I really love that her sound feels very authentic to her. She knows herself well and knows what suits her best. She leverages her strengths, and i love that unlike most of the other members, who started their solo careers catered towards the west, she feels that korean is closer to herself personally, and still continues to sing in korean, in her solo activities. I am pleasantly surprised. I think this might actually really work for her well. P.S. the theme fits her great, and everything else is just amazing. Conceptually, and sound wise as well. I love how the members how escaped the Teddy dungeon, to let themselves grow.

Um she’s full blooded Korean that can barely speak English, with absolutely no fluency. If you thought her comeback was going to be westernized or targeted to the western market then, you were highly mistaken.
And the sound isn’t unique. It’s a popular genre (techno) that was especially used in the European market in the late 1980s-1990s created by the western market.. Kylie Minogue, being Australian, capitalized on that genre and became extremely successful in the European market and moderately successful in the western market.
