Nice to see ppl understanding why we in Aqua Crew love this Onion so much. Usually ppl just know her Baqua side...thankfully it’s slowly changing from the comments I’ve seen.
It hurts a lot when you realize how often Aqua was repeating that playing games is the only skills she's feeling good at and she got defeated by "everything i touch is turning into the gold" Suisei. Aqua is trying her best, probably more than any other girl and yet she got defeated by someone that can make a lot of things so easily.
I feel it is kind of the opposite. Suisei was never good at any one thing specifically and lacked qualifications as a result. That's why she couldn't be a real idol and that's why she got denied entry to Hololive on her first audition. However, it was the drive Suisei put forward to improve individual aspects of herself to compensate that made her talented at developing skills quickly. Suisei grinded Mario Cart and improved quickly as a result of this skill, but she still had to put in an immense amount of effort. She is just the sort of person that is willing to put in the effort to improve because that's the reason she is where she is now.
Suisei basically gave away the win to Aqua. Suisei did poorly on the last race, she placed 8th. Aqua needed to place 3rd or better to win(if I remember correctly Aqua would have won the tiebreaker) and Fubuki stole 3rd place at the last second from Aqua. Suisei basically has Fubuki to thank for denying Aqua the win.
This tournament was fully of laughter, screaming and a lot of tears. A true roller coaster of emotions. Seeing one of the girls cry is tough but seeing multiple ones is just heart breaking. You will win next year for sure aqua, an onion never gives up.
we must protect this onion at all costs! also, it's totally fine to cry once in a while and it's alright to feel frustrated. This will just motivate her to do even better the next time and it'll be more satisfying when she wins.

Although I didn't have a chance to watch everyone practising, it does feel like every Hololive members in the tournament gave their all. I have heard many other members shed tears throughout the tournament, so I too got caught up emotionally even though this was originally just a fun event for me.

I was there at the main stream while going to others stream to check how they are doing on their perspective. When the last round happened and i saw the total score of suisei and aqua, I instantly went to aqua's stream and saw her crying. That shit gotta hurt. Being defending champion and losing by 1 point hurts so much more than losing by a large margin, cause you're so close, yet so far. She was practicing hard too so there's that also. I hope she gets her revenge next year, cause suisei got hers.
This year Hololive Mario Kart tournament is not just a game It's like a real esports where they really pour their heart and soul to play this and really want to win They all already do the best and they don't regret it It was fun tournament and i can't wait to see next year tournament
Feels like tensions were hella high for all these girls to cry like this. I think the difference between this tournament and any of the other competitions they do, even the sports festival, is that Mario kart is something they all actually played and (many) of them thought they could actually win at. As opposed to a random game or quiz. They even practiced! It's easy to laugh off a random game that nobody prepared much for, but even though there was nothing at stake it felt more personal for them.
Doesn’t matter what it is, losing so closely at something you really care about hurts like mad. The highs that come from the lows are what make it worthwhile.

Nice to see ppl understanding why we in Aqua Crew love this Onion so much. Usually ppl just know her Baqua side...thankfully it’s slowly changing from the comments I’ve seen.
It hurts a lot when you realize how often Aqua was repeating that playing games is the only skills she's feeling good at and she got defeated by "everything i touch is turning into the gold" Suisei.
Aqua is trying her best, probably more than any other girl and yet she got defeated by someone that can make a lot of things so easily.
I feel it is kind of the opposite. Suisei was never good at any one thing specifically and lacked qualifications as a result. That's why she couldn't be a real idol and that's why she got denied entry to Hololive on her first audition. However, it was the drive Suisei put forward to improve individual aspects of herself to compensate that made her talented at developing skills quickly. Suisei grinded Mario Cart and improved quickly as a result of this skill, but she still had to put in an immense amount of effort. She is just the sort of person that is willing to put in the effort to improve because that's the reason she is where she is now.
Suisei basically gave away the win to Aqua. Suisei did poorly on the last race, she placed 8th. Aqua needed to place 3rd or better to win(if I remember correctly Aqua would have won the tiebreaker) and Fubuki stole 3rd place at the last second from Aqua. Suisei basically has Fubuki to thank for denying Aqua the win.
Losing to 1 point really is frustrating even I know that feeling
This tournament was fully of laughter, screaming and a lot of tears. A true roller coaster of emotions.
Seeing one of the girls cry is tough but seeing multiple ones is just heart breaking. You will win next year for sure aqua, an onion never gives up.

@@hotstinkytaco not quite. Felipe Massa nearly win the 2008 F1 championship and secure a win at the final race in Brazil (more impactful since it was his home course). But just like Aqua, he was just 1 point lower than the eventual winner Lewis Hamilton.

Although I didn't have a chance to watch everyone practising, it does feel like every Hololive members in the tournament gave their all. I have heard many other members shed tears throughout the tournament, so I too got caught up emotionally even though this was originally just a fun event for me.

I was there at the main stream while going to others stream to check how they are doing on their perspective. When the last round happened and i saw the total score of suisei and aqua, I instantly went to aqua's stream and saw her crying. That shit gotta hurt. Being defending champion and losing by 1 point hurts so much more than losing by a large margin, cause you're so close, yet so far. She was practicing hard too so there's that also. I hope she gets her revenge next year, cause suisei got hers.
Aqua Mario carting skill is still top tier! Watching her stream on Mario cart let me learn a lot on how to play competitively lol

It's like a real esports where they really pour their heart and soul to play this and really want to win
They all already do the best and they don't regret it

Feels like tensions were hella high for all these girls to cry like this. I think the difference between this tournament and any of the other competitions they do, even the sports festival, is that Mario kart is something they all actually played and (many) of them thought they could actually win at. As opposed to a random game or quiz. They even practiced!
It's easy to laugh off a random game that nobody prepared much for, but even though there was nothing at stake it felt more personal for them.
Doesn’t matter what it is, losing so closely at something you really care about hurts like mad. The highs that come from the lows are what make it worthwhile.
Argh this still hurts me but she's nearing 1m subscribers and we will be there to celebrate instead.

Anyone not understanding how frustrating this is never really competed. Aqua poured everything the last few days into improving and performed so well. She wanted to defend this no matter what. Losing by one point just showed how extremely good those two are. I was close to crying myself because I was watching her Stream the entire time.. :( Stay strong Onion Maid!
