I am 47 years I am using yamaha R15 version 3 bs4 only for touring if the highway is very good I have covered 100+ kms in a hour with a cruising speed of 120+ getting a great mileage of 50 plus in a single day I have covered 800 kms bro 👍

@@saurabhmuneshwar comfort on express way and national highways continuously non stop I have crossed 250+ KMS in a stretch with in 3 hrs my back is very strong solid I do yoga and also strength training 💪😎👍

The driving posture sliding onnto the handle bars.. well might be stressful on long journey but slightly changing the posture will help... You can try your best to get very close to the tank and it will help to maintain a better straight posture n also getting your legs close to the tank will help

How does the V4 stand against the BS6 MT-15? Because against the V3, for few thousand bucks R15 became the obvious choice until and unless one exclusively wants a naked. But with higher price difference, what in your opinion makes a more value for money motorcycle?

Very clear explanation i was looking for this review of touring in v4. Kindly tell me bro i have exactly opposite 2 opinions iam planning to buy a new bike. And my options are v4 and classic. Because iam buying for mostly long rides. But recently i like v4 very much. My weight is 80 kg will be comfortable for to ride v4 or classic?
Classic and v4 are 2 very different bikes. If your buying something for long rides and your serious about it, you will not even consider v4. Good options are Meteor, sf250, mojo, dominar etc. Of course you can tour with anything but v4 is a bit extreme

@@venukrithish007 iam not goimg for long rides always i will also ride in city i was fixed to classic bro. But the spec, speed, looks especially of r15 v4 kind of pulls me. Thats why i asked suggestion. If i can even tour in v4 i could consider buying that right?
@@larsonrichard5022 Sure mate. Without a pillion definitely but I'd highly suggest you to ride atleast 100km stretch in a v3 or even the v2 to get an idea of the seating posture
Recently did 250kms ride from my home(Mumbai) to my hometown in Gujrat and felt no issues other than minor hand pain. If you can get used to the sitting posture than it will be okay. I was riding at a continuous stretch of 100kms at 100-115 kmph speed and felt no issues whatsoever. Infact I was getting the mileage of around 50 kmpl. So yeah the engine is one hell of a gem can won't feel much stressful at high speeds maybe a minor vibrations but not much that you may notice it. I would still suggest you to take a test ride of the bikes your gonna go for so you get a clear picture of what you want for yourself.
How does it compare with gixxer sf 250 on touring?
Gixxer is any day comfortable for touring. But R15 V4 carries more speed.

I think gixxer 250 can go upto 150 on stretch and have very good low end power as compared to r15
@@iamstrell Really confused between r15 and sf 250. Does having a slipper clutch really matter, is that a deal breaker for sf ?
@@Bobby-lh2sx depends on your riding style. if you ride aggressively, having a slipper clutch is more important. If you tour more, it won't not be that important.
My height is 5'11 and I have no issue regarding sitting posture

Hi what rpm does it do 80kmph in 6th gear , are there any sort of vibrations at that speed ,can the bike do that speed comfortably without any stress ok engine ? I am asking this from touring perspective ...
Around 5k. At 80km/h on 6th gear is the sweet spot. There are little to no vibrations, and the speed is decent considering an Indian highway.
It'll be completely fine for the bike.

I m planning to buy this bike at Pune so is it possible for me to ride from Pune to kolkata by R15M, (Will give hault in journey) any expert please suggest.
Bro i am using a pulsar 220f i can tour upto 500 km in a day and i won't get any back pain can i go for the r15 v4 ? Will be comfortable ? I mostly travel solo and i wont carry much luggage what's your taught ?
No you won't be comfortable on R15 unless you make some modifications

@@nickname7357 if you're ok with maintenance and if you want a fun to ride bike go for duke 390 and new variant is coming so wait for few months. If you go for touring a lot and wants low maintenance cost with compramise in Fun go for dominar.
My personal choice would be duke 390 if i want touring i could modify the seat a little then I can do tour on that.and the upcoming duke 390 looks badass.
What's the highest sweet spot?
If V4 could do 100-120 with such mileage, there's no need for a higher capacity motorcycle right? I'm confused..
For everyday use there's no need.
But nothing can beat the power of a high cap engine revving and riding the wind.
But as, a owner of r15m . I definitely miss the initial bit.. After 6k RPM only u can njoy it..rest for top speed same story arise..140+ sure shot..but it differs from higher cc bikes
@@samynathanselvaraj1054 but do we really need that 140 kmph of speed and even if a bike is capable of doing speed of 150+ kmph, for how long will a person ride continuously for such high speed, it is always good to maintain a decent speed for our safety concerns, 120 kmph 130 kmph speed also gives thrilling experience and thts more than enough... R15 is a rev happy bike it revvs happily all day long...It is such a bike that it will bring a real satisfaction on its every ride
The question is where are you going to ride it...
For most street and highway riding you mostly would not need anything more
If you are passionate about track riding or do a lot of long distance riding (1000+ kms) then yeah a larger displacement bike with more top speed would be more appropriate
For some the pure pleasure of a larger cc bike is everything even if they don't ride it much what counts for them is what they experience when they ride it
And of course most important is budget in terms of purchase, maintenance etc no point buying something that ends up being a drain on your money time and energy so all these parameters should be seen

Yes it's really 50+ if you drive it in under 5-6k rpm in city conditions.

Yes we can cruise 130 Kmph..easily But Mileage will drastically decrease...
I did cruise at around 100-120kmph and it gave me mileage of around 50kmpl.
It's leads the future . The design & technology are like leading the market ... Soon other company will try to copy .
