Every track on every Zeppelin album took you on an individual journey. This one is no exception. Cranked it as loud as I could in my car as a teenager.
Listening to this beautiful song for like the thousandth time A song which unfolds like the pages of a book, pleasantly surprising you with twists and turns with every new chapter, taking you on a journey that you wish never ended, finally filling your soul with a sweetness that you never knew existed….
It was in the 70’s , I remember walking up the stairs and hearing someone playing this song at full blast . This was the first time I heard this song and never forgot this moment.
It's like when I drink southern comfort. Straight back to my younger days. So many drunken nights, so much heavy music with Led Zep being the cream of the crop. I was called wild. I still have that attitude but watered down at the age of 63. Thank you Led Zep for getting into my soul.
"How Many More Times", ends with the same riffs as it begins with. Yet, after the opening riffs, etc., there are several different harmony & and melody riffs, etc., until the closing riffs... A lot of power, hypnotics, heavy metal, stoner (420) rock. There is more change-ups in this track, then "Stairway to heaven" I'm a senior rocker who served six years in the Santa Monica Unified school Districts Concert Orchestra, so I appreciate all manner of music, I critique it, and for a few years when I was a teen, I performed with the combined Concert Orchestra in front of ten thousand fans at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Listening to rock albums at home or performing Bach...they both are equally a Rush!
Yes, they go from "No Place to Go" (Howlin' Wolf 1954) to "Beck's Bolero" (Jeff Beck 1966) to "Kisses Sweeter than Wine" (Jimmie Rodgers 1957) to "Steal Away" which Plant had sung on (Alexis Korner 1968) to "the Hunter" (Albert King 1967).
It's 1979. In my high school architectural drafting class our assignment was to write out a page in architectural letters. I chose the lyrics to this song and wrote them in 'Led Zeppelin' font. Mr Pickler loved it and gave me an 'A'.
ValenTyne-fp4ij - half the country openly supports and promotes peds as acceptable and normal while crying about lyrics from mid last century that were not diabolical as are the actions of those today. Use your brain. Lyrics or present day suffering. Time to grow a spine. Protect kids. Leave art be.
This is one of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs to play on drums. After 30 years of honing my skills I can say with full confidence that I CAN PLAY EVERY SONG BY LED ZEPPELIN AND ITS ALL FROM MEMORY. I started learning when I was 16 and my friend took away my slave drum pedal so I couldn't cheat and use a double bass pedal to recreate Bonzos incredible pedal play. Now I can play those bass notes with left or right. It took everything and millions of hours of practice to be able to say I'm one of very few drummers that can mimic John Bonham flawlessly.
When I play along to this, I play different fills every single time, which is fun, wild and free. And I think that kind of is what Bonham was all about. Also because I don’t have the patience or discipline to ever be able to mimic him.
Je älter ich werde (1953), desto mehr bemerke ich, wie geil diese Band doch war. Bei manchen Songs wie diesem hier bekomme ich noch regelmäßig eine dicke Gänsehaut - unerreicht, diese Band! Gruß Roland.
Heavily influenced by the blues, the band became the most important act throughout the Seventies. Their versatility was magnificient. From the ashes of The Yardbirds a new star arose. It became my No.1 band and music.
Every time that drum kicks in at the beginning I get goosebumps. I've been listening to this record for 40 years now. And it gets me every. single. time.
For nearly any other band, this song would be the absolute peak of their creativity. For Led Zeppelin, it was Tuesday.

And after this groove, I always wonder how hard he went at 7:04.
Facts!! Dope ass drum pattern!!! Peace
Yup, he's The Hunter.
Sounds like a fucking train, I love it
@@BeHeno A real heaviest locomotive!!!
I don't care if your a Yardbirds fan or a Clapton,Page or Jeff Beck fan.
These English guys were incredible.
How any nation could produce the bands that they did is insane.
As an American,I am about 30% English and the rest Irish.
Reformation or not,I am proud of my ancestors.
Who gives a toss if you're Protestant or Catholic??!!
I'm Scotts Irish and English also, in addition to Italian. After all Italy was across the Mediteran and the Roman Empire was all over the map.
Look at that
I love the way Page was playing like such a heavy metal type solo in 69 but he gave it this bluesy psychedelia just awesome stuff
Very underrated Zeppelin song, one of my favourites.
this and whole lotta love are my favourites
Not underrated at all
@@FrancoMesmo its better than Stairway
Actually in the early days of Led Zeppelin this was their main song in concert. Not underrated at all. But your point is well taken. It’s not thought of as one of their top songs by many people. But those in the know, understand how important this song was to Led Zeppelin ascent to the top
When someone says "seminal Led Zeppelin" this is the song they're talking about.
One of the most underrated zep songs
Underrated? 🤔
Masterpiece
I agree!!
Wow, a lot to catch up to. Enjoy.
lol no
SIMPLY MIND BLOWING, ESPECIALLY ON THE HEADPHONES. ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVOURITE ZEPPELIN SONG. ALL THE ELEMENTS ARE THERE.

Ain’t NOBODY EVER GONNA DO IT BETTER THEN THESE 4 MEN DID IT GET IT BOYS GET IT LED ZEPPELIN BABY ♥️✌🏼
I grew up with this and 50 years later I believe this is the best white-boy blues song ever. Passion, regret, powerful chords, insane drumming. Really moving!
Since ive been loving you!
This and When the Levee Breaks
One of the greatest albums of all time!
This is one of the baddest tunes every made on the planet
Every time I hear this song I think God I love this song
Brilliant music. Led Zeppelin is my love lasting almost 40 years.

Possibly, my favorite Zep song of all time.
Probably my favorite song, every part is groovy. This studio version is great, the live versions are insane!
Led Zeppelin is totally great music force and I will listen to them the rest of my life!🦾💀 ✝️
Led zeppelin is my all time band
I think this might be the greatest rock n' roll song of all time.
The riff at 6:08 is just dirty, love it.
amen
It's the reason I wanted to listen to this song.
The drum riff at 5:47 bro 🔥
Fits in perfectly
100% pure rock sound and swagger.
Another Zeppelin masterpiece. Talk about light and shade!
And oh so hard and heavy
Light and shade is babe I'm gonna leave you lol
This is the first time I've heard this song and I must say I'm a fan

Enjoy today as we still can call it today
This song surprise me anytime I listen to it, and I've first heard it 30 years ago...
How many more times do I have to tell you that the mighty Led Zeppelin is the best band ever~!
Jon Bonhams drum beats and that guitar lick Page hits right before the Hunter lyrics,is just outstanding.Ive listened to it 100s of time and I cant get tired of it,or any of their Music.I never get bored with it,sometimes just follow one particular instrument through the whole song and pick up something new.The Best EVER.
Thinking back... steal away... steal away ..... a masterpiece i listen to for many many hours, thank you Led Zeppelin ❤😅
Every track on every Zeppelin album took you on an individual journey. This one is no exception. Cranked it as loud as I could in my car as a teenager.
Listening to this beautiful song for like the thousandth time
A song which unfolds like the pages of a book, pleasantly surprising you with twists and turns with every new chapter, taking you on a journey that you wish never ended, finally filling your soul with a sweetness that you never knew existed….
There is more change-ups in this track, then "Stairway to heaven"
I'm a senior rocker who served six years in the Santa Monica Unified school Districts Concert Orchestra, so I appreciate all manner of music, I critique it, and for a few years when I was a teen, I performed with the combined Concert Orchestra in front of ten thousand fans at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.
John Bonham 40 years ago today. Rip🥀
Wha... man, I am old! Bonzo!
Massive overwhelming drums on this classic
At the end of the song, perhaps the most savage drumming in Rock history. Thanks John Bonham. You are now thundering in each storm from heaven
I’m sorry to say but this is my favorite Led Zeppelin song
No apology needed. My personal favorite for decades.
Between this and Achilles for me
Don't be.
Mine too
not sorry to agree with you ...among stiff, stiff competition
It's 1979. In my high school architectural drafting class our assignment was to write out a page in architectural letters.
I chose the lyrics to this song and wrote them in 'Led Zeppelin' font.
Mr Pickler loved it and gave me an 'A'.
Great song! Makes me feel young again. Now I'm 70 heard first time when I was 15
Blew my 13-year-old ass away the first time I heard this.
You don't mind the ₽€D0 lyrics? 😂
ValenTyne-fp4ij - half the country openly supports and promotes peds as acceptable and normal while crying about lyrics from mid last century that were not diabolical as are the actions of those today.
Use your brain. Lyrics or present day suffering. Time to grow a spine. Protect kids. Leave art be.
the guitar bend at 2:10 gets me unreasonably pumped up
This is one of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs to play on drums.
They played off each other so brilliantly in that Danmark TH-cam 1969 live video
Your ass sucks buttermilk grasshopper!
One of my favorite Zep songs but I have many favorites of theirs. The greatest rock band ever!!!
Je älter ich werde (1953), desto mehr bemerke ich, wie geil diese Band doch war. Bei manchen Songs wie diesem hier bekomme ich noch regelmäßig eine dicke Gänsehaut - unerreicht, diese Band! Gruß Roland.
My favorite from this album. Like going on a journey. Whitewater rapids type of journey, but a journey nonetheless.
No se inglés pero también es mi favorito
Well said lol
6:47 "coz I've got you in the sight of my....guuooouuuuoe .uuuunnnah!"
damn, this song just beyond anything, so much badass vibes happened in there, one of the best song that ever created
Their best song.
Heavily influenced by the blues, the band became the most important act throughout the Seventies. Their versatility was magnificient. From the ashes of The Yardbirds a new star arose. It became my No.1 band and music.
Oh dear, this riff drives my soul over this world!
Rings , Pearls and all.
Ich habe auch alles gegeben 😢
JPJ is just having fun from 6:17 on. What a groove
This song closes my list of greatest rock and roll songs of all time.
Every time that drum kicks in at the beginning I get goosebumps. I've been listening to this record for 40 years now. And it gets me every. single. time.
6:56 that Range, One of the best vocal Robert Plant!
This is The Band of all times!
It still blows my mind critics and reviewers hated their debut album
That’s just how transformative and different it was at the time!
I wonder why I loved their 1 st album when it came out in the days of my youth?
Their sound was strange and too different.
I will listen to Zeppelin until I die.
