Okay.. So I just finished watching this video 3x's and I sat down and made this! I cook for an institution and the men Loved it!! That cinnamon and brown sugar was a hit! We didn't have chili powder but I used cayenne pepper instead.. I never had it myself before😁😁 Can't wait to do it Again!! "City girl in North Carolina"
I will definitely try this! I roasted halves today with brown sugar butter cinnamon and after I took them out drizzled with honey. Took about 50 minutes for 6 halves.
That looks a whole lot easier to cut than butternut squash! Butternut will 1000% come for you and your fingers, but it’s so good! I’ll have to try this.
Nice video. I would adjust the seasonings as you suggested. I wanted to print out a recipe for Thanksgiving because it is a busy day and couldn't find this recipe via a direct link. That would make this perfect instead of having to search your website and deal with pop ups! Thank you
I just made the squash with substitutes, and it is so delicious. I substituted coconut sugar instead of brown sugar and added maple syrup as a molasses substitute. I used avocado oil instead of olive oil. I absolutely love it! Thanks!!!
My sister-in-law brought me for acorn squash I've never fixed before in my life and I have done all kinds of canning and I have also fixed other squash but never acorn squash I hope I do it right how many recipes do you have to make acorn squash you make super can you add other stuff besides this recipe this one looks amazing
@@CalibamaCookingwithChefLorious thank you so much for this. I just got my farm box with an acorn squash inside and I love finding good and new ways to make them. I love this way and I’m looking forward to making this !
Thank you very much. Your explanation was super easy to follow and you were 100% right to add the chili powder. This tasted so good as a side dish and snacking on it. I wonder if there's away to make these thinner, to bake them like chips, but with the same exact tasty seasoning? Thank you again!
Your personality is adorable! I’ll be cooking acorn squash for my first time and I appreciate this recipe!

I enjoyed cooking with you! 😘😘😘
I must try the chili powder next time I cook squash. I've always used salt, pepper and butter. The chili powder looks like it takes it up a notch!
I like your explanation...thank you fr sharing
My pleasure! I love explaining the process 👩🏽🍳
Thank You
Microwave the whole squash for 5 minutes, let it cool off for a minute or two and then Cut in Half, cuts nice and easy.
Great idea….that works too!!! Thanks so much 👩🏽🍳
Hi 👋 I tried your recipe on acorn squash I grew in my garden this year and it was delicious. Thank you!

I ALWAYSHINE - I know, that’s the only pre-cut veggie I will buy no matter what the charge🤣🤣🤣

That is awesome!
So what do you suggest having with it for dinner ?
I would probably have baked or roasted chicken. The flavors work well together.
