I'm a Blue album sucker and I actually really enjoy Pacific Daydream
I hated PD so much that I bought it on vinyl and destroyed it. You do you though
@@crazysubz3143 damn could've gave it to me. Your money though.
@@KevinLuper99 I found out later that it was a limited edition color one :)
@@crazysubz3143 damn you're a bitch-
Weezer doesn’t have two albums that sound the same. They have the most diverse catalogue ever
not ever, but its still pretty diverse
I had no idea that so many people were negative on Pacific Daydream. I love the album and I've been a Weezer fan since 94'. There's no pleasing some people I guess.
Weezer can try new things and excel creatively even! (look at the Red, EWBAITE, and White albums).
They can do whatever sound they want and we can't honestly force them to write another Pinkerton or Blue album, but when you make generic sounding stuff such as the production values in Raditude and Pacific Daydream; then in all honestly Weezer is covering their sound up to appeal a Top 40 generic audience.
If they want to do that they can but it would be a shame considering the original audience they built over the years; just stay creative and unique Weezer but don't just appeal towards what's the biggest audience but what YOU want as YOUR audience.
Keep at it guys. After all this is just my opinion on the directions you guys might want to take. Still going to like your efforts and ideas along the way but with my tastes and opinions too.
Spooktacular Wheatley very well said
I'm going to see them play live tonight and I pray they play the older songs as opposed to the newer albums, but I can't get my hopes up. At least Pixies are playing also.
Personally I think their creativity era was raditude and red album the real good stuff started at EWBAITE and it's been all perfect since. In my opinion. Songs like Get right and California snow are perfected pop songs that Rivers always wanted to make and tried to. So I dig and understand songs like Zombie Bastards and La mancha Screwjob and Living in La. But that's just how I feel.
You can make another Pinkerton ;)
4ppleTV It depends on what you mean by "another Pinkerton." Lyrically, it's impossible to make another album like that at this stage in their career. Instrumentally, there is a chance (look at EWBAITE and White Album) , but Weezer seems to want to evolve and experiment. Even White album, as 90% as it sounds, had a completely feel to it.
No they can't. They aren't the same people they were then.
@@taveontimmons5284 just like the sound of it, with the raw guitars and stuff
They actually have. OK Human
@@miguelproenca3447 OK Human is really good, but it sounds nothing like Pinkerton. It's still very new and cool though
Yes, yes you can.
I'm happy they haven't.
But they really shouldn't they may get initial positive feedback but it may cause them to die off
lmao holy shit fans are so critical of Weezer. I mean, PD ain't my cup of tea. But I respect the fact they're constantly experimenting with new sounds, I don't think they owe the fans another Blue or Pinkerton-like album.
They don't owe the fans shit at this point. Fakest ass fanbase ever.
I love it. I love Pacific Daydream
Pacific Daydream is one of the best weezer albums.
Amen. I love it too
That's a little bit of a stretch
Weezer u keep going and this new evolution of ur music is great and we can go back and look at the old but ur new music is great
Pat
good pfp
pat 🤤
Super strange how they came out with a seriously genuine and great album like EWBAITE, with lyrics like "Don't wanna be mass consumed, I'm not a happy meal", then drop some hot steaming empty garbage like pacific daydream. Such an inconsistent band
The white album is basically the blue album but more modern
Did Pat always lift? Seems like his arms look blown up in this.
The drums got to him.
Spooktacular Wheatley LOL!
Drummers have to.
Those are drumming arms
hes a drummer what did you expect
Bro, but you’ve only made it once.
I wish they would continue remaking the Blue Album. This new poppy shit is so weak.
Kevin Carpenter or Pinkerton
Oh come on
I know I'm late to this comment but if you want heavier stuff, listen to another band. I love pacific daydream, yeah it's not heavy but it's so much fun to listen to.
@@bunja9101 finally someone else that likes pacific daydream. I feel that as i listened to it, it grew on me. I think I would rank it like 8th overall, but that does not mean it’s bad either. In fact I rank it much higher than it seems anyone does
lmao at the comments.
=w= fans are as impossible to please as metallica fans I swear.
I don't expect a bunch of Blue Albums or Pinkertons. I love Weezer and I think they should do whatever they want. But Pacific Daydream sounds nothing like Weezer. I didn't like it.
studmangg I didn’t like it ether but I respect them for trying something new I mean imagine having to play the blue album every fucking day for 20 years straight
A band doesn’t have to have a defined sound... that would be boring and limiting, don’t you think? Imagine if the Beatles never evolved. Or if all three Nirvana albums sounded alike. It’s okay and actually good if an artist lacks a generic sound attached to them. Evolution is key.
You haven't been.
Pinkerton and the blue album pretty much sound the same
Said no one ever.
Oisin Machine haha what?
Wtf
found the make believe fan
buddy holly and pink triangle arent even similar in any way other than its weezer
