This modern disco track is on fire! Instant classic! Indelible vocal harmonies and bass lines, but somebody please get these talented ladies a Los Angeles-style glow up. Their look is Brooklyn street; their sound is not. I'd love to see them in glam mode! Doesn't affect the quality of the music, but presentation gets you everywhere. C'est chi-chi? Be chi-chi. I believe that juxtaposition is the point. Disco and funk were always so loud and proud and sexy in their music but also in how they dressed, arguably to the detriment of the women in the genre. It's not to say no woman in disco felt good about being sexy and glamorous but it felt as though it wasn't a choice and was instead a requirement to appeal to the male gaze. These women instead say, "Listen to how glamorous and sexy this music is without ogling us because we don't want that"
