Sheldon and Amy take a train ride to Napa Valley with Howard and Bernadette on Valentine's Day. Leonard and Penny take Raj's dog to the vet when she accidentally eats some chocolate.

The vet is Alex from Lost.

To the drinking question, in general, you'd be considered an alcoholic if you continue to drink despite it interfering with your life.
Chocolate has theobromine in it that dogs can't digest well, and so could be fatal.

Chocolate is bad for dogs because of the caffeine, which can cause the heart to beat too fast. They can get seizures from it as well.

Hi, Matt. And in answer to your question, yes and no : in a dozen future episodes Penny's wine drinking is addressed, but very casually, as it was here. Someone makes a quick joke about it, and then they move on to real the subject of that outing. Even when she literally passes out while playing a board game.
For background, you should know that BBT's creator, Chuck Lorre, has admitted to being a recovering alcoholic, but he seems to still enjoy drinking vicariously through his characters; and he's had six highly successful hit shows. In fact, his show Mom (which is excellent) is literally about five recovering alcoholic and addicts, and there often AA meetings in the show itself. They relapse, get arrested, it's a sad, funny mess.
But anyway, every Lorre show has at least one character who's almost never seen without that big, brimming goblet of red wine; they literally never set it down.
Actual dialogue from Mike & Molly :
Joyce (indignantly),"For your information, I've only had one glass today!"
Her daughter Molly,"That's not a glass, it's a goldfish bowl with a stem."
(That's exactly what it looks like.)
    Hope that helps.

I agree with you on wine tasting awful, but no. One glass a day does not a problem make. If drinking interferes with your life, then you have a problem.
And I feel like Amy sometimes forgets who she's with. She expects Sheldon to act like everyone else, and that just can't happen. She'll get there.

Chocolates contain a chemical called theobromine which is toxic to dogs ..
I had a dalmatian before but she died of old age (15 years old) during her young age, we gave her some chocolate 1 to 2 pcs...like toblerone, hershey's, M n M...

Good reaction. Labels/range who knows with some things the scale/value people determine.
Finding those passionate about an interest make sense not just yes yes girlfriend or other family wanting the attention or what they originally came for. Why wouldn't people connect. The back and forth makes sense. The slow progress is what it is but it works then rushing it for sure and the impacts are well placed in jokes or at various points of the show so it works.
Logic/facts won't likely fail us but emotions and reading them can be tricky right? If have IQ then EQ aka Emotional Intelligence.
Human foods and chemicals, the mixture and what we are used to in our bodies then other animal differences, our tolerances, our immune system I assume. Like raw/cooked food. Or other reactions to certain foods/spices/peanuts, etc. just a species tolerance difference I assume and animals maybe can't handle it.
For trains my guess is trains, computers and more it's them being robots as advanced, or the little details are very intriguing/the technique.
I myself got more interested in gaming, music (genres, game design , other stuff, not as into things like chess moves I'd just okay not care about what moves are a certain formation) and other entertainment stuff so to me it's the knowledge, the minor details, behind the scenes.
I appreciate making music with an app and different artistic structure I think sound cool. It makes things more interesting the instrumentation. Not dull backing music and just singing that may be hot and miss for me. What drum pattern, what other instruments or electronic samples.
What gameplay, what combat, puzzles, etc. not just story, realism can be boring then fantasy and stretching the imagination and fun factor.
We have our things we are
knowledgeable about, whether sports, knitting, entertainment/certain shows and more or something else. We all are passionate, nerdy or intricate about things in our own way.
Yeah he gets there eventually. I think the romance is a bit ridiculous but it works jokes or being smart and then goes ah emotions/chemical connections humans take of touch/other factors.
Ah shock factor and people take emotionally seriously.
Ah the fake conversation and the shock factor barriers people react to yep. That episode was good but also says a lot of the more deep couple stuff but ignore the rest people said first that's more generic. They clearly listen but to major things.
