Hey Adam! The colors of this series, as with all our Artist Signature Mallets, are all artist choice. So no correlation to the hardness of the mallet. :)
Hahaha, me too! I didn't think this many people were into it. I guess it's just like anything else and it's fun to collect regardless of how well you play the instrument :)
I played around with the one's and the sevens earlier today. I'm really liking the feel of the ones. I might have to pick up a pair for myself soon enough
Have you checked out Artifact Percussion? They're new on Steve Weiss, and they have marimba mallets coming soon. I LOVE this channel. I've been waiting for something like this for so long!
Those mallets are awesome! I really like the 7's which is weird because I usually do not like hard mallets. Great video! I really enjoyed it. You should review the She-e Wu mallet series if you have access to them. The only review that I know of is her talking about them. Anyway, I love this channel!
TJ Haley Thanks for watching! I assume you mean the 1s because the 7s are very soft 😁 But yes they're quite fun! And you're the second person to suggest the She-e Wu series, so will look into it!
Hey Adam! Great video! I love watching the reviews! I don't know if its possible, but would you do a review/comparison of other marimba's to Marimba Ones? I don't know if your school owns other types like the Yamaha's or Malletech's? I'd really love to see an in depth comparison between them! Thanks!
Kyle Spence Thanks for watching! My university has a Yamaha YM 5100 and a Musser five octave. Build quality wise obviously my marimba is the most robust and heaviest, sound wise mine is warmer and has a longer bar ring but the Yamaha is more consistent across notes because it's mass produced. The Musser has a fat bass sound because of its curved resonators but the actual bars are pretty average in terms of ring length and tone. Something like that ahaha
Kyle Spence I'll definitely look into it man. Mainly because I don't technically study there next year its a bit hard to get hold of it long enough for me to film, but we'll see :)
Great video! Where did you learn how to play? You are an amazing musician. I have a marimba and have no idea how to play it haha! Much love from Canada
Corazon Medicina I studied it in high school and university 😀 It's a great instrument to pick up and learn, you should give it a go! Thanks for watching all the way from Canada!
thank you for your shaing! I'm looking for the introduce of these mallets! These Mallets is very amazing!!! aslo I like the song which you play in the video i'm wonder to know where can i buy it?
Heyo Adam, I just found your channel and it's been very informative to watch your videos. Anyways, I'll be playing Etude in C Major by Clair Omar Musser on Marimba for solo ensemble in the Spring. What hardness of this mallet would you recommend for this piece? I've been planning to buy Marimba One Mallets, and I'm unsure of which one I need for this piece. If Katarzyna Mycka Mallets wouldn't work well for the piece, what other set of mallets would you suggest for the piece?
A Vael If you were to go with the KMBs I think maybe 4-3-3-3 or 4-4-3-3 would do a great job since the Etude is treble heavy. If you wanted something less heavy then Van Sice 113-114-114-114 would be pretty decent 😀
Adam Tan Thanks for replying! I'll go with the 4-4-3-3 KMBs since I prefer heavier mallets. Also, it'll be easier to get the two pairs. I'll probably get some Van Sice Mallets since they aren't extremely expensive and you seem quite fond of them in your review. I've been enjoying your channel and all the reviews and everything. Thanks so much!
Hey could you please start an affordable stick bag challenge cuz there's allot of beginners that want some good affordable mallets and stick bag. Cuz not everyone have a 1000 to spend on sticks
hmm i think van sices *cough* would be welcomed by anyone in their humes and berg mallet bag. Like the M113 or even the whole series would be the best hahaha. Pls going for performer of the year with an etude requires intense practise :P
Hey Adam! The colors of this series, as with all our Artist Signature Mallets, are all artist choice. So no correlation to the hardness of the mallet. :)
Marimba One That's the answer I was looking for! Thanks :)
Marimba One nice
I'm just glad somebody shares my affinity for mallet culture.
Hahaha, me too! I didn't think this many people were into it. I guess it's just like anything else and it's fun to collect regardless of how well you play the instrument :)
Great channel! Great reviews
Thank you for checking it out Casey :)
I love your videos and I don't understand how u don't have more subs than this you have a better setup than some big TH-camrs keep up the good work!
iJustifyz Haha thank you so much! It's not about the gear but how you use it right 😄
I played around with the one's and the sevens earlier today. I'm really liking the feel of the ones. I might have to pick up a pair for myself soon enough
They are very good for articulate mallets! Best of luck with your purchasing :)
OH BOY! They're here!! Been waiting for this review and appreciate it greatly Adam!

No worries ;)
You should definitely check out the malletech eMotion series next! They are my go to mallets and sound fantastic!
Thanks for the suggestion! I've been keen to give them a try since Malletech promised to send me mallets...
Those mallets are awesome! I really like the 7's which is weird because I usually do not like hard mallets. Great video! I really enjoyed it. TJ Haley Thanks for the support 😄
Awesome video! Would it be possible to review the Bogdan Bacanu mallets?
Thanks for the suggestion! You're the second person to ask so I'll look into it :)
Hey Adam, great channel and vids!
Could you do Blake Tyson's new malletech mallet or possibly the Leigh Howard Stevens series?
Thanks for the recommend! I was supposed to be sent LHS but I think they forgot...

Adam Tan would you do a review vid on them like you did with your marimba? Maybe a side by side comparison?
Kyle Spence I'll definitely look into it man. Mainly because I don't technically study there next year its a bit hard to get hold of it long enough for me to film, but we'll see :)
Hey Adam. I like your reviews, they make me want to buy them 20% more. You should review the IP Jim Casella marimba mallets for marchingband
Al Sky Fajardo Only 20% more hey 😋 Thanks for the recommend, lots of people have asked me for this!
wow my personal favorite are the medium hard mallets but you should review vic firth ian grom mallets
Yeah they sound really good in the top end! Thanks for the recommend :)
Those mallets sound great!
Thanks for watching man! Yeah they sound really good, I'll probably end up actually using these :)
you should review the vic firth Giff Howarths
Howarths! I'd never thought of that, thanks for the suggestion :)
Great video! Where did you learn how to play? You are an amazing musician. I have a marimba and have no idea how to play it haha! Much love from Canada

These Mallets is very amazing!!!
aslo I like the song which you play in the video
i'm wonder to know where can i buy it?
Thanks for watching Danny! Unfortunately I made up this piece on the spot haha, so I don't sell it or anything. That would have been nice ;)
Can you do some of the others in your bag that you haven't reviewed yet?
Elijah Shina I'm planning on it 😀 any in particular?
please review Kevin Bobo's malletch series
gamecubehero Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into it :)

Fair enough man, the KMBs are very good! Yes I do love the VS series' versatility a lot :) Thank you for taking the time to watch and your kind words!
Malletech Grand Soloist series?
Musiconnixs Really want to look at them. Thanks for the suggestion 😀
welcome! also awesome videos, they're my go-to :D
Adam, if I were to purchase 3 different pairs of these, which combination should I go for to get the best sound for most general marimba pieces.
I’d say maybe start with the 6, 4 and 3! Then you have a soft, a good medium and an articulate top to mix and match!
Thanks for the info Adam!
So cool, thank you ! But I want them all haha 😁
Selma Doyen They are really nice, if you like them it could be totally worth it!
Is it too late to put this series on my letter to Santa?...
Hahaha it's never too late! :o
Innovative Percussion Soloist Series
Hey could you please start an affordable stick bag challenge cuz there's allot of beginners that want some good affordable mallets and stick bag. Cuz not everyone have a 1000 to spend on sticks
pls do a give awayy! I feel like I need to get new mallets for yr 12 hahaha
Nik M Hahaha what should I give away? Year 12 you don't really need that many mallets though... ;)
hmm i think van sices *cough* would be welcomed by anyone in their humes and berg mallet bag. Like the M113 or even the whole series would be the best hahaha. Pls going for performer of the year with an etude requires intense practise :P
Nik M Hahahaha good excuse ;) Maybe I'll do a giveaway at 1k subs!
Just one little hint: her name is pronounced Katashina
MAN I suck at pronouncing names hahaha. Thank you for letting me know :)
I'm pretty sure she's used to her name not being pronounced correctly (who could know that in poland rz=sh?)
