Sarah, Holy cow. Fantastic daughter father trip. I’m amazed at all the detailed architecture. I can’t imagine creating it or even keeping it clean. Thanks so much for sharing bob
Thailand has exquisitely beautiful temples and palaces. I never realized that they covered such a large area--They're huge! And what a treat for you to visit an ethically-run Elephant Sanctuary. Thanks for sharing. ❤🐘🐘🐘
What an amazing video you made for us, Sarah! And it’s extremely heartbreaking about the elephants. Thank you for checking where there are ethical places to visit. It just breaks my heart because elephants are so intelligent and so loving.
Great video ! My grandmother donated tens of thousands of dollars to various organizations helping elephants as well as zoos especially the one in Seattle !
What a fabulous experience! I'm so glad that you were able to enjoy this trip with your father. The ornate beauty of the temples and palaces was breathtaking. The varied landscapes were gorgeous. The food looked wonderful. The elephant sanctuary would have been my favourite stop too. I'm pleased to hear that you found a humanely run establishment. The only thing I would have had a problem with is the squat toilets. How on earth do older or disabled people manage? I am both, and haven't been able to squat (and then get back up again) in years😅. Thanks so much for sharing your travels with us. Your video was beautifully narrated. I viewed it twice, and learned a lot. I look forward to your future adventures.
I love !! Thailand i miss it me and my wife pretty much fell completely in love there on our first trip together .. we've been to around 20 countries together now
Wow, this was a totally different travel video for you. Glad you were able to visit Thailand and enjoyed the trip with many interesting things to explore.
Sarah...I really enjoyed this video as it was awesome and loved seeing you enjoy Thailand. After many years, I will be returning to Thailand in June for my 15th trip there. Thank you for sharing your trip there and look forward to your next adventure!!! Cheers!
So amazing must have been a trip of a lifetime. I would say the elephants were my favorite too. Thankyou for sharing your trip. Can't wait for next week. Bye for now
As usual you crack me up all awesome stuff but you always manage to have a line in your videos that kills me. Andddddddd the Toilets!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahaha......Just unexpected.
Absolutely great video. I totally agree about the elephant sanctuary’s . I went to one in Phuket that you could only watch and feed them fruit. It was perfect
While active duty Army I was station in Bangkok for two years. What a great place to live. I was a single parent. My kids and I had so many great adventures while there. It's an amazing country.
I went to Portugal a couple of years ago. It was the best trip I've been on so far. It's only a 6 hour direct flight from Boston airport to lisbon Portugal.
My wife is Thai so I have been to Thailand several times. At the Golden Triangle I did not see half of what you saw. For me standing under a Golden Triangle arch gazing at the upper part of the Mekong had a special meaning. About 45 years before my visit, I had received an “invitation” for a possible all-expense paid trip to the Mekong Delta area. It might have been a one-way trip. Fortunately for me the “invitation” was rescinded. You didn’t mention the incredible humidity of Thailand.
Lucky trip. Back in 1968 I was stationed with Air Force in West Pakistan and a buddy and I flew to Thailand for a few days. Love those boat rides on the river. We flew up to Chiang Mai and loved the elephant sanctuary. Also rented motorcycles and rode way back into the jungle nearly to the Burma border. Magical back there in the jungle. And food was really cheap back then. Got a lobster dinner in Bangkok for the equivalent of 50 cents. Those temples and Buddhas were really something to visit too!
One of these days, you'll come to Australia. Spend at least 6 months here because we're a big continent. You cold do van/car life here too!! Plenty of people do :)
We were lucky enough to only have 3 people to 3 elephants...was such an amazing experience, wish i could show you a pic of us in the river with them. No riding allowed! We could touch them.
Dang I don't have time to finish this one right now but you have been to some of my bucket list places so glad your taking us along thanks again keep them coming and stay safe from Missouri
What a wonderful trip, so glad you were able to visit...was definitely on our bucket list and we loved every minute. Did you go with gate 1? Alot of the same territory, but ours was 18 days.
Fantastic video Sarah. You should be a travel guide as well. I LOVE THAILAND 🇹🇭. Been 3 times as only 9hr flight ✈️ from Australia 🇦🇺. I wish they had NEVER CHARGED THE COUNTRY NAME FROM SIAM THOUGH. 😢

Good for you to promote ethical elephant sanctuaries!! Could you tell us which one you visited? Was it the Elephant Nature Park run by Lek up in Chiang Mai? I want to volunteer there for a day or two. Feeding watermelon to the ellies would make my day, year, life…so cool. Temples were gorgeous too - I can’t wait.
