Last time I was in Disney World was in Orlando, Florida during my last US challenge. I happened to be in Los Angeles for a convention so thought I would go and check out Disneyland.

How the hell did that employee not notice the difference between the enormous disney world castle, and the tiny, different shaped and colored disneyland castle?

Its protocol. I was waiting for castle show in Orlando , guy spills soda all over his food he just bought . Starts throwing a fit yelling at his wife about how he just ruined the food he spent 50 dollars on,waited an hr for etc etc. Disney security was literally on him in one minute of the start of his hooting and hollering . Calmest voices , "it's okay sir . Come with us and we ll take care of this , get you some new food " . It was like calming a toddler which was exactly how he was acting.

This is possible. My family had park hopper tickets and my sister left her ticket in my moms bag who was taking a nap. The security let us through with a picture on splash mountain. Disneyland has really nice employees and I’ve seen them be a lot more generous just don’t take advantage.

His accent helps him more then anything honestly. If he had a normal US or California accent they would of gave him a hard time. He can literally say he’s from England he forgot his ticket and they’d probably let him in. They don’t want bad publicity from tourist especially on social media.

The reasons why this worked, is simple.
1. He is extremely friendly & insanely great with words.
-You try doing that demanding & being rude, cast members put their guard up quick.
2. He has an accent.
-Deny it if you want, but that played a major part, when you have an accent, you’re automatically put in a category that you probably aren’t a local therefore it’s safe to assume you didn’t fly all the over here to lie and not buy one ticket.
3. He was by himself.
-Try doing that with a group of 5😂
4. He didn’t try doing it early.
-It was early afternoon to early evening, most people who try to give them excuses, are in the morning, not later on in the day.
5. Sneaking in past guardians. -Its actually that simple since there are no other checkpoints, as for space mountain, there is a 2nd checkpoint, but I assume he easily sweet talked his through that.
6. He blurred out the cast members who let him go past, why, because if he hadn’t, they would be in on it, but since he did, it’s safe to say he wanted to make sure that they don’t lose there jobs for doing this, very nice of him, although Disney doesn’t usually care or find out unless it’s through videos like and are forced to.
7. HE HAS THE GUTS TO TRY👏
8. Yes I’ll admit, it’s possibly fake. But people it’s honestly not that hard to get past a ride or 2, if you’re friendly and nice! I worked at toy story mania in California adventure and you best believe that if you were nice and friendly I had no problem letting you bypass the line we can absolutely do that not every person obviously but once in a while it’s not against the rules.

@@JavelinJedi Actually, I used to work as a Park Greeter Lead (they used to be called Ticket Takers when I first started) at the Disneyland Resort for years. There's procedures for these kinds of things. These Cast Members dont make these calls. They would needed to have paged a Lead or a Manager (who wear business attire), who then takes over the situation. Do you really think singing a song and showing a picture with the wrong castle would be enough? Then there's the hard edit/cut that doesn't even show the full interaction.

Bad Hombre yes please go on, leads do not wear business attire, the most they wear are an ear piece, the ones who wear business attire don’t even worry about those types of situations, but yes you’re right, usually a lead is required to let someone in, but it’s not entirely impossible, as a know it all, yes I see your obvious point, obviously it’s extremely difficult to pull it off but it can definitely happen if all the stars line up, I snuck in once just to see the fireworks, it’s was so easy, even easier? Sneaking past fast pass! That’s child play! Just because you don’t have the guts to try it doesn’t mean it can’t happen, when I worked as an attractions cast member, we never needed a lead to give someone front of the line access, it’s a little something called creating magic, but like I always tell people, there are 2 types of cast members, the crazy uptight ones who are deathly afraid to break any rules or are scared to lose their job because of simple things like letting someone get on a ride quicker, and their are the cast members who truly embody what Walt Disney envisioned which was to make everyone feel at home and happy to be there at the happiest place on earth, easy to see which cast member you were😅

He probably did have a ticket, and had them scan it and told them what to do with his act. That's the only reason why they allowed that to happen. This would never happen.
He demonstrated the one major advantage Disneyland has over Magic Kingdom. He walked from his hotel to Disneyland entrance, to Downtown Disney, Grand California Hotel, California Adventure Park, and then back to Disneyland. That wouldn’t be possible in Orlando and you would waste hours on Disney transportation trying to do so.
As a former cast member, I must say that you sir got VERY lucky slipping through ticket checks. That or you edited out the bits where your attempt failed and you actually had a ticket as back-up because I highly doubt cast members would risk losing their job showing that level of leniency whilst being recorded. I've seen the rare cases before where they let people back in from a photo as proof but they usually/always would ask to see the date the photo was taken for verification. If this was legit, you were the one in a million that actually pulled it off on a very lucky day which is shockingly impressive. It's practically impossible no matter how easy Simon made it seem and I do not condone anyone to attempt this no matter how pricey Disneyland is. I guarantee it won't work.

Being a person who grew up going to Disneyland every year, when I went to Disney world for the first time I was very disappointed. The rides are almost like a half ass version of what’s at Disneyland.

Some rides are better at different parks, sure. Pirates is the most famous example. Disneyland also has WAY MORE RIDES per mile than Disney World does, where they split up all the good rides across the different parks. I think DL has twice the rides of any DW park.

But yeah. Disneyland is the first Disney Park, not magic kingdom. Magic Kingdom is a park that makes up the DisneyWorld Parks that opened in 71. They are not the same.
When lost my ticket in Disneyland Paris, I spent about an hour to restore it.
I know right, In Florida my 14 day ticket ended a day early for no reason and they sent me to guest relations to get a new 1 day park hop comp ticket and it took around 2.5 hours to get it done with passport, my disney experience log in, etc
Disneyland Paris is very bad at service compared to Disney world and Disney land, I’ve been to all three

honestly i’m just jealous that the cast members were so chill about letting you in! when i went a few years ago, my mom and i made the mistake of leaving our passes on top of the fastpass dispenser for tower of terror and when we realized we’d left em behind when trying to get into disneyland, we had to go to the service desk and they made a huge deal out of it :///
it was actually really easy to sneak in before the pandemic. now it's extremely difficult ever since they reopened after 13 months of closing.
It's Disneyland park not Magic kingdom. And you dont need to sneak into a ride though fastpass just ask for single rider.

tgustafson85 have you been to Orlando recently? They are filled with college program millennials who aren't great. The food is terrible in the parks and the attractions are in pretty bad shape. It's an understatement
I was just in Orlando a month ago. Magic Kingdom was great, Animal Kingdom's new Pandora expansion was impressive and stunning. Hollywood Studios was lacking but that is because two big new expansions taking up former public areas have yet to open. EPCOT's Future World definitely needs some help, so I will give you that one. But EPCOT, even in its current state, still beats the pants off DCA.
Also, I had a delicious meal at the San Angel Inn (Mexico pavilion) and Liberty Tree Tavern (Magic Kingdom).
I never had any issues with cast members. A lot of the EPCOT staff, in particular, were millennials and provided excellent service.
Whats funny is that those restaurants you mentioned are really not good quality food. As a mexican restaurant san angel is insulting, Liberty tree is an old country buffet that you dont have to stand up and get your ham. DIsney springs however has the best food on property. My point is the in park food at disneyland puts disney world to shame with very very few exceptions.

Actually it makes a lot of sense. See They are supposed to stop you at that entrance by Saphora and ask for a room key but the guard said nothing. In fact, the only way to get into the hotel legitimately without one is to book a dining reservation their. They likely assumed he was a guest paying hundreds a night to stay at the hotel. So why risk pissing him off by making him go all the way back to his room to get his pass?

That’s funny Disney usually is very strict and tight about security especially people who are not suppose to be there who are basically trespassing since they don’t have a ticket or pass. Oh I don’t care you can just come in who don’t take security measures to stop people from coming into the parks illegally evidently are not doing their job
@@briancalifornia1 the reason I say it is because Disney employees get an allowance every month for free tickets, which by no means are you supposed to sell, you have to give them away or walk someone to the gate and just say "they are with me let them in" it's just that simple.

Neither employee actually looked because having a picture inside wouldn't matter. You could have taken that picture any day, they stamp your hand to verify you have been inside the park that day, and they won't let anyone enter without a ticket, he would have been send to the ticket booths. Don't be so gullible.

Since they moved to the photo system being tied to all tickets (as far as I know), I can’t imagine there’s any way someone would let you in this way unless they literally were asking to get fired.
They dont stamp anymore. They actually scan your ticket so the computer knows whether youve been in or out

I’ve been a Cast member at Disneyland and California Adventure for 16 years. This method of park entry can and will definitely work on occasion. With that being said, I still do not recommend planning a trip to either park without being fully prepared to pay for your entry tickets in full. Basically, If you don’t have the money for a ticket then don’t travel to the park expecting to gain entry for free because what you might get is an expensive trip to spend the day people watching in Downtown Disney. This method of entry depends on many factors but timing and luck will be the main ingredients to your success. It boils down to what Cast Member is entertaining that specific entry point and what Cast Member’s are overseeing/entertaining nearby. I can speak for myself when say that I would 100% allow entry under these circumstances. Let’s say 10% of guests on any given day gain entry for free, those guests will still need to eat, drink, and/or purchase merchandise at a very high profit for the park. I would much rather grant an undeserving guest free entry while still adding to the profit margin then possibly ruining a deserving guest’s experience by denying them entry when they’re telling the truth about their ticket situation. If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland or California Adventure in the near future, reply to this comment with the date you’ll be there along with your email. If you’ll be at the park on a day that I’m casting then I will send you an email with my name, what entry gate number I’ll be at and between what hours I will be there so I can let you gain entry for free. You can even show me a funny picture pretending you were already in the park that day 😂 It will be fun to see and meet the different walks of life a TH-cam comment can bring!

you have to have a ticket to even get a fast pass in the first place. and for Guardians and space mountain the return time is usually hours away.
Not all the time, I have an annual pass and about half the time the middle check point is turned off. Also since they now do the MaxPass and you can create a FastPass party connecting everyone’s tickets you just need one phone that holds all the passes, so if scans my phone 4 times and then they walk in after me so anyone could have made it look like they were with me. Also at the FastPass entrance someone is usually having a problem and is so easy to walk past without scanning which sucks for the people who waited for their pass to be valid
I worked at Disneyland for 2 years as a lead and In my opinion I think you were just slick and lucky lol. Heard plenty of stories about people trying to sneak in but you went straight to the main gates lol
Jesse Ruiz I actually did this once. I didn’t sneak in though I actually was there all day, left to change into warmer clothes and realized I didn’t have my tickets. They just made me show them a pic inside the park. My boyfriend and I were able to go in. 😊
LifeWithMarbles so in theory... if you have a twin, and that twin sibling buys a ticket, go inside, texts you a selfie from inside the park, and you use that picture to go in for free saying you changed clothes at the hotel and forgot your tickets.. would that work?

The staff at Disneyland are so very nice.. I took a bunch of people there in a bus for them to perform.. I met one of the Disneyland Park managers who asked if I wanted to go and I said yes and was given a park hopper ticket after my clients were taken care of. It really does hurt to see someone like you or anyone take advantage of such a nice place filled with such nice people.
What’s sad is that there’s families that work hard for many years to take their kids to Disneyland. This seems like a big slap in the face.

I’ve been to both space mountains. By far the one in California is way more comfortable seating wise for someone who is tall (I’m 6’4) and it’s also cooler theme wise!

Having been to both parks, I know Anaheim is smaller with their castle, but it is the original one I think, with that said, I still had a blast in them both, plus I don't think California Park was there then, so this is something that may have been added after I was last there. I cannot believe you got in again, but well done with that, you made it to the two places. Looking forward to seeing how you get on now in The Land of The Kangaroo, and see how it all pans out, really enjoyed the memories watching this vlog. Thanks. Enjoy.

Ryan F And if u compare D land's rides to D world, it's still better, sure Tower of Terror and Haunted Mansion is better, but Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Dinosaur, and Rock n Rollercoaster are all shit, does D world have an Indiana Jones ride as sick as ours? Do u have an Indredicoaster or Pixar Pier? Nope. Oh yeah, and we have a ride and land based solely on Cars! Sure Disneyland is smaller and has less parks, but the quality is there (even in such a small space). Disneyworld is bigger and all along with the cool experiences, but for them it's quantity over quality. I've been to D world plenty of times and I'll still pick D land over it any day.

Just FYI in case you ever need it, the way to get through security and into a Disney hotel is to tell them you have a reservation at one of the restaurants. Naturally, you need knowledge of which restaurants are at which hotels, but that's available online with a 2 minute Google search.
Pro tip...to get past the security guard blocking the door at the hotel, tell them you’re there to eat at either Storybook Cafe or one of their other restaurants. You don’t need a room key for that and they have to let you pass. Lol

You are correct that officially the Anaheim park is not called "the Magic Kingdom"....however on Disney's website they state about the Disneyland park:
"Enter a magical kingdom where you can sail with pirates, explore exotic jungles, meet fairy-tale princesses, dive under the ocean and rocket through the stars!"
It's the original Magic Kingdom. Even when you ride the train the announcer says "welcome to Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom"
