The best thing is: 2 Bands were active the whole time until now, Dismember til 2011 (now they look older...), Pestilence are back after a break, and Death...well, I think we agree that they would still be around if Chuck was alive...
Roman Muster Yeah, definitely. It's still awesome that all these classic bands were on the same bill. And as for Chuck, the man was a genius. Symbolic is the best Death album in my opinion and Without Judgment or Zero Tolerance is my favorite track. RIP, Chuck Schuldiner.
3:42 Shane talking about recently departed drummer Mick Harris. I recently found a few interviews w Mick in Spring 91 Napalm tour & you could tell there he looked fried & disinterested in talking about the band. Shame cause to this day I still think Mick was one of THE sickest, fastest drummers in the extreme metal genre.
Rusty Kuntz After leaving Napalm Death, Mick worked on an album with John Zorn, Painkiller - Buried Secrets and i think he was briefly involved in Defecation along with Mitch Harris who’s also ex- Napalm Death.
He also started his own main project, Scorn. The first Scorn album was basically the Scum Side-A lineup, with Nik Bullen as a member and Justin Broadrick as a session member. I think they played some shows as that lineup too, that first LP has a re-recording of the Scum title track. Napalm definitely wasn't the same after Mick left. I'm pretty sure he wrote FETO mostly on his own, and he wrote like half of the music to Harmony Corruption too. Definitely a major contributor and a killer drummer
Oh, 1991. What a great year. Got to hear the Napalm Death back catalog, getting into Carcass via the "Peel Sessions" cassette and found a copy of Terrorizer's "World Downfall" for a buck in the "used" cassette section at one of the local record shops. Fuck yeah.
Butchered At Birth is my favorite Corpse album. Chuck never put out a weak album. Napalm has always been solid, Harmony has some choice riffs. This was definitely a golden age for death metal for me...
I caught death San Fran Omni venue spiritual healing tour James hetfield at the bar hanging out one of my fav shows of all time real metal/hardcore/punk scene
I think you're right. I saw them at the begining of this year. Their appearance has changed a little bit of course...But those songs...they surely stand the test of time.
Ah, that would be great...Sadly Jesse is gone and Oscar won't work with Pete again...So we continue to feast on "World downfall" (over 30 years, can you believe it?)
here's a quick summary: - Everybody thinks going on tour is just fun and of course it is true. But then also stuff like this happens: our car breaks down, Napalm Deaths manager throws up and so on - These days there are a lot of Death Metal bands, so you need to differ. I think we were always original, but the next album will be even more experimental, there'll be a lot of jazz influences. It'll be still heavy though - Will it be a concept album? Well, yes and no... maybe the lyrics, they deal with the same subject (religion), but every song will be very different - It'll be hard to find a replacement for our bass player. He'll still stay with us for sessions though
I thought this was going to be 4 hours of concert footage not 9 minutes 41 seconds of conversation with dudes in bands, 1 of which didn't speak English. Free why complain everyone says? Unless you're camping out in a Hospital parking lot, the internet isn't free
All Metal bands, but Napalm Death is more Punk. I can't understand why so many Death Metal fans like Napalm Death. Some people called Carcass Grindcore, but that was mainly due to the rough production, the music was Slam Brutal Death Metal. Napalm Death only recorded 2 Metal Albums , out of 25 ? Their debut was absolutely nothing but Hardcore Punk. Barney was a Death Metal Vocalist so when he joined he turned them into a Death Metal band, but only his first 2 Albums were Even close to being Death Metal, but for some reason Death Metal fans act like Napalm Death is the greatest thing since sliced bread
Sean Reinert has the same voice as Chuck, just a little deeper.
It’s almost like California but instead it’s Florida lol.
Ahahahahha spot on
Cannibal corpse was like a L' Oreal commercial back then ha
Awesome. 5 of the best classic bands in the history of death metal. Everlasting hails to the classic old school shit. Totally owns.

Roman Muster Death was already done. It would've been Control Denied only.
@@spontandenker Death was more of a Chuck Schuldiner project than a actual band since he didn't have a fixed line-up, anyways.
Evil Chuck = Death.
Napalm Death is a woke-crap-band. They should be excluded from every festival.
RIP Chuck and Sean.. 😭
I was 91 at this Festival in Hamburg-Germany and it was the best Concert in my Life!
"Never fucking wimping man" - Alex Webster
Epic footage! Shane is a good bloke. RIP Chuck
Nearly 30 years and 14 albums later, Alex stuck to his guns. What a guy, man.

It scares me how Alex From cannibal corpse hasn't changed at all, same fucking voice and face! He like doesn't age lol
+ThatMetalGuy 1986 He kind of had a mean face during his younger years.
he's got a beard now. looks older, just saw em yesterday in Houston \,,/
Jonathan Portillo i thought he looked kind of dumb with his beard tbh
saw this Tour in December 1991 at Volkshaus Zürich....killer times baby!!!!!
Ha, da war ich auch. Warst Du der mit dem schwarzen T-Shirt? :)
Roman Muster cool, ich hatte, soweit ich mich erinnern kann, ein schwarzes Death - Leprosy shirt an:-)
This is gold. This has taken me back to some magical times.
Yes, magical days. And Alex Webster was right (almost 30 years ago). CC never sold out. Still pure Death Metal.
Oh, 1991. What a great year. Got to hear the Napalm Death back catalog, getting into Carcass via the "Peel Sessions" cassette and found a copy of Terrorizer's "World Downfall" for a buck in the "used" cassette section at one of the local record shops. Fuck yeah.

@@spontandenker I just want to know when David and Richard were born.Because they still looked so young.
@@pedestrian6862 I guess they were about my age then, I was 18. I wish I could have been a godfather of Swedish Death Metal at that age ...
@@spontandenker I wish I be born in late 60's and enjoy this European Metal.
Germany really was Death Country in the 90s.
A Helmet-esque project by Shane. Nice.
Did that side project ever happen?
@@zoomusicboy138 Perhaps it's Blood From the Soul.
Schuldiner with Blondie t-shirt yeeeeeeeeaaaaah!
What song did Cannibal Corpse play?
Cannibal Corpse - Gutted
Gutted
If only there was another Terrorizer ep from this era....
