This is Baofeng UV9 which is 8 watts, and it is illegal to do TX on full 8 watts, as these sets has variable frequencies covering 136 MHz to 156Mhz on VHF and 440Mhz to 520 MHz in UHF. To use these frequencies you need to have Amature Radio Operator License. Better use license free PMR frequencies 446.000 Mhz to 446.200 MHz up to half watts based walky talky, someone has mentioned the Indian brands below, can cover up to 2KM or 886 MHz / 27Mhz CB Radios. Baofeng 888s can be used to program UHF PMR 446.000 MHz full 16 channels to transmit low at 0.7 watts with encryption, but still illegal... 888s low power transmit shows 0.7 watts and 1.8 watts on high. Low till manageable on 446.0 MHz PMR. (Updated)
Masafir bhai, I'm a licensed HAM/Amateur radio operator. Using radio is completely legal, if you are using your radio on CB (citizen band) frequency. This frequency is given by govt for radio usage of common man. There are clear cut rules and laws laid down regarding this. And don't worry, using CB radio is completely legal

Musafir, its illegal to own them. You need to apply for a license. These are amateur radios for which amateur radio license is required, even then, you cannot use them for the purpose you seem to have bought them for.
Using these radios without license is illegal and promoting this is also illegal. The frequencies you used in this video are also not authorised for use if you don’t have a license from WPC India.

You are promoting very illegal thing. You require license and clear radio exam by wpc (govt of india) to own or operate this radio. It is dangerous and wrong to use any frequencies. There are very clear rules and regulations, and protocols for walkie talkies. You can use citizens band walkie talkies in india without licence. But using this baofeng uv9r or uv5r is serious legal offence
