I havent watched MSP yet. Is it worth watching? Im really fed up with the high school themed but this list gets me interested in this series.
Never Let Me Go was so underrated! People are tired of watching these cliches, typical school-themed BL series until NLMG - it was definitely a breath of fresh air. If there's something I would want others to do, well that is for them to also act in a heavy drama series. I've witnessed how PondPhuin improved their chemistry and acting skills a thousandfold after doing NLMG.
I loved NLMG because it was so different from what I watched before. It fizzled a bit at the end for me though.

I'm surprised Only Friends is only number 5, but it's probably because it just finished airing. The first 4 spots are all taken by the shows that aired at the beginning of the year, so the views accumulated over time. I hope OF will surpass them eventually, it deserves it. Dangerous Romance at no 8 is also impressive. Moonlight Chicken was one of the best shows from 2023, but it's definitely more mature than most BL audience can handle.
A lot of us also watched it on iQIYI so that could have brought the numbers down.
OF was such a breath of fresh air imo, I am excited for more mature and grungy bls

I'm totally surprised MLC is on #10 with only 48M views😮😮 I expected much more views for it 😢😢😢. Eventhough EarthMix were the ML and had good chemistry, I loved the side couple Gem4 character's much more... ❤❤❤

Moonlight chicken, both actors have great chemistry. Unlike many actors who do other bls together they are able to tell different stories that separate them from the other series they acted in. Step by step was good, it was definitely a different take on the boss & employee romance theme. Never let me go was ok.A Boss and A babe was a cool show. Bed friend was a good series that touched on some very heavy topics.

I was surprised that Ï Feel you linger in the air" is not on the list. I guess school themed BL is still a hyped for many.
at least for me like light weight drama is also something I prefer over mature one as the acting is so good and it makes us connected to the characters so well. Beautifully executed drama with a lot of chemistry it makes me emotional to watch MSP and without many romantic scenes just full of chemistry it makes me blush everytime I see them together

Not me is not Only a amazing BL but an amazing drama! It’s a crime how underrated that beautiful drama is. The acting to the story to the message all beautiful. Bonus is they don’t use filter to white wash the actors.

I wished I Feel You Linger In The Air would have been on that list. In my personal opinion it's the best Thai BL drama this year. Can't wait to see how Last Twilight will score. The others that are coming this month too. A few seems very promising. Also I wonder about the other countries? Japan, Taiwan and South Korea has such good drama this year. Don't get me wrong I love lots of Thai BL's but for me the Japanese are the Master when it comes to the stories, acting, directing, camera angle, lighting, editing, music... I think , in the end it's a question of style preferences.
I wish I could have added IFYLITA too but it only got around 4.6 million views in total.
Japan, Taiwan, and South Korean BLs are not being released on YT. Those shows can only be watched on either Viki, GagaOOLala, iQiYi, WeTV, etc. But it would be interesting how they would fair up against these BLs on the list.

@@ThaiBLIFYLITA released both TV version and uncut version. Did you add them up? Same goes for Laws of Attraction, they released segmented version and full episodes. These numbers should also be added up.

EDIT - I see that the ranking is based on total views rather than average viewers per episode. I would have ranked the shows using the latter indicator. Using that, Cutie Pie 2 would be at #1, Bed Friend at #2, and MSP at #3.
While I'm not surprised at MSP being #1 (even though I didn't love it), I am a little bit surprised at Boss & Babe being ranked so high. I also thought that Only Friends would be ranked higher. I think I'm one of the few who really enjoyed Bed Friends, so I'm pleased it's sitting at #2. Same for Never Let Me Go at #4. Pond/Pond's hair is my OTP.
Personally, I'd put Moonlight Chicken at #1, but I get that not everyone wants a real drama.
Yeah, that would make more sense ranking them per episode. Also, I watched Cutie Pie 2 and Bed Friend on different platforms, so their numbers of viewers are probably even higher.
I’m also surprised A Boss and a Babe had more viewers than Only Friends. Maybe because it’s had more time for people to watch it? Only Friends just ended. I’m doing my part for its view count. On my second watch currently.
but at the same time you also have to consider the amount of time that has passed after those dramas have been released. it's not even a month since only friends has released the final episode. meanwhile, boss and a babe released almost in the earlier months of this year.

Dangerous romance is my favorite on this list...than only friends, and never let me go.
You don't like anything related to Pond and Phuwin. Are you jealous of their success, wonderful acting and genuine friendship off screen? To say that NLMG has a "few" action scenes and was "overextended" only exposes your prejudice. NLMG has an exquisite storyline (I am a professor of Literature Theory) and the acting is superb just as the production and direction. Sorry, you lost it!

But yes, anything that can't be seen on TH-cam is available on the websites you mentioned! 😀 It has to be something really old or unknown that dcool doesn't have it. 🙃

You have forgotten about i feel your linger in the air and Lawas of Atraction. They are amazing! Oh! Absolute Zero is almost ending.It´s awesome, either.
I agree on top 10, but would have a different order. Place number 0 because actually one of the best (Thai) BLs ever is for me "i feel your linger in the air" an absolute masterpiece. Than "Moonlight Chicken" would be my No. 1. I also think the main couple from "my School president" is much better here. No. 2 for me is “Never let you go”. NO 3 "Only Friemds" because it finally brought a brave breath of fresh air into the BL genre. It's just a shame that most relationships end unrealistically happily. "Yes, "Boss & babe" is worlds better than "enchante" and I especially like the humor in it. I'm glad that "La Pluie" isn't in the top 10, that was the biggest disappointment for me 23!
Maybe it would be better to look at the average views per video that was uploaded to determine what the most popular series were. Of course there would be more views with more videos uploaded which means series with less episodes or series that simply upload every episode as one video instead of 4 parts don't have a chance otherwise even if they were more popular.
Still a good overview of the year though👍

Hi! I like STEP BY STEP. I agree that some episodes were NOT it. But, I still liked it.
NEVER LET ME GO was good due to Pond & Phuwin. I love their chemistry.
BED FRIEND!! NETJAMES are fire! The adult theme is great. Love them and waiting for more.
I also keep watching CHAINS OF HEART!❤ BOOM, HAII, and CUT tried to melt my TV with their chemistry! They are incredible actors and gorgeous. I need more dramas with them ❤️ together. COH cast are great.

5) Only Friends: I was watching this series while it was currently airing and looked forward to a new episode every Sat! I’m surprised it’s only #5 but maybe because it came out later than some of the other series.

2) Bed Friend: this was absolutely amazing. It had very steamy romance scenes but I loved the was Net’s character really cared for and protected James’ character. Plus he got some revenge against those who hurt him 🥰

Some BLs, although available on TH-cam, are restricted in many country. It is safe to assume that the series on the list are less restricted. Many people are likely to look for other sources to watch the series instead of using VPN.
