Regarding demo videos in the menus of home ports... yeah, surely that's an arcade thing. Because for a long time, home consoles were just there to buy the luxury of having arcade games in your own house and so people wanted them as close as possible to the real thing. Same reason why lives and credits systems with a full-on Game Over set-back were still a thing in console games for so long, really. Especially those "Continue" screens with a timer? It's all just leftovers from arcade style game design. Later Mario games like Mario 64 had shit like the stretchable 3D face to showcase new technological leaps, I think. But I guess nowadays demo videos of gameplay in console games are more just for the general presentation or to get some tutorial stuff out of the way early. Though I don't think they happen much anymore. I think they made way to proper cinematics and stuff.
All killer points, Matt!! Makes sense that people would want to emulate the arcade experience at home as closely as possible! Little did they know their retinas would be blessed decades later by cinematic masterpieces like the Kingdom Hearts and Sonic Heroes cinematic intros 😂
Ayy, one of my absolute favorite games!! Took countless hours to actually finally beat it. Hard to believe this basically the easiest one in the series lmao. Thanks for the gnome lessons! :^)
The easiest of the series?! 😳 That's insane!! And of course! If you'd like to enroll in our 5 week gnome lesson program, it's only $399.95 per person! Makes for a great holiday gift!
Excuse me, I was wondering if anyone could tell me when the big game is? TIA.
Oh, sure! One second...*checks 2002 Blackberry* OH MY GOD, THE BIG GAME IS TOMORROW!!!
@@wearebackslashThank you.
