The idea that suffering is an illusion is BS. Jesus suffered and taught us how to suffer and embrace our crosses, by uniting our suffering with his, not by pretending the suffering isn't real. Suffering has value inasmuch as we can offer it to God as reparation for our sins and the sins of others. One who has never known suffering can never know Jesus well, because they cannot begin to understand what he willingly went through out of love for us.

Suffering is an illusion.. Its when we turn Pain into suffering.. Pain is part of being human... Suffering is not.
