Great content Dr. Cellini! I really like the added teaching session. As a med student, I think they make your content extra informative. Keep up the great work! ;)
Hi !! i'm a radiology resident living in South Korea and i do vlogs also. It was interesting checking out the life of a radiology resident in another country😎
Hi! I'm a radiologic technology student in the Philippines and I really want to work there in South Korea someday :) is it hard? And do they accept foreigners to work at hospitals there? I hope you're doing good and fine!! I'm your subscriber 💖
I am a PA student who just started clinicals 2 weeks ago. First is OBGYN, but seeing that about the gall bladder is great info! I definitely have heard of those scans and know they are for testing the gall bladder but the video of what is normal and not is great. :)
yoo I don't care what anyone else says you have to keep making these kinds of videos. I'm tryna be a radiologist myself and your videos are really inspiring and I'm sure these kinds of videos help many others decide what they want to do too!
new subbie. Just wanted to say thanks for all you do....very inspirational to see you vlogging and give us an inside look at what happens..I think people forget the long shifts, nights etc. Looking forward to more of your vlogs.
As a Child Life Student, I will soon start my practicum clinical hours in which I will be paired with a Child Life Specialist and essentially follow them around for a few weeks before patients are handed off to me and then I will go and evaluate for child life services and if deemed necessary follow up with my supervisor. I am definitely not looking forward to working nights at the hospital I am looking at does provide child life coverage on the PACU, PICU, and NICU from 11 pm-6 am where we essentially sit and wait for a page in case child life services are needed overnight or we get a consult for a overnight procedure in which educational services or distraction are needed such as for emergency surgeries. We will even get paged for Code Blues on the PICU and NICU to provide comfort and distraction to siblings and bereavement care if it gets to that point
Fantastic video!! Always love seeing educational videos in a practical context: the way you used practical examples to help with explanation of concepts was great👌
You're videos are so fascinating. I love everything medical and science. That's why I'm pursuing a career as a PA. You can call me a nerd for this stuff.
Laying in bed, thinking of all the work that i need to finish before hospital tomorrow and here shows up your video and i subscribe for a pull of motivation 😊
Wow, what an interesting and intellectual job! You must get to work with all kinds of awesome people. Any particular senior residents or role models that you really look up to?
Hi, Dr. Cellini! Love your videos and I really enjoyed watching this vlog. I often wonder with working so many hours and going through so many hours of training, what kind of self-care do you engage in in order to keep yourself healthy? I, too, work long hours and am Always looking for different ways I can practice self-care. Thanks and keep on rocking w those vlogs!
This is so cool! I’m a med student right now and it really makes me excited to become a doctor! But for now I’m going to enjoy the journey haha. Love to watch more videos like this!
That was a great vlog! I think you should do more! Maybe not so much coffee in that press next time cause you gonna wear off those buttons on that elevator. HAHAHAHA
Do you have an tips for a future interventional radiologist/radiologist? I am currently going for rad tech for now. I am looking forward to becoming a doctor. Best schools? Tuition? Debt? Help please???
Dr. Cellini, On April 19,2019 it'll be 2 years since I had my Cholecystectomy. Approx 2 weeks prior to that I had a HIDA scan and they found that with my gallbladder, there weren't any gallstones or infection from what my Dr told me. The report that my Dr gave me was that my gallbladder simply wasn't working and that my "ejection fraction" if you will was about at 0 so they only way to correct that was with surgery. However, I was not shown what an abnormal scan such as in my case actually would look like. Could you possibly show an example on one of these videos of what an abnormal scan looks like, please? I would like to have some idea of what my Dr may have seen at that time. Thank you and I like your videos. I have several chronic health conditions which go hand in hand with each other and I like to educate myself and I find your videos to be very educational.
Thank you for sharing all the radiology knowledge that we haven't learned in medical school. I am a current 1st year medical student who is interested in both IR and general surgery. What makes you choose DR over IR?
I know this is an old Vlog but I have a question and hope you see this. It’s not about a HIDA scan but a Gallium scan. I had a gallium scan several years ago because every I had fevers that were unable to be traced...elevated CBC, elevated inflammatory markers, fevers of 103/104, Cultures - , immuno-compromised... so here’s my question, they ordered a Gallium scan and it came back + for a kidney infection but then the doctors said it’s not a very accurate testing measure. So why is this test used??
I had no pain, but violent sickness off and on for a year. They kept doing ultrasounds saying I had no stones so it wasn’t my gallbladder. I heard of the Hyda Scan and insisted on having one because I was so sick. I had the scan.. They called me back saying my gallbladder was working 1/2 of 1% of the time. How would that have looked on the scan?
Call would be great if they were all negative non con head CTs, negative BL LE venous US and negative chest X-rays...unfortunately the inevitable cancergrams, BL LE CTA runoffs and misc MRIs that probably shouldn't be ordered in the first place...throw in some stroke CTA head/neck and perfusion studies and call it a normal night
Very cool that you have a mini one button in your intro! My son is 2.5 and has one and when I saw it in your video, I said "HEY! I know what that was!!" 😂
I’m so addicted to your videos I’m starting to watch them all for a second time so if you could step up the pace that would be great...haha j/k. On a more serious note, do you ever read a study where it looks so bad your stomach sinks a little?
I just subscribed nice videos, very informative, quick questions which one u think is the best diagnostic Imaging or Nuclear Medicine? Thanks for ur videos!😁
