- What is apophasis as a rhetorical device? Join the Society's Governess as she walks you through a speech from a 1972 Aristorators Symposium in which apophasis was used to destroy the very concept that a blackberry could be a fruit one would proudly choose to smash with one's buttocks, owing to the inherent callous character of any undesirable who may promote such an idea.
Aristorators is a content creator focused on encouraging meaningful debates of meaningless subjects. Follow for more content on public speaking, our game, and example speeches of meaningless subjects.
We also have a whimsical silly comedy debating game for 4 or more players, designed to ensure a fun evening for everyone. Download on www.aristorators.com. If we get enough interest, we can launch a kickstarter.
This is acrually a great analysis... whoa
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment! We exist to help encourage the world to have meaningful debates of meaningless questions. The quality of our analysis is intended to support that, and we're delighted by your comment. Please share, watch, and subscribe for more!
I couldn't possibly be saying I enjoyed the video but during the entirety of it the voice of the narrator caught me off-guard nonetheless.
It would not be for me to say that your comment is delightful to see and the reason these videos are made.
@@aristorators And it would be, of course, unfathomably beyond me to thank you for the nice reply.
1:30 lulz
mice are teaching me about speech now what reality is this
Many thanks for taking the time to watch the video and say so!
This is the reality of the "Aristoratic and Regal Society for Enabling Mass Urbane Debate".
We exist to have meaningful debates about meaningless questions.

(As one point of order they're rats, not mice. But you can call them mice if you want to 😁)
i think more people need to be aware of this subject
Thank you for watching and commenting! We agree on three counts. First, awareness of rhetorical devices. Second, awareness of which fruit to crush with one's buttocks. Third, awareness of Aristorators as both a TH-cam channel that is intended to offer some amusement and as a free downloadable print & play game. Fourth, awareness that we may have evidence that a rat once time travelled. Fifth, awareness of how to proof-read numbered lists in order to maintain consistency between the quantity of points signposted and the quantity actually made.
At this stage in our tiny evolution, all likes, shares, subscriptions, comments, and watches are so valuable. So thank you again for commenting.
Wait, so this is a game?
Thanks for the follow! Yes, it's a game for groups of four or more. In the game players make debate speeches about whimsical and meaningless questions.
The game is only in print and play format at present. We're far away from having enough interest to do a production run.
So in the meantime we're producing content having fun with the concept. Hope it amuses. Makes us chuckle anyway.
You can check out more details on the game on our website, or in our design manifesto shorts playlist.
