I love how you have presented the project. From the explanation of the idea to each function of the application. It was also really important to highlight the limitations of the app as well!
Coming from an engineer myself, I can definitely see you have the fundamentals of an engineering mindset.
To be honest the code you’ve written can use a lot of improvements. But that’s ok! Not every project has to be perfect. It’s more important to take what you have learnt in order to improve yourself!

Please be careful with that painful arm! RSI is a real thing. I used the mouse with my right hand, but had to learn to mouse left handed, so I can alternate between both. And yes, anyone can learn that! Also, Don't let you fingers hover above the mouse buttons (strain), and make yourself aware of the fragility of your body.. Oh, and ergonomic keyboards and mice can help a bit, but it starts with your own posture en being able to relax you muscles.. I would love to enjoy your great projects for years to come! 🙏

I decided to pay for Fritzing. I think it looks a lot prettier than KiCAD. Unfortunately, it seems to have like half the functionality.
I liked what you did for all the hotkeys! That's a huge frustration I have when using certain software, is not enough hotkeys.

i have read lots of biographies of inventors and this is how they started. Amongst them not only have engineer mindset but also entrepreneurial, they are the ones ended up on top of the game, as billionaires.
