode really, really hurts me. Both are rightfully upset Moon because; No one seems to get that he is a different person than his predecessor, his brother is lying and hurting himself, he was thrown headfirst into a conflict he wasn't around to even see the start of, and I don't doubt he feels extreme identity issues because of his situation Sun because; He feels helpless and useless, every attempt at helping bites him in the end, he regrets almost everything he's ever done, he being tormented mentally by intrusive thoughts and guilt, and most of all, even if he doesn't realise it, Sun is grieving his brother. People don't seem to realise that Moon is effectively dead. He, as his body and mind, is still alive and sometimes gets inklings of feelings from before, but what makes someone themselves isn't just their body or mind, a lot of it is memories, lessons, experiences, and that was completely wiped. While he knows some things, he only knows it from watching the show (which by the way is no doubt horribly uncomfortable for him), he only knows as much as we do, maybe less, meaning he has lost all memories he had before that, of his personal life, of him and Sun "growing up", it's all completely erased. When Moon says he's not the brother Sun shared a body with it's painfully true, Sun has lost the person he's been with since his first thought and I can barely imagine how painful that is.

honestly I get sun, imagine you have spent most of your life with this person that hurts you, lies to you, make you do thing, even if you really care about each other, then all of a sudden they lose their memories, it isn't easy to just forget and imagine them as a new person, that takes a lot of adjusting, and you will likely never forget the old person too, pf course Sun lies about something that was VERY important and he was out of line and shouldn't have done that, but even then he did it because he didn't want his brother to overwork or stress himself or even kill himself
This is hard because neither of them are in the wrong, both of them have valid points but both are failing to see things from the others eyes, how each of them dosnt want the other to get hurt but in turn it’s only hurting both of them.

To be fair, Sun didnt want or ask to be knocked and kidnapped. I feel for Moon, but I dont think he realizes for Sun, Losing Old Moon was like experiencing a death. Yes, Moon is a new person, but Sun still has memories of him, and they arent going to disappear just because...because. Sun loved Old Moon. And New Moon doesnt seem like he realizes that. And I think its very unfairly unhypocritical that the thought passed Moon's mind that it would be nice to lose all his old memories and just throw away everything bad that happened, along with everything good. Sun doesnt have that option. He still has all his fears and traumas and feelings of guilt close to him. Moon--new Moon cares. Thats why finding out Sun was lying hurt him. But the thing is--he's lying to Sun, too...
I’ve noticed that moon and sun haven’t casually addressed eachother as “brother” for a while, just eachother’s names , I think it’s been this way after moon got his memories erased 🥺😭

Sun really said "Fk you" and Moon really screamed- Thats VERY out of character for BOTH of them. I feel like this Moon is a tad bit more snappy, nicer, but when he snaps, he snaps.

I understand the position of the moon as that of the sun, this decision seems good to me since the sun is the one who must trust that the old moon is no longer there and that the new one only wants to change its actions As always a great episode👏👏❤
See when someone says they need space, my anxiety shoots through the roof and I start thinking things like. “Are they tired of me? They are not gonna wanna come back, are they? Are they hurting themselves? Are they not attached to me as I am to them?” All thoughts which make it worse and I end up not giving them that because I feel like a puppy abandoned😅

The way moon yelled “get in the car” sounded like an angry parent with I hate because I hate seeing moon angry but I also love it because it shows the amazement vocal range of moon’s voice actor
Okay, it's a start.... As much as I see where Sun is coming from, I really wish he would just admit that he messed up and was wrong - I think he *knows* he was wrong, but he doesn't want to admit to it, and the stress of the situation is bearing down on him enough that it's overriding any desire to come clean. I sometimes think (maybe just because we as the viewers know more than he does) that he's making the situation out to be a lot worse than it is, or like they have less time that they do. Realistically, Eclipse hasn't made a move in a while, and Ruin - while still an active threat - is a manageable one. They have time to take this at a reasonable pace and collect their thoughts, but Moon is trying to move too fast on a panic reflex. And as Sun pointed out, he is going down the path of Old Moon to a scary degree, and it's hurting New Moon in the process. It seems like this has to come to some kind of breaking point where either Moon both admits that he was wrong and tries to get help, or something really *bad* happens a la Ruin's prediction, and I *really* hope it's not the latter.
Sun is suicidal and he tried to kill himself by overusing star's power. Sun wasn't thinking clearly at that time. Sun constantly blames himself for everything that happened and he thinks that he's always in the wrong. He thought that it would be better if he sacrificed himself while trying to stop Eclipse because he thinks about himself as useless failure.
@@SqarletGecko it's okay. I see and I agree. Moon seems to want to quickly get rid of a problem but it's too quickly. And this insane pacing makes him repeat mistakes of previous Moon. I think that Sun tried to explain himself that he did that because he feels useless and previously he wasn't helpful to Old Moon and Old Moon had to sacrifice himself and in this situation Sun didn't want for New Moon to sacrifice himself while Sun is still useless and not able to help. I think that Sun genuinly thought that it would be better if he sacrificed himself. Or that's how it seems to me.

This was extremely painful to watch...it deeply hurt when sun said "F*ck you" to Moon, he didn't scream at him to gain authority..he's hiding how much that hurt to hear from one of the only people he loves.. All I can say is I feel for Sun but in trying to deal with all this by lying and keeping secrets he's deeply hurting the people that care for him, I've been in that situation and it took me a while to realize just how selfish I was being trying to keep things from my loved ones and not let them be involved in what I was going through. Even if they don't fully understand you do more harm than good by shutting them out, and the worst part is Moony DOES understand. He understands more than Sun could even dream of, but he's so scared he's not even THINKING anymore. He's just responding to emotional stimulus now, and that won't be good for anyone..trust me..

I think I see the problem with Sun! His trauma manifests into fear of failure, loss and change. The trauma made it harder for him to accept change, hence why he sees Moon as such. Along with that the similarities between Moon and Past Moon are triggering some of his painful memories and/or feelings which is why he can’t accept the new Moon.
Agreed, along with the fact that Sun is the only one of the three (Sun, Moon, and Earth) that FULLY remembers everything that's happened to him.
Yeah cause imagine just dealing with that kind of stuff (what the old moon was doing to him) for *6* years!
New Moon only knows what has happened in the sixth year when they got separated because that’s when they started the show and he has all the videos downloaded, and only a little of the start from where how they first met honestly acting like he knows all the old moon has done to sun when it’s honestly a lot worse (at least, in my opinion for the last part he said he got rid of his killcode after the separation so that means he was still making him go through pain from before the show)

Agreed. I think that moon doesn't fully understand that, while he isn't the same person as past moon, he still very much looks like it and has a couple of personality traits of the old him. Sun and past moons' relationship is very complicated, with moon lacking self-control and lashing out on Sun. The relationship got better in the end, but then it turned more into moon taking all the hurt to protect Sun and sun feeling useless in not being able to do the same for moon. I believe that's why Sun tries to take some pressure off present moons shoulders but because he knew past moon wouldn't want him to do that (because he was too scared that Sun will hurt himself) he hides it from present moon. Present moon doesn't want sun to hurt himself and sun thinks that moon isn't being fully honest with him and will yet again try to do everything on his own.
You can't just discard trauma because the person that gave it to you doesn't exist anymore. Trauma sticks with you forever and not working through it in a healthy way will just hurt you further (that's why I hope sun takes some therapy sessions with earth🥲)

It’s interesting to see the true origin of where moons frustration is coming from. The new moon has literally watched all of the old moons worst moments, and has promised to be different because he wants to be a different person. Now that he’s seeing sun repeating the same thing that the old moon did, he’s just scared that they’re going to switch roles. He basically just doesn’t want sun to change into the old moon, cause that’s what the old moon despises about himself the most.

As painful as it is, since they both make good points about this entire dreadful situation and have unique perspectives on what is going on.

I'm glad and sad that my theory about New Moon was correct and that Sun isn't seeing him as someone different but still his brother. But it's good that Moon was able to express to Sun why he's upset and how hurt he is. And the fact Moon is still willing to get Sun and bring him back home is proof that he is not going to abandon Sun.
Now I'm hoping Sun won't just ignore all of this and continue trying to "handle this" alone.

The entire arguement between the two was.. Really bad.
All Sun wanted to do is protect his brother, but he was so tired, worried and anxious about everything that he didn't focus on the fact that his brother was basically gone. He took all his energy and used it all to help Moon. Moon, before the restart, had been using all of HIS energy just to help out HIS brother. Sun didn't understand anything. Moon isn't the same, but Sun doesn't seem like he can understand that. But on Sun's side, he had to deal with Eclipse, all of his brothers dying, and everyone thinking he and Moon were maniacs responsible for the maternity chip. Moon had got a fresh start, but Moon is so stressed with remembering and all of Sun's crap, and Moon has no idea what has ever happened besides what has happened in the show. He doesn't know anything about anyone, or anything before the restart. Moon needs therapy, Sun needs therapy, and they both need some time apart.
Sun needs rest, Moon needs to think, and they are both going to professional therapy.
They need it.

My heart hurt this episode. Both of them are very emotionally hurt: Moon from Sun lying to him and not believing in him, and Sun from his own actions and self-doubt.
I do sincerely hope that once they both are calm enough to talk again that they can talk things out properly and repair their bond, cause it definitely is a bit fractured right now.
What I’m really worried about tho is the fact that this could get so much worse if/when Sun finds out that Moon is doing the one of the *exact things* he’s pissed at Sun for: lying and keeping secrets. Remember when we found out that Creator is secretly using Earth to upload stuff to their databanks? Computer told Moon that, but lied to Sun and said “there was no outside network”, and Moon got in on keeping that secret from Sun.
Sun’s bound to find out at some point. But I wonder if he’ll find out on his own or if Eclipse might reveal it to him to try to drive a wedge between him and Moon, since he seems to be trying it with Foxy and Monty again…

Every time a companion is there to see the doctor regenerate its a massive struggle. Because they're still the Doctor BUT different. Granted Moon isn't changing his entire look, but his personality and antics are a far cry from the previous.
I'm also glad Moon comunicates with Sun they are taking a break from the other so they can sort their shit out. I just hope they can have someone there to help them too.

Moon seems to forget that just bc he got reset and has no memory of stuff therefore it must not be important doesn't mean Sun has. Sun is still affected by Moon, he still has trauma and issues, a lot of which Moon HIMSELF has caused, so ofc he's gonna show signs of that. His head still, most likely, is stuck and trapped in past events and memories(ik mine is) so sometimes he may mistake the past for the present and/or be triggered by things
(Think about it as a DCA, if a child was being abused or harmed in any way by a parent or other relative, and that relative suddenly forgot everything, you wouldn't expect that child to forgive that person and forget about it all would you? You would most likely expect and understand why the child is still affected even if it happened years ago)
Sun doesn't refuse to believe Moon has changed and what not, he KNOWS Moon is different, but that doesn't mean he still isn't affected by stuff surrounding Moon.
Moon may not forget things but he still is roughly the same. Because he never died, he just reset. Our devices sometimes gets reset when bad things happen, whether its bc its lagging or glitching ir whatever, that doesn't mean that it died, cause if it did it would have shutdown withe a loading screen saying "shutting down"
If Moon did die he would have shut down not reset. So in the end he is still roughly the same
If moon really believes that he is not the same AT ALL and that he doesn't have even a little bit of the same experiences, then I'm sorry to say this but what Moon is feeling now is VERY little compared to what Sun has been through and is still going through. Meaning Moon has no right to tell Sun to get over it or even to say things like this when he has NO IDEA on what its like

Ok here's my little theory but my theory is obvious but anyway :we know that sun has trauma from the old moon right? And it shows in the last lore episodes such as moon trying to hug tun *two* times and sun backs away he's scared of being touched because from an episode I forgot the name moon thought he was eclipse and blamed himself hurting/punching sun sun is *scared* because the old moon never exactly loved sun old moon did hig sun all he did was try to say comforting words but old moon was so aggressive even towards sun so it makes sense for sun to still vividly remember that now sun should have not been running himself down but the thing is he keeps thinking of the old moon ciz the old moon was yk not all that great to sun but that's my lil theory

The fact that I could sense New Moon felt this way long before any of this happened... poor thing is constantly compared to his predecessor and pressured to be like OG Moon by both his brother AND a large number of the fans... even though that's the last thing he wants. Very few of us actually saw and accepted that he's a completely separate individual... because people couldn't accept that OG Moon was gone. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand the grief... I miss the OG Moon as much as anyone! And I know that's most of why Sun is acting this way... grief. That's why I don't blame him. But we all have to recognize that OG Moon is gone.
New Moon is a completely different character... similar to the clone situation with Maisie in Jurassic World Dominion. He may look the same and have a similar base code, but he's his own separate person. And honestly, he's a wonderful individual! He deserves a proper chance to be himself, and not be compared to his predecessor.
I genuinely feel for both brothers. I hope, after they both cool down, that Moony figures out a way to truly express to Sun that he's completely different... that he's gentle and caring. And I hope Sun is able to recognize that and accept his help. I also just really want to see them hug! 🥺
I heavily agree that people need to accept that OG Moon is gone. I had a hard time accepting it for a while, but I have now.
I also agree that Sun is having a hard time accepting this because of grief, but I also believe PTSD plays a part as well. If you think about it, OG Moon was abusive (both physically and emotionally) to Sun and even neglectful at times, even if he didn’t mean to be. As another comment said, even tho New Moon is different from OG Moon, Sun will still be affected by the damage that OG Moon did to him, and New Moon having similarities to OG Moon may be a PTSD trigger for Sun (similar to how Lunar was scared of Sun for a while because Sun himself unknowingly was a trigger for Lunar’s PTSD of Eclipse from when they took over), and to be quite honest, I don’t believe New Moon is recognizing this because he’s too focused on how he feels and what he thinks is happening rather than listening to Sun. I also don’t think New Moon realizes that Sun also has separation anxiety, which is why Sun was looking for him even tho he wanted some space.
Yeah Sun shouldn’t have lied to Moon about what he was doing and he is in the wrong for that, and Moon does have the right to be pissed about it, but he doesn’t have the right to put Sun down like this especially when he knows how bad Sun’s mental state is.
And you know what else Moon is in the wrong for? Doing the *exact same thing* Sun did: lying and keeping secrets behind his back. I don't entirely blame New Moon for not recognizing some of Sun's problems though. Sun is good at pretending, and I'm sure he hides a lot of the problems we can see from Moon. Or at least he did until recently.
For example, I can see how Moon would miss the separation anxiety, as well as where he wouldn't fully grasp how deep Sun's PTSD goes.
Honestly, both brothers need a major lesson in COMMUNICATION! If they'd learn to communicate their emotions properly and calmly, and listened to eachother, they'd be able to actually move forward from all this.

As someone who over works themselves just to help people (i'm a severer case of people pleasing) and watching this episode was rather hard for me because I had someone confront me about how overworked I am and basically doin what sun is doing.
I literally have no words about it... this simply makes me very sorry after the previous fight I think this one has been worse... although that is if they need to isolate themselves a bit, try to think what they will do in the situation, I just hope that everything will be fine again...although it is shown that Moon, despite the fight, did not want something to happen to Sun, although he still resents him
By the way, then if Sun can feel the temperature, maybe Moon can't because he's in a different body. I mean, the original body is that Sunny, i see a drawing where sun is checking the temperature of a bottle with his finger in case it was too hot or too cold,could be something possible, sometimes I like to see what kind of components sun and moon have in themselves
Speaking of which, we have seen the time that the old moon was in very bad condition. I mean, it did not recharge for weeks and it ended up without energy, it is not known if something similar happened to Sunny, I mean, this situation is so tense that it could put him in some trouble. But who knows, it's just speculation

This is even worse than bad. Sun's mind is teetering on the brink and I think we're about to cross the point of no return here. Isolating and not talking to him just means the voices are going to go into overdrive to push Sun further, and with what Jig-Sun stirred up, they're gonna have a field day raking Sun over the coals.
Sun needs to mourn, and no one seems to get that. No one seems to realize that Sun clings to Old Moon because he hasn't fully accepted that he's gone. And as long as he's not allowed to process this, he can't accept New Moon as his sibling.

This is rough, there's still so much hurt between them and...the infuriating part is that both of them have vaild points and feelings and I'm glad this conversation has been at least started even if it was rocky. But holy hell, it feels like they're not listening to each other because yes you are right, Moon is being misunderstood here and has every right to ticked off but so does Sun. However, them two having space from each other might help if only to settle some of the heightened emotions. Lastly, that despite being so angry, Moon still went to get his brother, like 'the fights on pause until I know you're safe' is a good trope

This episode really, really hurts me. Both are rightfully upset
Moon because; No one seems to get that he is a different person than his predecessor, his brother is lying and hurting himself, he was thrown headfirst into a conflict he wasn't around to even see the start of, and I don't doubt he feels extreme identity issues because of his situation
Sun because; He feels helpless and useless, every attempt at helping bites him in the end, he regrets almost everything he's ever done, he being tormented mentally by intrusive thoughts and guilt, and most of all, even if he doesn't realise it, Sun is grieving his brother.
People don't seem to realise that Moon is effectively dead. He, as his body and mind, is still alive and sometimes gets inklings of feelings from before, but what makes someone themselves isn't just their body or mind, a lot of it is memories, lessons, experiences, and that was completely wiped.
While he knows some things, he only knows it from watching the show (which by the way is no doubt horribly uncomfortable for him), he only knows as much as we do, maybe less, meaning he has lost all memories he had before that, of his personal life, of him and Sun "growing up", it's all completely erased. When Moon says he's not the brother Sun shared a body with it's painfully true, Sun has lost the person he's been with since his first thought and I can barely imagine how painful that is.
All of this is true! Let Sun grieve properly! 😭

honestly I get sun, imagine you have spent most of your life with this person that hurts you, lies to you, make you do thing, even if you really care about each other, then all of a sudden they lose their memories, it isn't easy to just forget and imagine them as a new person, that takes a lot of adjusting, and you will likely never forget the old person too, pf course Sun lies about something that was VERY important and he was out of line and shouldn't have done that, but even then he did it because he didn't want his brother to overwork or stress himself or even kill himself

To be fair, Sun didnt want or ask to be knocked and kidnapped. I feel for Moon, but I dont think he realizes for Sun, Losing Old Moon was like experiencing a death. Yes, Moon is a new person, but Sun still has memories of him, and they arent going to disappear just because...because. Sun loved Old Moon. And New Moon doesnt seem like he realizes that. And I think its very unfairly unhypocritical that the thought passed Moon's mind that it would be nice to lose all his old memories and just throw away everything bad that happened, along with everything good. Sun doesnt have that option. He still has all his fears and traumas and feelings of guilt close to him.

Okay, it's a start....
As much as I see where Sun is coming from, I really wish he would just admit that he messed up and was wrong - I think he *knows* he was wrong, but he doesn't want to admit to it, and the stress of the situation is bearing down on him enough that it's overriding any desire to come clean. I sometimes think (maybe just because we as the viewers know more than he does) that he's making the situation out to be a lot worse than it is, or like they have less time that they do. Realistically, Eclipse hasn't made a move in a while, and Ruin - while still an active threat - is a manageable one. They have time to take this at a reasonable pace and collect their thoughts, but Moon is trying to move too fast on a panic reflex. And as Sun pointed out, he is going down the path of Old Moon to a scary degree, and it's hurting New Moon in the process. It seems like this has to come to some kind of breaking point where either Moon both admits that he was wrong and tries to get help, or something really *bad* happens a la Ruin's prediction, and I *really* hope it's not the latter.
Sun is suicidal and he tried to kill himself by overusing star's power.
Sun wasn't thinking clearly at that time.
Sun constantly blames himself for everything that happened and he thinks that he's always in the wrong.
He thought that it would be better if he sacrificed himself while trying to stop Eclipse because he thinks about himself as useless failure.
And to me Moon shouldn't yell non stop. It was frustrating.

I see and I agree. Moon seems to want to quickly get rid of a problem but it's too quickly. And this insane pacing makes him repeat mistakes of previous Moon.
I think that Sun tried to explain himself that he did that because he feels useless and previously he wasn't helpful to Old Moon and Old Moon had to sacrifice himself and in this situation Sun didn't want for New Moon to sacrifice himself while Sun is still useless and not able to help. I think that Sun genuinly thought that it would be better if he sacrificed himself. Or that's how it seems to me.

This was extremely painful to watch...it deeply hurt when sun said "F*ck you" to Moon, he didn't scream at him to gain authority..he's hiding how much that hurt to hear from one of the only people he loves..
All I can say is I feel for Sun but in trying to deal with all this by lying and keeping secrets he's deeply hurting the people that care for him, I've been in that situation and it took me a while to realize just how selfish I was being trying to keep things from my loved ones and not let them be involved in what I was going through. Even if they don't fully understand you do more harm than good by shutting them out, and the worst part is Moony DOES understand. He understands more than Sun could even dream of, but he's so scared he's not even THINKING anymore. He's just responding to emotional stimulus now, and that won't be good for anyone..trust me..
