Why do football players start with their one arm straight down and the other arm behind their back compare to track runners that use a start with both arms straight down? is this due to a track and field rule......

His introduction should have been: "Hi. I'm Michael Johnson, Olympic gold medalist and I USED TO BE A WORLD RECORD HOLDER."
At this point he still had the record in the 400m so he did introduce himself correctly here.
