- POLAND vs JAPAN | Highlights | Men's VNL 2024. In their third match during the Volleyball Nations League in Fukuoka, the Polish national team led by coach Nikola Grbic defeated the Japanese in great style 3-0 (25:17, 25:15, 25:20) , winning their third victory in this tournament. The White and Reds ruled on the pitch, dominating in all elements, but the biggest difference was made by blocking, which brought us as many as 14 points - 6 of them were the work of Jakub Kochanowski, who was also the best scoring player in our squad.
Coach Nikola Grbic decided that the White and Reds started the match against the hosts with: Bartosz Kurek, Jakub Kochanowski, Tomasz Fornal, Marcin Janusz, Norbert Huber and libero Jakub Popiwczak. The Japanese, in turn, started without their biggest stars, the starting lineup of Philipp Blain's team was as follows: Kento Miyaura, Akihiro Yamauchi, Shoma Tomita, Masato Kai, Larry Ik, Akihiro Fukatsu and lib Tomohiro Ogawa.
In the packed West Japan General Exhibition Center in Fukuoka, the White and Reds quickly took a three-point lead (5-2). Tomasz Fornal and our captain Bartosz Kurek, who is very popular in Japan, did great in attack (6 points in the first set). The hosts, driven by the fans' support, did not give up and tried to make up for the loss (8-7), but Kamil Semeniuk's excellent counterattack (our second highest scoring player in the opening game - 5 points) and his block work with Jakub Kochanowski allowed our team to quickly regain the advantage ( 11-7). The Poles gradually increased the distance (15-9) - Bartosz Kurek scored a point directly from the serve, and Kochanowski scared the opponents with his block (3 points in this element), increasing the advantage to 16-9. With Tomita on serve, the Japanese reduced their losses with a score of 17-14, but this did not deter the White and Reds from their rhythm, who, despite their rivals' efforts, were confidently heading for victory in this set. A block by Łukasz Kaczmarek - who checked on the pitch to raise the block - resulted in a series of set points (24-17), another point in this element closed the game 25-17.
The second set began - just like the first - with the Poles leading 5-2. From the beginning of this game, the block was a great advantage of our team. The hosts again tried to reduce losses (7-6). Fighting for a point with the score at 8-6, both teams delivered one of the longest and most spectacular rallies of this year's VNL - full of great defenses, ultimately the point fell to the Japanese, who managed to block Bartosz Kurek's attack. After Tomasz Fornal's attack, our team's advantage was as much as 10 points (23-13), using the second set ball, Aleksander Śliwka ended the set 25-15.
The Poles started the third set almost with the starting lineup, only Aleksander Śliwka replaced Kamil Semeniuk. Our receiver's attack opened this game. Coach Nikola Grbic's players performed perfectly on the pitch, taking a 5-1 lead, and although the hosts tried to get back into the game again (5-4), our players quickly responded with their powerful weapon in this match - the block, jumping back to 10-5. Jakub Kochanowski added a point from service. In the middle of the game, Łukasz Kaczmarek, Bartosz Bednorz and Karol Kłos entered the field, replacing Kurek, Fornal and Kochanowski. The Japanese - despite impressive defense - were not able to scare our players even for a moment (17-10), who were like a running machine, heading for another victory (21-12). Mateusz Poręba also appeared on the pitch at the end of the set. With the third ball of the match, Aleksander Śliwka sealed the victory 25-20.
Jakub Kochanowski was the best scoring player of our national team, having 11 points (6 blocks, 5 attacks - 63% effectiveness). Bartosz Kurek scored 10 points (8 point attacks, 1 ace, 1 block), and Kamil Semeniuk 9 (1 block, 8 attacks - 63% effectiveness and 75% perfect reception). On the Japanese side, Kento Miyaura scored 12 points.
Poland: Kurek, Kochanowski, Semeniuk, Janusz, Fornal, Huber and libero Popiwczak and Kaczmarek, Kłos, Bednorz, Śliwka, Poręba, Firlej
Japan: Fukatsu, Miyaura, Yamauchi, Tomita, Kai, Larry and libero Ogawa and Nishida, Otsuka, Oya, Yamamoto

🏐Even the second team had fun getting points from Poland 👍✨️🇯🇵🇯🇵👏👏👏 fc:THA🇹🇭🇹🇭
why did they play with the second team? new here but very much interested
Poland is really strong for asian teams
They have a different play and they are really tall and buffed.
Unlike other CEV team like Slovenia, italia, Germany etc. they can battle head to head
They are so new. Hope they will become another golden generation of Japan
Think it's pretty unlikely besides maybe Larry and #5
@@greenyisaliveDisagree. They are still developing their connection, and what it’s like to play on a professional international stage. Once’s we’ve seen them play every match for 2 seasons, then I think you can make that judgement. But randomly thrown in every once in awhile, is not a reasonable basis to determine their future.
@@raingerdiesalot if that's what you think that's ok
@@raingerdiesalotim with you. They’re doing good here. We all know they need polishing but they’re good
Great game. This is a great learning experience for Japan's second team.
I only recently started following Volleyball (the VNL specifically, both men's and women's Volleyball), and the power houses vary depending on whether you look at the men's teams or the women's teams, but from what I have gathered on the world stage the strongest MEN'S Volleyball teams are Brazil, Italy, and Poland? I've seen a lot of praise for Japan and Iran as well (mostly for individual players), but I haven't watched enough games to tell whether they are included in the Top3 or not. Japan has been steadily climbing up the world ladder in the last couple of years with Nishida, Ishikawa, and Ran, so to some viewers they are considered one of the best teams (and I agree). However, when you think of powerhouses that are always at the top, those that come to mind are usually Brazil, Italy, and Poland.
Anyways, the Polish men's Volleyball team is strong. That's what I wanted to emphasize. In this match Japan took the opportunity to run their second team, without the usual starters, so they can gather experience against one of the strongest teams in the world. That's how I take it. I think even if Japan played it's first team, this game would have been close. As much of a fan I am of Japanese Volleyball, I just can't deny Poland being a strong team.
Congrats to Poland for the win. That was a strong performance.
Poland just seems so Powerful, all their hitters have canons
Wonderful game of both sides.
I love team Japan but Poland is a really strong team as well. Great Match
Este equipo se defendió muy bien ante este adversario tan fuerte!!! Felicitaciones.. así van comiendo experiencia… lo

Congratulations to Poland.
That run in set 2 was glorious
I like volleyball very much.
Poland is just so powerful - Korek is a great player.
The 3 GOAT missing Ran Ishikawa Nishida
Nishida was present
Know the meaning of GOAT and used it in the right time
@@biakzamtea320 i did🤡
What happened?
They're just playing with a second team here. I wanna believe it's to get the new players more experience on the international courts and build synergy. @@swagalisis8891
Congrats to the Poland team ❤🎉
Whether the main team or the second tier team, Poland is Poland, the king of world volleyball
Amazing Poland 💪🏻🏐👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Браво на Полша! 🤗⚪🔴PL stronk
I hate how much they’re not committing to blocking some of japans players keep putting their hands down giving Poland an easy hit
Estoy en shock, como que Japón perdió jsjsjs pero ufff que partidazo
Go Poland 🇵🇱 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Polandia both men n women are very god
4:09 LOL
Larry's pretty good bro
why isnt nishida playing as much?
Falta o Japão vencer a Polônia, sempre uma pedra no caminho
Larry my goat
ทำไมพอเจอทีมแข็งอย่างโปแลนด์ เหมือนยุ่นใช้ตัวสำรองลง สามโบ๋เลย แต่ก็เชียร์ตลอดนะ
JAPAN🇯🇵🗾
Tough secondliners of Japan 🎉🎉🎉
Nishida kemana?
Win or lost JAPAN d best
I love Japan's vball team... but I wonder if it's not legal or what to have sekita, Ran, the captain ishikawa and nishida on court together? I don't know if Poland is considered strong but why did Japan's put their B team there??
Poland is very strong they did beat japan main team last year and won league
Poland fr dominated the whole game
They did good playing against Japan's B team 👏 it gives them practice to learn. As much as Japan is most loved I am worried about the B team not picking it up as much as the others (Sekita, Ran and ishikawa) clearly if they lost to Poland 🤦♀️

Im the second Comment

Some comments registered by few'"Japal is new teamLol!". Why sending new team against Poland, the Power House of Volleyball. Things r very simple for Poland at the moment. Congrat to Poland for entertaining the World 🌎
Actually it's not that easy without prime Leon.
Japan’s second team?
Yeah. Second team.
@@nguyenkhacdieu is there a reason why not the first team?
@@acjolfy9008 in my opinion, japan doesn't want to lose in front of the Japanese crowd when their first team is on the ground, so they sent the second team to avoid that situation.
@@acjolfy9008 They want to raise the level of young talent
@@acjolfy9008probably to let the second team exp. playing with poland. and i heard game scheduling this year is atrocious, so they maybe let the starters rest.
Lost at their home court sucks
Poland is a really strong team and only team who can beat them should excel in every aspect, otherwise no chance for Japan.
Well this is Japan’s B team aka newer players lmao.
Без Юки не тот уровень,,,,, где Юджи??????
Indonesia kapan maen vs polandia😂😂
Flexing after hits while your team is getting blown out?? A dum dum has been exposed.
?
Where’s Wilfredo Leon?
rest.both teams reserved their ace players.
Poland too op
If Japan continues like this. Then the volleyball ranking will drop significantly, even below 20
You are dull. That is second team
I can say that you didn't understand what you were writing abt
Hanya pelapis😂😂😂😂
The Japanese team is nothing when facing Poland😅
