honestly she feels a tad overtuned as a boss, like, they knew they had to make it not a breeze for the people whove been farming and hoarding stuff for all this time but its not as friendly to someone coming basically fresh off calvus cause she eats hp so much faster than him
Calvus had a huge arena to dodge around, his high damage special attack can be interrupted to trigger early and deal less damage. Maria is in a small boat and is INVINCIBLE during her special water move. And she can spam that invincibility.
Lasts ao bosses summary: Throws an attack and immediatly dodge (you either tank and attack or block and miss) Throws attacks you normaly wont survive while being invincible Throws that same attack nonstop You couldn't hit soon enough so her health grows back to max You mostly end up dying and killing the boss at the same time or have your teamate survive till you come back
Maria is a pain at the start, but she can get ez when you suffer from wanting every each of her items. she has 3 water aura from waht I've seen If she raises her hands almost like at pose go to the front of the ship (u can be at front at the lower deck and u won't take damage) she will use the water tendrils if she moves while having water aura she is inmortal for a period of time so just avoid her attacks ( I name this move "Hakari Wannabe") if she starts using a surge like attack that pushes u try to get away asap or u will lose 250, if u can't escape attack her while u can she is going to be doing that most off the time, the rest is nothing to worry about, for weapon users just use mukset pistols and another weapon, i recommen placing a camp so u can spawn close to her
Run resistance build. If you can get it to roughly 30% with an amulet and a single other piece of armor the blocking amount is amazing for PvE even without shield. If you’re a mage use that with surge to make it 60% and suddenly she’s a walk in the park.
Not one of my most favourite Boss fight for fun. Her arena is small and tight, hard to dodge and the most annoying part is her tide tentacles attack. I think vetex might change this boss in the future.
the plunderers are in my oppinion op with a good build they can do 220 per shot and it shoots 4 not to mention the full vatrachos power build would prob make it 500 per shot which could make it very op and i hope vetex doesnt nerf it to the ground
I wouldn't bother airstalling at Maria. Just go to the front of the ship (the part where it curves inwards) and spam either bow m1 or blast/beam/javelin. High power, attack speed and no drawback.
I just used siren bow and tank her hits lol due to how crap the optimization the game is. Only good thing about the boss is the song. She spams her invulnerable tentacle attack too much to the point I suspect that she looks into sus tentacle stuff.
I know an easier way Do note if your a berserker or juggernaut you might struggle with this strategy but just stay up on the upper deck and attack her from above her water blasts and gun shots can hit you and you can easily dodge the tentacles and water charge up attack
i died around 79 times to this boss and cant beat it.... i get around 190% less speed cuz if ur low health u move slower and i have never died to calvus around 70% of the moves that maria uses are not dodgeable and do minimum like 500 dmg, and like around 300 per hit blocking idk the boss is harder than all the other bosses combined, never seen a boss like this, i dont think it would be possible to beat without powerful sunken with perfect power jewels and stuff i dont understand how u can beat the boss i lost like 37k galleons from it. and i used like max tier burning, iron skin and recovery 3, and other stuff yeah its not possible to beat
