This one had red fluid in it and was leaking just a little bit. We put the "correct" fluid in it and the leak stopped. I feel like trans fluid is thinner viscosity and was able to seep by a little easier. I could be wrong and there could be some sort of coincidence that I didn't see
It's probably an internal seal leak in the unit. Depending on the model, it might have a rebuild kit that is offered by the OEM manufacturer. That would definitely save some money over buying a new one.
Thanks for the reply my man well I raised the engine all the way and tried removing the yellow cap where you put the oil in no air came out but oil did I'm thinking of just draining the oil and put some new fluid in there
@octaviofuentes7781 I'm gonna say that you probably have a bad valve inside the unit and that is what is letting the fluid pass by and not holding it up.
There should just be 1 cap for the oil fill, make sure the motor is in the up position before checking the fluid. Quicksilver makes an oil specific to tilt and trim pumps
@santoshtambekar2447 I can't share pictures to the comments, but if you do a quick search on Google for your specific engine then it will give you the location. All outboards have them in different locations
You Guys are doing a great job!!!
I’m sure enjoying every minute of your presentation’s👏👏👍👍😊
Thank you!!
Very helpful thank yall so much
No problem! Thanks for watching!
My xps tilt trim fluid for my Evinrude is a slight reddish color
That's good info to know. I can definitely tell what we had wasn't as thick as the fluid we got from our Mercury store.
You guys made that look easy 😊
Dam skiffy!
Ребята, спасибо за видео! Успехов!
Thanks for watching
I used Dextron 3 instead of special oil to fill the trim. It also could be any ATF liquid for the procedure.

Im having an issue with the engine trimming itself down slowly over a day or so what do you think it could be

Check out trimandtilt.com for a rebuild too
My outboard goes up but you can push it down by hand any Ideas? Also it won't go up when under load
Did you already check to see if you have air trapped in the reservoir when it's fully raised?

2017 tracker v16 guide bought it 6 years ago and my warranty ended may 2024
@octaviofuentes7781 oh man, sounds like they designed it to fail in perfect time for their bottom line... things just don't last how they used to
I guess I got lucky, the fill plug looked like it was pretty loose, I refilled the pump, took about an ounce, and it’s working perfect again
Gotta love an easy fix!!
Which trim oil fill

Motar not working which problem
There is a relay bank that controls the pump. It's under the cowl and it may be bad if you have power but the pump doesn't work
Plz shere the realy position picture sir

Mercury optimax 115 EFI engine plz shere realy photo sir
What outboard is this?
It's on a Mariner 60hp Bigfoot
Hydraulic and Motor
Dovrebbe essere possibile anche la lingua italiano per capire.
Are you in Italy?
how did you lifted the engine when it could not go up by itself? I have the same issue but I do not know how to lift up the engine. 😂
There is a spot on the side that you put a screwdriver in to release the hydraulics
You just lift with your back, it will come up
You have spiders...
I'm unsubscibing!!!! Lol
Creepy crawley ones too!! Hahaha
He left the spider in there just for you 😂
