I grew up deep in the woods in Canada and had no idea about Psi Com until I randomly ordered the cassette after seeing it offered by Projekt in the early 90s. It ended up providing a rich soundtrack to my cherished youth spent amongst scenic landscapes, mysteries of the occult, and outbursts of homemade hippie punk culture. I played these songs with my friends; we were you, you were us. They stayed with me through everything, everywhere. Now, decades later, and after being in the music industry myself, this album is on my phone and I still crank it regularly. Special thanks to Aaron Sherer for his drumming style.
My english is so bad but I need write what I feel when I'm listening to this song I feel like I was in 90s when I bought a Psi Com cd....so I said wow....and I thought Perry should like Bauhaus like me....(laughs)....I lent that cd to a friend(??) and I never saw again....(tears). I'm so fan of Mr. Farrell....thanks for this post.
Thank you so much for sharing this Perry! Psi-Com is my favorite Goth Rock project of all time, you guys had an amazing tribal-obscure vibe and you guys made me pick up a bass, Greetings from Costa Rica ✌️!!
I am 43 years old and i just discovered these guys.I am listening to post punk bands almost 25 years but this is a very unique sound.I didn't know about Jane's Addiction performer.Only i had heard about them. But anything from American post punk is not so familiar as European bands.Excellent !
I could be wrong, but I am guessimg that the footage is from the desert shows and parts are likely included in the documentary Desolation Center. It's fucking awesome to see video of a band whose existence was all too brief.
always great perry has really inspired me as a sketch artist and a singer wish i could share my art with janes addiction and i am sure there are lots of other people that have been inspired by there uniqueness.
Wish I could have been there live but it's incredible that this rare footage exists. As someone who didn't get to exist until much later, I greatly appreciate you sharing it. It's like finding live footage of KUKL or Joy Division or something of that ilk.
@@PerryFarrellOfficial I absolutely love your output with psi com. Never thought I'd see footage. Years ago there was okay live audio of a track called Silouette that I think you played at this show. Is one of my all time favs. Sadly the video was deleted before I had a chance to download. Any chance you have a copy to share? Much love
@@PerryFarrellOfficial You did at the Bill Graham Festival of Lights. Stared me right in the eyes and smiled big. Totally caught me of guard lol. I loved watching you and your lady sing. Thanks Perry.

Perry's voice is perfection.
If so, then so is every voice.
This band was so sick. Always spin this one in my Deathrock sets!
Anyone else thinking we needed more of this? 👍🇬🇧✌
I remember a Thrasher promo where you got a copy of PSI COM with a subscription. Surreal. Maybe '93? I already had my copy held close.
93? No way. Earlier
More like a 86 87

southern death cult/death cult same vibe
Pura Vida..!
I listen to their music and do my art its like no other type music.
I'd be more inclined to call it new-wave/post-punk , but yeah, I can see the "goth" thing in there too.
How have I never seen this footage until now? Thank you Perry for all the wonders you brings us..
I think its footage from the gila monster jamboree @mojave 1985

F--cking amazing! I had to sell this record for food years ago. Great early stuff from someone i still look up to
Got the cassette in '93, very cool. Think Human Condition was my fave, along with City of 9 Gates.
Heeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! Have loved this song since 1996 when I found it

Woowww!! Amazing!!
this is awesome.. I've gotta dive deeper into your music now
I keep watching this, I wish there was any recordings of the other songs, like Xiola. I love this song and Perry’s unique sense of style.

Kimberly Austin and I Would for You sounded INCREDIBLE.
Excellent
Love this one, used to play this record in my DJ sets all the time. 🖤
So good
Saw you opening for The Cult Dreamtime Tour at the Music Machine. Great night!!
This is the perfect band to open up for the Cult in the mid-80's.
OMG i instantly recognized a so billyduffy's sound !!!!😅
Don't know they opened for Astbury & co....amazing!!!
Fabulous

Remarkable that there is any Psi Com footage at all.

@Theo Claus Oh My God!! Please post them dude!!!!
I have a Psi Com cd. Got to dig it out.
Finally!!!
It’s a shame only 2 singles are available on Spotify / Apple Music pretty good post punk never heard this stuff until recent.
This is fabulous!!
Wow! Very cool! Kind of a Killing Joke vibe.🙌🤙
listen to southern death cult/death cult
@@charliemagnedagdagan4078 yeah I’m familiar with that band. Ian Astbury before the Cult. Good band.👍

Hey Perry, when does the psi com reunion tour starts?😯
Desolation Center sent me here
Known this song for years and didn't realise! It's been in a movie or some TV show?
Is it possible to put Psi Com albums on Bandcamp? I would love to have it.
Well, shit howdy, this is so good!
A mashup of early Ministy and B-52’s
I love that analogy
I definitely hear the B52s
I would say more B-52s and Bauhaus
Bauhaus and general uk goth/post punk early 80s influences are very strong. More so than any American bands.
To me they sound a lot more like The Gun Club, with a bit of Southern Death Cult.
Kinda sounds like Bauhaus
Wow I had no idea.
One day love to meet Perry just to chat over 🍵 and share stories.
Perry I didnt know you were a Thelemite. Seems pretty obvious now i guess. 93 !
What strange timeline am I on now. . .
Reminds me of Sisters of Mercy.
A more modern band putting out awesome music similar to this is Thus Love.
I’ll play percussion for you Perry
Thank God Perry left this band. Not that they suck. But Jane's addiction would never have happened. And that would've been a tragedy
The smell of concrete returns to me today.
This is cool but I wish his lyrics actually matched his mouth in the video.
Would love a psi on reunion
Peter Murphy?
Bob Lazar on Guitar
no
b52ish
Dave, Perkins and Avery saved this guy.... Jesus.
Perry had his moment with first 3 JANE'S albums, the rest is forgetable. This sounds like a rip off of some early 80s British band
Both porno records as well especially the first one. Its diffrent but once it clicks it's one of the best albums ever.
