isanntori it’s actually something that happens with the brain after being used to wearing makeup all the time and on the day you’re not wearing any, you notice the dark circles, blemishes and etc that the makeup covered before. So that’s why people feel more insecure during those days. It’s a normal phenomenon

I know Korean and Japanese cultures are not the same and don’t want to start a debate, but we cover our mouth almost unconsciously when we’re surprised or laugh no matter if we wear makeup or not. At the end, she seems trying to cover her face, and that might be because she’s not wearing makeup and it’s just like anyone get shy when they’re not wearing makeup (and she met her fans!)
