    A squirt bottle with a little bit of unscented Castile soap does a great job too if you can’t use the toilet paper plant to wipe yourself. Dry with a clean wash cloth.

    Im not so sure how ethical this is not bc it isn’t an idea that i disagree with but bc of promoting the growth of an invasive species as toilet paper. Do you think you can find native regional plants that can fulfill the same purpose ? like here in the southwest mullein can be used as a replacement if i remember correctly plus it has other benefits as well. Just a thought; love what you do rob.

    Thanks Rob for all you do! Hey I'm growing my own soap! Tons of varieties of ceanothus, native to the Americas, contain tons of saponins, mix it with water and wash dishes, clothes, anything... and if you're using the grey water for your plants you don't have to worry about all the toxic chemicals that are in virtually all commercialized soaps (even the so-called 'greywater safe' ones.

    • @3moirai
      @3moirai ปีที่แล้ว +2

      from the webpage Rob provided:
      If you have a flush toilet you can place a small bucket next to your toilet to place your used leaves. Then take them outside and compost them. (Follow our guide to composting humanure below). This is a common practice throughout many regions of the world where the flush toilet systems need more gentle care.
      We have not experimented with flushing them and our recommendation is to not flush them.
