Man!! Just found you & subbed! 👍 That "stemmed Dalton" is Nice! & that long eared Super Smoker basal knotched, Missouri Stealth is Killer!! Congrats on these finds!! Hope the 2nd half of your year is even better!! Thanks for documenting & sharing. 👊
Thanks brother. I was joking about the stemmed dalton lol I'm calling it a unknown piece. As far as the stealth Almost the same as I said it is not in the books. I try to be as accurate as possible.sometimes it takes months to find the right data for a find. Most of the time you find nothing. How it is. At least on uncommon finds. Thanks for watching.
Cute collection, my frtiend.. sweet! Youst keep on rockin :) Big support from your dedicated followers..a metal detecting couple from southern Europe! happy hunting!
Hard work pays off ! You have done well! Congratulations 🎉 love your hook point it is a beautiful example! They are also in my neck of the woods ! Unfortunately, i have not found one yet. Happy hunting.
Thanks Norma. Don't find one. You will see what I have been thru. All that happened because of that piece. lol Artifact hunters Bain. Thanks for watching.
Thanks brother. The early men that used the points and tools little is actually known. 8to9 thousand years ago....Including some of the older stuff to 15 Thousand years ago. They were always on the move. They were being hunted.......Thanks for watching.
Appreciate you Brother, WOW, what a 6 month haul. Alot of hours, and miles on that table. Just keep doing what your doing. Haters going hate, can't stop em. Those of us that get after it regularly know. I bet there are some real hot smokers in your collection. Keep em coming my Friend 👍
Thanks brother. I have some awesome pieces brother. It IS crazy what you have to put up with. Why I don't like showing the really good stuff. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Sweet. It is really big the collection lol Look FOR SHINEY PIECES of chert or agate type rocks you will find them in your area indians were everywhere. I also look for worked places on the rocks. then you adapt to what I call where's waldo the hidden item game look for artifact shapes. I look in creeks ditches any exposed land where there is Erosion. Thanks for watching.
Love your hook point! And your attitude & perspective that you've gained over a lifetime of experience! I thoroughly enjoyed this vid, man. Ignore the "nay-sayers/doubters" and keep doin you! Thanks👍

Great video. I am a tool freak myself. Give me a nice thumb scraper or blade (knife) to look at. Point styles~they do define a general time period and culture though. Thanks for your effort, points me to get cracking. Appalachian Avocational Archaeology history professional I am, lol.
Enjoyed your findings I’ve been hunting for 39 years there all memories. Here in San Diego they mis name points to. Lot are not in the books. Just because they look similar does mean it’s that type
Thanks brother. A lot comes into play there actually I do know a bit about points in your area. lol. Some of the dating is wrong on a bunch of different point types. They tried dating some pieces in washes that don't work lol. take a Dickson for an example an Adina and a Hidden valley. All 3 points look the same. Ok now what makes the difference is where found.....That point in Tenn.or Indiana, Va...Is called a Dickson And A Adina SO actually both are the same there However you find that point in Missouri It is a Hidden valley and that point is close to 5000 years older... Because of Dating in the dig sites in those areas. There is the differences. Thanks for watching.
Thanks brother. I know that point type well also the lansolate version too. There is no rounded lobes on my point. or bulbous base. Good guess though. Right time period It's just one of those as soon as I seen it I thought rice But after looking it over It just don't have it. It May be a Harding real close there but too beveled like that?? lol Thanks for watching.
@zzzzzzzzzzaper rice lobed doesn't necessarily have to have a lobed or bulbous base, I've seen them with a variety of base types, such as lobed, bifurcate, bulbous, and straight. I still believe it's a Rice, but I can't claim to be an expert or anything of the sort.
@@jakematthewsmissouriarrowh3704 No problem brother. See here is the grey area Other people authenticating points that are not in the catagory accept them in that group then it becomes a standard a point that actually belongs in another point type. Proof of this is in the guides I see the same point represented in 3 diferent class types same point pict is same one. then you go to another source and the confusion gets worse...... There is not much of a standard. and to further mess things up the pros don't know a corner notch or if it is a side notch?? lol And most Important if they don't ask where it was found...... You can have the same point dimensions But the differences could and do mean a couple thousand years example of this is the Dickson point type or hidden valley or Adina. ALL the same? No. age differences there Changed the namesake in locations. In Missouri the hidden Valley is the oldest type of that group. That is why In Missouri it should be called A hidden valley. And why it is listed in GUIDES that way. Because it is not the same. Just a thousand years is a lot of time the whole world can change a lot in that many years. I try to be as accurate as possible. if a point don't meet criteria It's not that type. I go with what I am finding in that area time periods. there you get a general time of finds. There is where the differences come into play.
I can guarantee anybody that you're finding them and not staging them. I know you put in a lot of work digging and finding them. Because I've been with you . Nice fine so far this year
Location is almost 100% irrelevant when it comes to identification and that’s something people don’t seem to realize. We haven’t found enough points to know the true range of different point types. I have found obsidian points and Bolen bevels a thousand miles from where their supposed range is 😂
Yes and here is the deal only those found at that site were dated. Ones that are found 3 states away could be a thousand years older. With That said is why you have different names for the same point style. There is why location is important.
@@zzzzzzzzzzaper yeah but I don’t get to name my Bolen bevels something different just because I’m a thousand miles north of where they’re supposed to be found do I? I believe they would need to have some characteristic differentiating them from a Bolen bevel. A lost lake is a lost lake whether it’s found on an east coast beach or the Ohio river. I don’t believe they dated Clovis’s or anything else in every state? They merely dated them in a variety of states and it’s therefore common sense that they would be the same age in the other states.
Is there any way I can send you photos? I’m in north Texas and I found a lot of things I want a knowledgeable person to see. I have a piece I found that is very similar to the rounded one you showed that you said people give you shit on. I have some things I’ve never seen before elsewhere.

The beveled point you have looks to be a Rice Lobed (8,500-9000 years old). very nice line-up all together.
