If you take a look his last 2 videos ('BLAST 4 PAM vs BLOSUM' and BLAST 5 BLOSUM62'), he explains how he gets the score for the alignment of certain amino acids
Great Lecture , but I have following doubts in understanding due to my lack of knowledge: a) Which amino acids in the BLOSUM 62 table are denoted by letters D, W and N because I could not find them in the table? b) I could not find score 4 given to " I --- A " matching, in BLOSUM 62 table. c) Letters P , A and L are ambiguous because more than one AMINO acids in BLOSUM 62 has same starting letter. Kindly provide me the answers which will help me to understand. Thanks in advance
