This is the most _American_ scene in the Tremors franchise that I have seen thus far: A Baseball team kitted out with 17th Century Muskets forming ranks to take down encroaching monsters.

This Baseball team: We smoked a bunch of Shriekers.
The movies werent meant to be taken too seriously but the tv series had all the action, suspense, and fun we expected and more.

Black powder guns especially muskets may seem obsolete by today's firearm standards, but a scene like this proves that obsolete firearms are still better than nothing.
they did have repeating muskets due to several different methods. problem was if you didn't have an expert gunsmith using the best metals at hand the guns had a nasty habit of blowing up especially if loaded wrong.

That's true, I'd rather go against a Shrieker with a musket than fight it with my fists. I'm not Burt after all.

Can't help but wonder if that's what he meant to say or if he was about to say "eyes".
This was the last episode Sci-Fi aired. So at least they allowed the series to end on a high note.

This is what I love about the Tremors franchise, the creativity and different ways to kill these things
Hey props to those kids on the baseball team, they showed up bats in and looks on their faces that said "I'm ready to fuck shut up" brave as hell to go up against any graboid lifecyle with out explosives or a ranged weapon
A couple of decades ago I visited the festival park near williamsburg. There was a re-enactor with a matchlock. I asked him how his rate of fire would compare against bows and arrows. I was a little surprised when he said "three rounds per minute of aimed fire".
Sure enough, he did exactly that with six rounds in two minutes.

I mean it took months of training with muskets to form soldiers disciplined enough to stand their position, follow orders, and carry out these orders.
A company of redcoats would take these shriekers no problem.
But then again I still love the cheesy action shows!
In the words of Richard Sharpe "Now that's good soldiering."
To bad they don't have bayonets, just incase.

This was the first and only scene I saw of the TV series when I was a little child, I thought I imagined this scene hahaha

@@burgerbro34fullstreamarchi82 civil war collectors either have originals or replicas that they use to fire while keeping originals as wall hangers.
Not to say that everyone who owns a Civil War era gun collection is a Confederate wannabe. But it does seem like the sort of thing one would expect to find in the house of a Klan member. Or, any other white separatist, for that matter.
@@xaviermoncada-martin8156 Why do you assume that it's Civil War Era? Since Perfection is located in Nevada, why not have it be leftover armaments from the Mexican-American War or the Texas Revolution that were inside of a museum? It's more plausible than just assuming that it's from the more popular American Civil War.
They are obsolete guns but Burt still gets the best one because he’s burt.
I know they do it for safety and purposes of filming reasons, but it would've been better to see smoke coming out of those rifled muskets. Thats part of the appeal and charm of those old weapons. Here, it makes it seem like smokeless powder is being used.

The only unrealistic thing here is the idea that Burt wouldn't bring enough ammo.
He was on the Government's payroll for this one, and they only approved 1,000 rounds. It would've been enough if the game hunter they saddled him with had actually killed the last Shrieker instead of locking it in a feed warehouse.
