I just went to a local 7-11 to play lotto. I asked for 3 quick picks. The clerk said that's 6 dollars. I said I didn't ask for the Extra Shot. It should be 3 dollars. I looked at the lotto ticket. There was no Extra Shot. Now 1 lotto ticket costs 2 dollars? What a rip off!!!!!
It costs 2 bucks now! I'd rather just play power or mega from now on. Illinois Lottery just served up a poop sandwich.👎

Always been suspicious as to why the player is not allowed to choose the "extra shot". I've played the "extra shot "often, but, seldom hit it'. If I do, I never get any numbers with it. Also, since this company has the Illinois Lotto, there seems to be the same pattern of non- wins of the jackpot. It goes to $20 million after, get this, 119.98 draws! Figure this out for yourself, if it sounds unbelievable. It only goes up $150,000 if no one wins. That means it takes 6.66 draws to reach the next million, which would be $3 million when it starts at $2 million. To reach $20 million from $2 million , it has to scale $18 million more. Multiply that 6.66 by 18 and you get those 119.98, or rounded up to120, draws. I question that this state's Lotto is as believable as it was when the drawings were on TV. Thanks to ex- governor Quinn for selling the Illinois Lotto, I haven't the faith in it that I once had. I miss Linda Kollmeyer!
They are overcharging for this game I will still be playing for a little while just to see what it's like but they are overcharging and they are making it so expensive some people are really not going to even play a game like this one because it's too expensive and you don't get any leverage playing your numbers. Illinois is just trying to be tough and be so expensive with everything
@@drexq_477 Here is the break down!! You get NO PRIZE for those 2 additional draws if you don't have all 6 numbers( ZERO/ZILCH/ NOTHING) They are just DUMMY LINES OTHERWISE! The only line that pays for 2,3,4,or 5 numbers is the initial line! The other two lines are considered ALL OR NOTHING!! Which is a huge RIP OFF!! As if $1 wasn't already a stretch to begin with! The drive to Missouri is now calling me( their lotto is still 2 for $1 ( and the matrix is 44 numbers)!! It will only change if WE the players stop playing!!!

@@lottabodys Here in NY, our Lotto is also still 2 for $1. Yes, the numbers do go up to 59, and drawings are only twice a week, but I say it's still a good deal.

You have made a terrible mistake changing the Lotto! I have played my numbers every drawing for years, buy after this jackpot is won I will never spend another dime on any Illinois games, only power and mega for me from now on. This is very sad because the regular illinois Lotto was always my favorite game. You all ruined the little Lotto a few years ago by making it 2 draws per day and now you have ruined the regular Lotto. You do realize that the first thing anyone who won the lottery would do is MOVE TO A BETTER STATE!!

It doesn't benefit us players if we don't get all 6 numbers!! You can have 5 numbers from those 2 extra draws and you will not get anything( ZILCH/No Prize payout ) it's all or nothing!! You only get a prize if from the initial line!! So, this is another grand SCAM to get more free money from players! And to be honest the game should be 2 for $1 to begin with!! If this is a players game why does the player put so much in and the lottery officials benefit 99.9 percent?? It will never change if we as players don't demand more for OUR money!!

I'm confused I played Lotto as I do 3x wkly and I had 4 numbers that was in one of the million dollars game added to it and I didn't even win 3 cents Wow is it that you have to have all 7 numbers in those two games I'm done I was Happy for at least the 56 dollars I thought I Won
Exactly! It's an all-or-nothing strategy, and they know no one will ever get all six numbers!! I haven't played since I realized what a scam this was!! Will not be playing any Illinois games anymore!! Enough already!!
The two extra lines are just DUMMY lines!! You have to match all 6 to actually win, and as of yet I haven’t heard of anyone winning on either of the two lines!! It is set up like a ALL OR NOTHING type of play!! You can have five numbers and still win nothing ( which is not good because they never made this clear with the players to date)!! I think players need to start a law suit over this!! Simply because it is so misleading and no clear rules as to how it works!!

@@at-cj2iy Are you with the Illinois Lottery? The $2.00 price is out of line with the MEGA and POWERBALL. Illinois goes up a measly $150,000 per rollover! MEGA rolled over with an increase of $18,000,000, POWERBALL with $13,200,000! That's MILLIONS, not thousands! The price increase is really not justified. Illinois must be losing money on their games to attempt to pull this off. Their INSTANTS are stagnant with decent wins, also. Will this reply be taken down, also?

I would rather play power-ball or Mega Millions to win a larger prize. The $1,000,000.00 prize becomes $450K after taxes and taking the lump sum.
But if you play IL Lotto, you actually have a better chance of winning $1,000,000+ than Mega Millions or Powerball, at odds of 1 in 5,296,900, if you include the main game and Lotto Million drawings.

@@alwaysinmyheart8639 I'm aware of the RNG "drawings" that IL has, and thank GOD we don't have them in NY. Well, apart from Quick Draw and Money Dots, but those are drawn every 4 minutes, so they don't count.
@@bronxscratcher We also have had many "online" winners in the Lucky Day Lotto. Many are winners in a high dollar amount game. I would think that there is complete anonymity as to the location of these wins and probably no monetary payout to the merchant selling the winning ticket. Lot of wiggle room for those running the games. How do people not see what I see? We are literally saturated with more and more games and scratch offs. The odds of winning anything in the scratch offs keeps going downhill. They are not even printing the odds on the tickets anymore, You have to go on-line to see these.
I can't read the numbers on the paper (even with reading glasses) I want to play for first time, but I can't even read or understand the instructions.

The lottery has become a money grab. They have increased the price of the tickets and added numbers to the games to reduce the number of winners. A friend of mine who owns a liquor store tells me he sells customers an entire book of twenty dollar instant tickets, and they don't even win half of their money back.
