  • In his speech, he brings to the audience some of his business mantras. He talks about some common mistakes that entrepreneurs tend to make, their challenges and that it’s not crazy to go around the continent, invest in your education and learn from other leaders, all while you’re in a huge debt.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Simply wow, one of my friends with whom I’ve had several philosophical sessions sent the video to me and I am glad he did. Being a new entrepreneur, all the lessons apply to me. The video is hard hitting, true, defies convention, forces you to explore the truth and face reality, and humble. Very well said Rajiv and all the very best.

Mistake #2 - If you are the best person in your team, that is the worst for your business. This statement is completely true. The people who are achievers don't want to delegate tasks or projects to someone else because they know that they can do it and think that they can do it better than anyone else. If you aspire to be an entrepreneur, delegation is a skill that you need to learn. When you do the things yourself, you won't able to see things on a bird's eye view because you are in the situation. The goal is to be on top of the situation, not to be in the situation. Those two perspective are very different.

I agree. Steve Jobs had a variant to this in his famous quote "It doesn't make sense to hire smart people and then tell them what to to , We hire smart people so they can tell us what to do."

Very nice Rajiv, every entrepreneur starts with a vision to make a difference in the lives of others, to create values, to create jobs, and to create wealth for himself and others, but seeking perfection in sequential functions makes him mediocre, and he ends up in firefighting for month to month existence. How true! Prefer shabby success to mediocre perfection! Practical tips. Thanks.

The points touched are completely true. I worked with small firm in co-ordination with owner of company and I fully agree why companies stay where they are? because the top guy feels and looks for perfection in to out.
    Result:
    no business development
    No development in operations
Hire no performing/ not even thought to stay
    And many more.......
Fully accept this talk because it plots to may every experience and observations during serving company match's.

So how did you pay off your debt? By claiming to train entrepreneurs? How many successful businesses have your students built? Words are good but lets get into some numbers
