The first season was the best season. It was so simple and magical without those demons from the sequel of the series. I don't say I hate the demon thing but the first season was something else. Unexplainable.
The newer seasons aren’t great, my main complaint is the animation (not surprising) and the complexity of the story. The story could’ve remained simple and easy to write but with all these side stories and weird direction, it’s just too much. Diana’s memory loss story is pointless to me, Zeldris’s girlfriend/wife reveal is way too late in the story for me to care, and Literally anything involving the Angels. All these stories are either needless, or he’ll even interesting. The only side plot I care about is Meliodas’s and Elizabeth’s curse. And that’s a core plot point
I prefer the later seasons, everyone had a motivation, before that Meliodas' insistence on helping Elizabeth felt forced, and there were no stakes, the Sins were more powerful than everyone so any sense of emergency felt fake. And the dialogue got much better after s1 imo. And of course, there's Escanor.

I got into Seven Deadly Sins thanks to my girlfriend, who devours everything anime related on Netflix/Hulu/DisneyPlus. After the main show was done, I decided to watch from the beginning. It was a little slow at first but it picks up pretty quickly and what really cemented this show into one of my new favorite anime shows is all thanks to this song.
