Why this man is invited at Oxford Union? He maybe less in education but his life experience that made him more humane and humble to serve God, his country men who are less fortunate and never turn his head away from poverty. This made us realize that education come in different forms and outside of schools/universities.

On December 11, 2019, Pacquiao graduated from University of Makati with a bachelor's degree in political science; majoring in local government administration through the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) of the Philippine Councilors League-Legislative Academy (PCCLA) which allows qualified Filipinos to complete a collegiate-level education via informal education system.

This is a living proof that eloquence and intellect doesn’t amount to anything if sincerity is not there. People can criticize this person for his vocabulary or lack there of but at the end of the day he is a person who’s true to himself and willing to help in anyway he can. We can always judge and humiliate a person for not being able to speak intellectually but for a public servant I’ll take honesty, sincerity and perseverance more than an Ivy League candidate who uses their premier education in growing their own wealth and prominence. He’s a dignified, decent well being that doesn’t deserve to be criticized just because he doesn’t have a good command of the English language or simply put... not articulate enough to impress those who put him down. Stay blessed and keep helping others, we’re right behind you.

FYI, and just to add to all the commenters here, back in the Morales trilogy era, Senator Manny hired an international English Professor and he had daily English classes so he could improve his English Vocabulary and Writing.. he did this because he was being ridiculed by the media, comedians and his opponents because he couldnt speak English very well, same goes for his opponents here in the Philippines when he was running for governor at the time, they said he was illiterate.. we chose this man to represent us in the senate not because he holds numerous titles, or educational degrees.. we chose Manny because he represents the majority of us Filipinos who have no voice in the Senate filled with greedy, corrupt, rich, power hungry politicians..

The fight is not an everyday occurence. He has done a great deal to help many people compared to those other senators combined. He just doesn't announce them because he is not in the senate to do some grandstanding. What can smooth talking do when you haven't actually extend help to those in need. What the country need now is not more irrelevant bills but understanding the needs of the poor.

(Proud to be a Filipino)....I have only the equivalent of Form 6 formal education, and it's only now am I pursuing the equivalent of a university degree in a non-traditional manner...think of David and Goliath, and look at me. I don't have the five smooth stones with which David defeated Goliath...
But I am a fighter...ever since I was fighting for survival... only now, I fight for money. Typhoon Haiyan was a defining moment for me. No one I saw when I visited Tacloban had HOPE in their eyes...until I shot a few hoops and the kids picked up...soon we were playing full court!
The Manny Pacquiao story is a fairy tale story worth telling and retelling. Believe in the family; believe in God!
From the power of one, we can build a power of 50, 100, 1000...

Many of the pilipinos are cannot afford to continue their highschool career. But thanks God manny, become champion of the world. That's why he afford to hired professional English. Here in the Philippine also many languages, thats why his accent is different than other. But look his children..studied at the international school and very good in English.

The English Language is common usage in the World. If The critic is from The Citizens of England then its favorable for Britons because Manny can really talk in your Native Tongue. In other Countries Accents in English sounds like their Native Tongue.Indian, Thailanders, Japanese, Filipinos, ect sounds like they are trying hard. Not an avid fan of Pacquiao, but one thing we tend to over look as a Filipino, or rather as a person. That is to inspire others to inspire ourselves. If he can over come all or most of the challenges in life by which he has so little so meager. How much more those who have some or more in life. He may not be qualified to certain duties or profession but one thing is. He inspires us. Especialy those who can, who have , and most qualified to contribute. It is the life lesson we are not seeing. For those who can, one thing is needed the willingness to share and live up to the task we can contribute to.

Sen. Manny graduated in 2019 from University of Makati with a Bachelor Degree in political science, major in local government administration through Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program of the Philippines Councilors League-Legistative Academy. He works so hard to achieved all of these. He's such a blessing to many.

Manny Pacquiao is a great boxer of all time. That alone speaks of his greatness. In the boxing ring he fights with dignity even how hard the fight. His Christian virtues are evident in all his fights. He is humble, never brags like what his opponents do. He is self- disciplined, prayerful, and commits his victory to God. He is honest and obedient as he follows his coach and observe the boxing rules very well and doesn't cheat on his opponents. A person's character is not defined or measured by his proficiency in speaking English.
In fairness to him, his not being able to express himself well in English language doesn't make him a lesser person. To his credit I think he speaks other Philippines' dialects which his detractors dont even know of. Please be sensible and responsible in making comments. Manny Pacquiao is a generous person and is an inspiration to others worthy of emulation.

I've watched the full address and Q&A at the Oxford Union/University with Manny Pacquiao and the students... I can say that I'm proud of Manny Pacquiao that he did all his best to answer all the students questions... English speaking won't define your strength, will, dedication and hardwork... In my own opinion, Manny Pacquiao will be better off being a senator rather than running for the highest govt seat...he could help more poor people, families and all the needy citizens in the country.
