    👏👏👏🏆🏆🏆Congrats! Such a great episode. Suspense, humor, a great ending, what more could you ask for..... "The greatest team ever assembled" then hits you with the same budget 😂😂😂 Fisher never fails to deliver.
    While I'm thinking about it, would love to hear your thoughts on what the devs could do to make OOTP 26 better, maybe a standalone episode with your thorough review of 25. What you like, don't like, and what you would like to see changed, etc...

      Thank you. I'll have to give that some thought. I obviously like the game a lot or I would not play it so much! I think enhancing the business side of the game engine - things like fan interest, attendance, deeper financial statements, the opportunity to try to negotiate local TV/radio contracts, etc. would be interesting to me, but I think my almost complete focus on the GM side of things differs from many who play the game!

      My biggest wish is an improved trade and free agency AI. Please? 😂

      @@ExpedientFalcon Those would be nice. Definitely feels like the AI around those kinds of things hasn't really changed. I'd even like a simple thing like the 95%+$1 to sign an arbitration eligible player be a little variable from player to player.

    Damn, that Tampa series was crazy! Bullpen fell apart those first couple series but recovered when we needed it most. What a season, I think the best we’ve ever had. Fan Loyalty still hasn’t budged, huh. Congrats on the dynasty Mr. OSS!

    • @oldschoolsports
      @oldschoolsports  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thank you! Definitely a bit depressing that Fan Loyalty is still garbage after eight playoff appearances in ten years, including three championships... not really sure how much better I can do as the A's!

    Scriptwriters really did a great job this playoffs. What is a champion without struggles and the world series between 2 most recent world series winners. San Diego looking at the run scoring reminded me of 2029 A's, but they were not able to match them on the field.

    • @oldschoolsports
      @oldschoolsports  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Ha, it definitely all worked out. I'd love to have the perfect 11-0 run through the playoffs someday, but not going to complain about any script that has us winning it all when the last out is finally recorded!

    A bit scary there with the Rays, but who wants a boring series? 😅
    I was really impressed with Danny Phelps, darn rookie tried to steal some thunder from the vets. I like the look of Luis Robles in the IAFA first glance, he’s well-rounded.
    Honestly, it feels like a great time to shed our older guys like Ferris, etc. and embrace the youth movement again. We have such a logjam with prospects it seems more like a mandate in order to reload and bring up the next group. Well done man- while there have been a small number of decisions I may not have liked, none were debilitating and that is a GM’s prerogative. Congratulations! 🎉 😎

    WHOA!! Amazing achievement OSS.. top notch job 👏 🙌. Just that worrying game 4-6 of the Tampa series that had us all hiding behind our sofa's but once over that it was plain sailing. Everyone had something to contribute and Ortega seemed to find some extra power in his bat when needed to get us to the big one and then Uresti took over as the main man. Amazing game from Torbio to see us over the line and prevent it going to a game 6. What a playoffs for Weiss 🥇. Didn't get that 4th victory but his ERA at just a touch over 1.0 was mightily impressive. I could go on and mention pretty much everyone but I'll leave it there.
    So the game sees the A's as a dynasty but ol' Fisher still wants more.. can't believe with that bumper bonus income that he hasn't given a little boost to the budget 😡 Maybe he'll reconsider during the close season 😂.
    Rivera, Cervantes or Robles look the only ones I would be looking at of those IAFA options but I'll look forward to a full look at them all later on.

      Thank you! I'm looking forward to finding out more about all the IAFA prospects too. But we have a lot of work to do before we'll need to think about those decisions!

    that ALCS had me panicking, but what a run overall. 78 y/o John Fisher desperately needs to retire, though.

    Another WS win! The golden age is truly coming. Nearly get revenged by the Tampa Ray, namely the A's revenger with some ex-A's player lol

    That Rays series almost turned out as the debacle in the Arizona desert. That was ugly. I could understand the guy in the crowd having a bag over his head. While that offense was supposed to look better the defense have gone missing.
    Spoiler alert:
    You really sounded a bit nervous in that Ray series. The bad memories of the Red Sox series long ago came to your mind. Luckily all things settled and never worried about Padres. They might have won in your save earlier, but that must have been a fluke. Hard to even see Padres as WS winner 🤔
    So once more you get a ring. Congrat.
    Thinking on the turbulent time back home this might be a lot better MAGA movement, and for me more liked I dare say.
    Make Athletics Great Again 😂
    So now what ??? Relocate, keep on trucking, I say you have created a small dynasty. But Fisher got no vision.

    • @oldschoolsports
      @oldschoolsports  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Ha, yes, fortunately the fictional A's are doing a lot better than the real Jets.
      I really like the Make (the) Athletics Great Again as a theme, but it would have turned off half of our potential viewers, so probably better off you did not give me that suggestion months ago!
