great video, speccially reggie miller's killer three agaist the bulls..i remember that game..i will never forget it...i switched from jordan to reggie for favorite player..
Amen & ABSOLUTELY! Pure clutch, pure theatre, pure entertainment, pure jaw dropping, stunning disbelief by both his haters, his fans, the opponents, his teammates, and on and on.... at 3:52 thru 4:06. That is what REAL clutch is all about.
True that. I was in my 20's during that '90's era. One of the best. I still like the '80's NBA the best... but the Eastern Conference teams of the '90's battled like warriors, and provided lots of "top, clutch" plays. (Particularly, the Central Division. ) Nice post.
Reggie... that guy was freakin insane. Hiting clutch shots every single game for 20 years and was a one man army entire time.. until one time in year 2000.
I'm a big Reggie fan and a big Jordan fan, and I got to feel what it was like to be "on the other side" on that buzzer beater against the Bulls. He clearly pushes off Jordan, by the time he got the ball I knew the game was over, I just went screaming "he fouled, he fouled!!!!". Hehehe, that was back when the NBA was worth watching.
even tho reggie pushed mike, he didn't flop and he didn't cry to the refs he just kept playing. Classic ball from a classic era. Big ups to jordan and reggie.
@XxDrRobot13xX I agree. He not only made the first 3 pointer, but stole the ball and made another one. That's crazy. Reggie Miller is the most underrated player ever. He single handedly made the Pacers one of the best teams in the 90's.
I agree with the top ranking--MJ's shot was the most clutch. It was only the final step of a three-part play (the first two being his last layup and the steal from Malone), and it prevented the Bulls from playing a seventh game with Pippen crippled by a bad back. And though Reggie Miller was truly one of the greatest clutch players, none of his baskets secured him a championship. And Stockton's Western Conference finals three should've been up there.
These have been the most prolific clutch players and shot/made most clutch shots in NBA history: 1. Reggie Miller 2. Michael Jordan 3. Larry Bird 4. Jerry West 5. John Havlicek 6. Robert Horry
with 1 sec on the clock and the game on the line i want Reggie Miller to have the ball, you all can have the rest of the league. Miller is the greatest clutch shooter of all time, there is no debate.
Maybe in regular season. Not at playoff time. Also he doesn't have any dominant playoff series either which young people forget while he rode Shaq to 3 titles. Jordan vs Boston, Jordan vs Cavs, Jordan vs Pistons (x3), Jordan vs New York, vs Miami, Vs Portland , Vs Lakers , Vs Utah...you could go on forever. The man was an unstoppable force in the playoffs, I loved watching him play even when the Bulls sucked. He would singlehandedly keep his team in the game.
Only TWO? Hahahahaha... he made them every game, but these two were the most famous! You need to see some prime Reggie games more often, he did clutch shots EVERY game for 18-20 years!!
Wow, jordan broke Russell's ankles on that move. The stutter step is what knocked Russel down, not Jordan's hand. That surprise 3 point play by john Paxson sent me through my roof. Then the two guys whom you don't want to get angry were on the list, Reggie Miller and Larry Bird. Talk to them and they'll not only talk back, but own you.
reggie miller greatest clutch player ever..i love the pushoff on jordan, he only gets that in indianapolis just like MJ got 4 steps in Chicago..reggie miller greatest ever clutch player
First this was probably made a long time ago and second the Robert Horry ones are probably in the buzzer beater one. And third 2 and 3 were in the finals.
Ah, and one thing that I remember now: in which the game was 81 points jordan? The only one who could discuss this with the kobe was wilt chamberlain, who has 100 points, but already died. And at the time that the wilt was not played as hard as the marking is today, it was easier to make points. As I said, is that the media puts a player as astro. She says, "like this person." And the staff goes and does.
its pretty crazy cause now a days in most of these palys they would have called fouls for pushin off or just straight putting someone on the ground lol [miller]
Reggies 8 pts in final 8.9 seconds should be #1... thats just about the most ridicilous thing i have seen in my life. People started going home because they knew the Knicks was gona win, final seconds and game was really over, then suddenly this happen... totally crazy.
@Ruukk1 when i read your comment i think about how jordan pushed off russell and then celebrated the game winner, but when I think this I remember John stockton is the one without a championship and get even more sad :(
LOL I dunno man. Reggie gave him some comp. I mean he did push his man all the way down to the ground. Man I love Miller! Oh, and is there any debate about Paxson having the nicest looking stroke ever. It's picture perfect. That's what I'd want my kid's J to look like.
They missed some, not all have to be shots by the way: Jerry West from 60 ft. in 1970 Finals to beat the buzzer.......Gar Heard vs. Boston in 1976....Hakeem's block on Starks in GM6 in 1994, Elie vs. Phx in Game 7 1995. But I guess there's only room for 10,lol.
@tyuio187 #1 clutch shooter is larry bird.especially in washington,he shot the winning three, they didn't count it,in the next possession he hits a tying three, and in overtime he hits the winning shot with 2 seconds on the clock....simply the best....
Basically EVERY damn game... and yes im talking about Playoffs. But man you must be joking... the entire list would not fit in here, i would have to make a book, But here are some memorable ones i can fit in: Celtics 2004 Playoffs (3PT shot for the W) Nets 2002 Playoffs (halfcourt buzzer beater tied game.. then its OverTime, 1 seconds left he Ties the game again with a dunk 2nd OverTime) Sixers 2000 Playoffs (Game winning 3PT shot) Sixers 2000 Playoffs (3PT shot tied game 2 seconds left)
Millers deserves a ring.. If he woulda had a better team he woulda won those games by 10-20 points instead of having to hit gw's. He'd trade those gm's for a ring anyday
yeah but i think it was made in like 2000, sow it´s hard to show some think that have bin done yet, and ben wallace made a block on shaQ that deserved to be op the top 10 to, but he made it in 06-07
man if basketball was like it was back then it would be so fun i mean thats why NBA2k11 was big cause MJ and some other teams and NBA2k12 will be even better with Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson,Larry Bird,Dominiq Wilkins, Shawn Kemp, Spud Webb, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and many others what next bring back Bill Russel
great video, speccially reggie miller's killer three agaist the bulls..i remember that game..i will never forget it...i switched from jordan to reggie for favorite player..
"Unbelievable! Reggie hits the 3!" this tears me up every time.
I was so happy to see the 1998 game 6 finals shot by MJ at #1. That'll never get old. lol
Paxson has the most beautiful shot I've ever seen.
I LOVE THIS GAME ..
John Paxson's shot continues to haunt me to this day.
Reggie Miller is by far the best clutch shooter ever... he has done stuff like that EVERY night for 18 years.
Miller is absolutely the best clutch shooter
Miller Time!!! Damn I miss this guy :)
Hehehe, that was back when the NBA was worth watching.
wow... NO2 and NO3 is so beautiful
even tho reggie pushed mike, he didn't flop and he didn't cry to the refs he just kept playing. Classic ball from a classic era. Big ups to jordan and reggie.
Yeah that was a damn hard push!!!
randy brown walking off the court is too funny haha
this video shows that reggie is the greatest clutch shooter to ever play the game, with jordan as a close, close second!
It's in the buzzer-beater list
russell is using his hands just as much, and he earned "to get away with so much", that's how they whistle in the nba.
@XxDrRobot13xX I agree. He not only made the first 3 pointer, but stole the ball and made another one. That's crazy. Reggie Miller is the most underrated player ever. He single handedly made the Pacers one of the best teams in the 90's.
paxson what a stud
this came out in 99
its hard to tell on this wide screen version but on the full screen version (#1) magic travels big time
I agree with the top ranking--MJ's shot was the most clutch. look at dan majler when john paxson took that shot, he knew it was going in.
Looking for the other 90 plays
i know he did but the one against the knicks abd the bulls are the ones thats really stood out!
4 is my favorite
Jordan didn't push off on the last play, he did almost break some ankles though.
with 1 sec on the clock and the game on the line i want Reggie Miller to have the ball, you all can have the rest of the league. Miller is the greatest clutch shooter of all time, there is no debate.
awsome, but i thought a good amount were mixed up on what was better then others
Super Rex.
LOL! Miller on crack at 3:00
Reggie Miller pushes that guy on #7 but still a sick shot
Maybe in regular season. Not at playoff time. Also he doesn't have any dominant playoff series either which young people forget while he rode Shaq to 3 titles.

great
Ooops! Thanks you:)
i wish the NBA reverted to old officiating, shown in #7
Reggie Miller had the game sliders up lol
Miller got to the east championships probably 10 times. He clutch, just his teammates dont always come through for him.
Only TWO? Hahahahaha... he made them every game, but these two were the most famous! You need to see some prime Reggie games more often, he did clutch shots EVERY game for 18-20 years!!
idk who was a better 3 point clutch shooter. Mivchael Jordan, Larry Bird or Reggie Miller
#10 wuz kewl..
Agreed.
reggie miller greatest clutch player ever..i love the pushoff on jordan, he only gets that in indianapolis just like MJ got 4 steps in Chicago..reggie miller greatest ever clutch player
First this was probably made a long time ago and second the Robert Horry ones are probably in the buzzer beater one. And third 2 and 3 were in the finals.
Magic´s junior skyhook should be # 1, i mean a rookie point guard at C its just incredible
:37 he felt that there was no doubt in his mind he would make it... yet in the huddle he says "if i miss..."
Ah, and one thing that I remember now: in which the game was 81 points jordan? The only one who could discuss this with the kobe was wilt chamberlain, who has 100 points, but already died. they seemed to have separated buzzer beaters from clutch plays, that shot's on the other countdown.
The video was made before T-Mac's performance.
@scarlive305 true.. the tongue, the finger, and the jump when he win the fifth ring....
whats the song at the end wit mj
its pretty crazy cause now a days in most of these palys they would have called fouls for pushin off or just straight putting someone on the ground lol [miller]
There should be Tracy McGrady with his 4 3pointers 30sec remaining.
Reggies 8 pts in final 8.9 seconds should be #1... thats just about the most ridicilous thing i have seen in my life. People started going home because they knew the Knicks was gona win, final seconds and game was really over, then suddenly this happen... totally crazy.
my exact thoughts
#10 suoposed to be #1
What about LJ 4 point play vs Indiana?
Yeah, it was a push. Everyone usually just seems to ignore that. No doubt he would've made the shot without the push, but it definitely helped him.
Still won that Playoff game though, and the coach for the Pacers was Larry Bird lol.
I wouldn't want to be in Bryon Rusell's place during that time. He'll always be remembered, hehehe..
1. Jordans being a ballhog
2. Larry Bird scored a buzzerbeater after magics sky hook.
3. On that note, there is only one??????
Does anyone know the name of the song at the intro?
Reggie Number 1 hands down
this isnt even a bit, this is like 99.9%
on reggies 3 he pushed off =p still a great clutch
@Ruukk1 when i read your comment i think about how jordan pushed off russell and then celebrated the game winner, but when I think this I remember John stockton is the one without a championship and get even more sad :(
Only shot that determined a playoff final? Don't think so.
LOL I dunno man. Reggie gave him some comp. I mean he did push his man all the way down to the ground. Man I love Miller! Oh, and is there any debate about Paxson having the nicest looking stroke ever. It's picture perfect. That's what I'd want my kid's J to look like.
Garfield Herd shoulda been up there as #1
They missed some, not all have to be shots by the way:
Jerry West from 60 ft. in 1970 Finals to beat the buzzer.......Gar Heard vs. Boston in 1976....Hakeem's block on Starks in GM6 in 1994, Elie vs. Phx in Game 7 1995.
But I guess there's only room for 10,lol.
type "short guy dunks" in the youtube search box to see a 5ft 5in guy dunking a 10ft hoop
reggie miller is the most clutch player of all time!
@scarlive305 You're 100 percent correct!!
they only count the non-buzzer beating clutch shots
@tyuio187 #1 clutch shooter is larry bird.especially in washington,he shot the winning three, they didn't count it,in the next possession he hits a tying three, and in overtime he hits the winning shot with 2 seconds on the clock....simply the best....
Thanks for your comment :)
10 years later...do you still use this account?
How is "The Logo" not in the top 10 clutch plays? His nickname is Mr. Clutch!
#10 shoulda been much higher up
we all know who is mister clutch and that is reggie miller hands down!
Bill walton and luke walton are twins, nothin else to it
Sorry MJ but Millers 2 three pointers are more amazing than any other clutch play in history I have ever seen, Miller should have had #1
In 'Buzzer Beater + Ending'.
Basically EVERY damn game... and yes im talking about Playoffs. But man you must be joking... the entire list would not fit in here, i would have to make a book, But here are some memorable ones i can fit in:
Celtics 2004 Playoffs (3PT shot for the W)
Nets 2002 Playoffs (halfcourt buzzer beater tied game.. then its OverTime, 1 seconds left he Ties the game again with a dunk 2nd OverTime)
Sixers 2000 Playoffs (Game winning 3PT shot)
Sixers 2000 Playoffs (3PT shot tied game 2 seconds left)
im no suns fan but the chapman shot was sik
Millers deserves a ring.. If he woulda had a better team he woulda won those games by 10-20 points instead of having to hit gw's. He'd trade those gm's for a ring anyday
@mrko509 yea, i saw that and i saw the push at 4:00 too,
clutchhhhhhhhhhh
miller...among the all-time greats??
Ray Allen should be in that top 10
the truth is that ,in NBA, any1 can dunk...but it takes so much balls to shoot 3's...
Honestly, I really wouldn't consider Mj's shot on the jazz a push off.
update. fisher 0.4 clutch shot.
yeah but i think it was made in like 2000, sow it´s hard to show some think that have bin done yet, and ben wallace made a block on shaQ that deserved to be op the top 10 to, but he made it in 06-07
the 16 thumbs downed are the one who can't hit clutch shots
man if basketball was like it was back then it would be so fun i mean thats why NBA2k11 was big cause MJ and some other teams and NBA2k12 will be even better with Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson,Larry Bird,Dominiq Wilkins, Shawn Kemp, Spud Webb, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and many others what next bring back Bill Russel
