John Mayer in my opinion is the best lryicist of all time hes so talented he can jam out to some heavy blues or just make a simple acoustic chord song sound amazing....keep up the great work John cant wait for the new album
John Mayer is one of the only people today who is making classy music again. So I give him alot of credit for that. Also, to those people saying that a song with two chords is too simple, it's not about complexity, it's about making a song thats dynamic, melodic, meaningful and memorable.
In my opinion, this song is great. The strumming/music has that perfect fast paced feeling of a break up happening before your eyes and you can't slow down enough to do anything anything about it. I can't wait for record #4.

Wow, this is a very very intimite song.. You can feel his breakup-sadness. John Mayer is master in putting his feelings into his music, i love that about him.. When i listen to his music i exactly feel how he felt writing it, he's a master.. Waiting for Battle Studies!!!
John was great as always. I can imagine what the album might sound like just based on this song and " half of my heart" I love john but im just worried that his album would have a "post break up" feel to it. But he never disappoints. Battle Studies will kick ass. Thanks for the post.
