Love the cards. Me being in the USA won’t be able to attend a class but, I would have the people bring their own inks, if anything has to be die cut I would die cut everyone’s in advance. So no need for scissors or lugging a machine around. You could provide the card stock, embellishments and maybe a few glues for them to share. But, if you ever decide to do classes online, I will be there. :) You are so wonderful.
I wouldn't want to charge on line coz I would feel bad as isn't that what I am already doing? I am totally happy to provide everything at a small cost just not my inks xx

Hi Heidi. I used to do classes. And i stopped because i had to supply everything and my inks got totally destroyed, and embossingpowders were spilt etc. I precut everything and they brought their own glue. I made $25 per person and charged $ 10 per person for supplies. Hope that helps

Hi Heidi. I love your cards. When I’ve gone to classes we bring glue, tape, markers if using, scissors, foam tape, and you supply cardstock, stamps, and ink pads and blending tools if needed. Our teacher lets us know what colour inks we will need for class and if we have them we bring our own. She limits to 6 in her class and we make 3 cards in 4 hours. Less cards if they are a bit fiddly.
See its the inks that put me off. I need to invest in inks literally just for classes x
I’m with you. They are not cheap and they can get ruined if people don’t know what they are doing. Maybe suggest bring your own inks in the colours that you would like to use after they see samples of the card that they will be making. Another alternative would be to use only 1 or 2 colours per class or card and put them away after using. You have a very hard decision to make. Good luck ❤️

Beautiful cards, amazing demo again. With that awkward one, where the colour went where you didn’t want it to, have you thought about trying colour lifting to “correct” it? I’d like it no matter what, but I know what a perfectionist we all are with our own work. Thank you pet. Xx

Fabulous cards Heidi….especially the blue ones! 💙🩵 Such a stunning technique! I have had Altenew inks, mainly cubes, for many years, and love them, but have recently purchased some of the fresh dye inks in different colours, so am patiently waiting their arrival! Haven't done classes for year but when I did the tutor supplied everything. Card, paper, stamps, dies, glue, glitter stamp pads. Whatever was required to make the cards. You could always get small ink pads instead of using your own big ink pads. The classes were in a shop after hours. You could then buy your supplies from the shop after. The classes usually lasted 3 hours. You have to charge enough to cover replacing your supplies when required. Most times the tutor showed you the cards you could make, then showed you quickly how to assemble / make them . Not everyone got 3 made, but everyone enjoyed themselves. At the time I think it was about £15 per person and you limited how many people you had per class so everyone got help if required. Hope this helps.💟

Hi Heidi, I go to a class and the lady premakes all the cards. We make her cards that she's done. Our class is for 8 people and is about 1 and half hours and we pay a set price she wants. I love it.

@heidi-theyorkshirecrafter she makes all the pieces so 8 times. She completes her card and brings it to class for us to copy. We make 2 cards in the class. The other materials glue, mats, dbl sided tape etc come from the place we craft. Hope that helps Heidi. As me anything else you need. Suzanne

I would love to go to a craft class but your along way from me going by your accent . Why don’t you start a craft afternoon where people bring their own things along . Then you don’t have the stress and worry about your ink etc being damaged / contaminated. I would love to go somewhere like that to get social interaction but sadly we don’t have anything like that locally . Sorry got to get back to your video now lol .

Eh up Yorky, it’s your wee Scotty mate here, thought I’d let you know I’m still breathing……well you haven’t said hold your breath in a while. Now then these classes, I’d love to come to meet my Yorkshire mate. So do you or anyone you know have a spare garden shed I can sleep in cause my car don’t have curtains, and wouldn’t like the thought of someone seeing me drool in my sleep, then I could come to your classes, mind you it would be a lot easier if you were round the corner…..when you moving lol…. Oh no round any corner of my house is a field lol. Mind you down here in Suffolk is quite nice. When ever I went to a class what they did was give you a list of what you need to bring, like your own inks, pens etc, and you could supply the paper and card, and things that’s easy replaced and not easily damaged. The rest they need you would give them a list when they pay for their class.

It's funny coz Andy used to drool and it made me cringe....then one day I thought why is my pillow wet? I had been drooling 🤢🤮 haha
lol I had a hubby and four golden retrievers on my bed drooling, I woke up thinking I was drowning lol!! Then all my teeth decided to break and I had to have all my teeth out and now I really drool ugh!! I paid a thousand pounds for treatment as the dentist kept buggering about, then a thousand for teeth that have never fitted right. So no that I’m older and my visiting hairdresser gave up, my hair is down to my waist, I’m now like a little short ass, fat (only 4 ft 11 and thanks to my thyroid giving up, think I’m 4ft wide!!) drooling witch, better watch what I say or I’ll wake up with a wart on my nose lol! I have no friends here, cause we moved so much what friends I had have all gone! My only thing left that I feel I am capable of in life is, I can make people smile or laugh 😀. You go for that class thing, it will be good for you. Another idea that I did in a small area where we lived, was I did a parent and child craft club, I just bought loads of stuff off eBay and the like, so my pens and inks weren’t being used. After a while when the kids and parents got to know me, I did a ‘Mum makes dinner’ after school craft club, so it gave Mums that worked some of the day an hour after school to sort the dinner, while we made cards etc for the kids to put in a folder for their family (I got dates from parents) so they were all ready with their lovely cards on the day, in fact I would go and put it through the door when I took the dogs a walk at 4 in the morning cause I can’t sleep!! Anyway you make sure that you really want to do it before it’s in you and you feel I’ll at the thought, puke coloured cards might be ok, depending on what you ate the day before lol. I started with just five till I stopped feeling sick, then upped to ten, work it out to make sure it covers the hall and things that you have to provide, with a bit over for you. One tip I can give you, if the hall is big enough don’t put the tables in straight lines, do slightly more than a semi circle, that way no one feels like they are the ones out of sight out of mind. Hope that helps you honey. Oh and meant to say, I was right about the holiday wasn’t I hehe, you’ll love it, I did, we hired a villa along with my friend and it was great that a couple of days we could stay by the pool.
