Ese temporal fue el Hércules, recuerdo que mis amigos fueron a surfear a las mirandas con una moto de agua y tengo unas maravillosas fotos con ese petrolero de fondo mostrando la hélice
Cuando tienes el barco fondeado la máquina principal está apagada, se mantiene en el mismo lugar gracias a la labor del ancla pero el buque se mueve debido al oleaje y el viento.
Miss Barbara, the sea has different deep levels, over there must be between 30 to 45 feet because is close to the coast and still let navigate the vessel in our out the port, some areas can be 100 feet, deep sea can be more than 2000 feet. Close to Guam there is a special area with a deep more than 18,000 feet.
@@julesjulius187 I'm not sure that this is a black ball in the foremast, but you can clearly see the starboard anchor cable that is crossing on the bulb and the starboard anchor of course is not in position. The ship would not hanging like this if it was not at anchor.
@@julesjulius187 From 1:00 onwards it is possible to see the anchor chain down from the hawspipe going pn the bulbous bow. Very poor seamanship to stay at anchor in such situation.
Al principio del video, se ve la cadena de estribor, que pasa sobre el bulbo de proa. A partir del minuto 2, se ve tensar la cadena varias veces, cuando el barco levanta la proa.
No soy muy experto pero ese temporal no afecta mucho a este super tanquero medio lo zarandea en otras circunstancias el capitán ya hubiese puesto proa a mar abierto
Ce navire semble avoir beaucoup de difficulté face au vent et à la houle et une ancre ne servirait à rien car les mouvements sont trop importants alors la seule solution est soit de trouver un abri plus sur ou tout simplement faire demi tour en revenant au port et attendre une meilleure météo pour regagner le large ...en route libre

Was this a compulsory anchoring due to an engine failure or some wrong choice of anchoring position? What a horrible place to anchor a ship!!

Parece que ademas del ancla esta sobre la maquina. Peligrosa situación tan cerca de la costa
Lo raro es que no ponga proa hacia el viento. O sea: las olas vienen de costado, cosa muy mala....
