Dont agree with the Bills making it to a SB let alone win it. There’s too much depth they lost. We’ve seen QB’s take steps when they lost their top WR (I.E. Watson in 2020, Stafford after he lost Megatron, Russell after he lost the LOB. But one thing is constant. Those teams have Great QB play, but the team success regresses dramatically.

They absolutely thrashed the 49ers. Darnold led a couple of nice 4th quarter drives that made the game seem closer than it was. The Ravens have lost some talent though.

That bears team is really new and will be good but they are too wet behind the ears but could be a year or two off. My falcons is just long overdue with teams that have been right on the cusp of making the playoffs but bad coaching and QB play held us back. We got 10x better with the same team.

Regular season buddy
As a rams fan, the lions and rams are very similar teams that have obviously been built in a similar way: to compete with the 9ers. When comparing the two, I think people get lost in the “bigger names” which is probably due to our unfortunately smaller fanbase. But if you actually compare the two teams by position groups, theres a clear answer:
Qb: Its stafford. Lets look at the numbers. Goff had 4,575 yards with 30 tds, 67.3% completion, 269.1 ypg and a 60.3 qbr. In 17 games. Stafford on the other hand, had 3,695 yards, 24 tds, a 63.5 qbr throwing 264.3 ypg. In 2 and a half less games.. (14.5). Add those games (roughly 660 more yards by average) and stafford ends with around 4,625 yards and if averaged about 4 more touchdowns bringing him to 28.
RB: I’d personally say both rooms are pretty equal, kyren williams played less games (12) than both gibbs (15) and montgomery (12) but had more carries AND more yards than both of the lions backs. Montgomery takes the cake for touchdowns (13) williams trailed with 12, and last was gibbs with 10. Although williams missed games, its apart of the sport, especially at this position, thats why the rams brought in touchdown machine Blake Corum, and veteran Boston Scott.
Wr: Rams, and its not particularly close. Although Amon Ra had the best season out of all of the receivers on both teams, he did so with 14 more receptions, posting 29 more yards than rookie puka nacua. Thats without mentioning triple crown winner Cooper Kupp, who missed four games, and then played injured but still racked up more receptions and yards than the lions #2 last year Josh reynolds. After the top 2 recievers it gets worse for the lions, as both Tutu Atwell and Demarcus Robinson (who both missed games) had more yards, receptions and touchdowns than jameson williams. I do want to give credit to Amon Ra though, hes a stud reciever and a touchdown machine, but when comparing the position group to the rams, its not close.
Oline: I think here we have another wash. Both offensive lines are great, especially with the additions they have made in the offseason. Penei Sewell is the highest ranked tackle in the league (PFF) which isnt a surprise the dude is a stud. But the rams have Havenstien, who is ranked #9, and is also a superbowl winner. The thing that evens this out is that both Joe noteboom and Alaric Jackson are ranked higher than Taylor Decker, much higher. When it comes to guards, both Dotson (ranked second) and rookie Avila (28) are ranked higher than any of the lions guards according to pff. The thing that evens this out is Avila is moving to center which he played in college, and former lion Jonah Jackson is taking his place, so we will see how that works out. Because of this I don’t think its fair to give the edge to the rams, hence the tie.
TE: Lions. Laporta is a guy and definitely helped carry me in fantasy last year along with Puka and Kyren. I do want to acknowledge the rams guys though. Higbee, although injured is solid, and Davis Allen looks like a great young piece who could develop. Apparently (according to rams channels i watch on yt, so take with a grain of salt) colby parkinson was one of the highest rated blocking tide ends, so there might be something there. Group still goes to the lions tho.
Dline: Lions. Really this boils down to 2 things. Aaron Donald is gone, and Aidan Hutchinson is nasty. The lions proved they have a great run defense with guys like DJ reeder as well as the pass rush provided by Hutchinson. They have a proven group. On the other hand, the rams will be relying on rookies Jared Verse and Braden Fiske. Although those guys are studs, they are unproven. Kobie Turner on the other hand, is proven. Led rookies last year with 9 sacks. People try to say that he benefited from Donalds presence, which he might have, except for the fact that according to next gen stats, he was second in pressures while doubled (22) only behind quinen williams with (24). Byron young was right behind turner with 8.5 sacks last year. If the two rookies pan out, this line will be nasty for years to come. Still giving it to the lions for now.
Secondary: Rams. The complete lack of secondary last year, and the departure of Aaron Donald had the rams front office with a feeling of “we dont want that to happen ever again”. The secondary was awful last year, so they fixed it. Brought in the 3rd highest rated cb (pff) Darious Williams, and former all pro Tredavious White. (I know people are skeptical about him, but the damn rams team doctor is his surgeon, so he should be healthier than he has in the past.) We all know how good he can be healthy, and even if he doesn’t get back to that level, he didnt forget how to play, so he should still be a solid guy. They also brought in Kam Curl from the commanders, and Kam Kinchens through the draft. The Lions lost gardner johnson, but added terrion arnold in the draft. Brian Branch was solid last year. But kerby joseph is a dirty player snd your not going to change my mind. I think since I gave the lions dline because of the rams age, i think its fair to give the rams secondary for the same reason. Maybe terrion arnold is the second coming of jesus, or maybe its jared verse, we will find out.
Coach: Mcvay, and its not close. Dan Campbell is a good coach, he makes you want to fight for him. But Mcvay is on a different level, I dont think I need to go into his accolades, so I wont. But he really is the second best coach in the league. Only other guy who has a shot at it is Harbaugh, but I don’t think harbaugh was turning our 5-12 team into a 10-7 playoff team while still being the youngest coach in the league last year.
Final Score: 4 (QB, WR, Secondary, Coach) to 2 (Dline, TE). You can debate RB and Oline either way, so I decided to leave them as equal. Like I said, they are similar teams with similar makeups, but when you look at the numbers, theres a winner.

I ain’t gon argue against opinion but we had a qb coach calling plays and half the defense wouldn’t even talk to the dc and we still made the playoffs now that we got talented play callers and got much better offensively and defensively we could easily win the Super Bowl within the next three seasons
Pretty good list I’m not sure if I’m ready to put the packers on top to win they are still really young and inexperienced. I would switch them with the Eagles. I agree with where my Falcons are. I would also switch the Bills with the Ravens. I also not ready to put the Texans there just yet.
Most folks probably give the Vikes no chance but last season they beat the 49ers when Jefferson was out, and lost late to the Chiefs. The previous year they beat the Bills in Buffalo, and Miami in Miami. They might not be as forlorn a hope as generally thought. Darnold might be just as successful as Cousins, and Flores as now swapped out virtually the whole defence for what he wants. They could be a surprise team this year.
It seems silly to me to have a can make it tier if you can make it to the game you can certainly win it.
As a better I would say the 2nd tier has a chance because the top teams are all 1 injury (not at QB) away from being in the lower tier or lower. Chiefs are different if 34-year-old Kelce isn't injured but is just a guy and Witten and Gronk were guys at that age. SF loses any of their star offensive players they are net tier or less. Betting Bengals, Lions, Bills are next tier and can win the Super Bowl with a bit of stumbling from the top 3. There are 6 teams including the top KC, SF, Ravens can all win the Super Bowl. I don't trust the Jets and expect the coach to get fired before the end of the season, Chargers and Steeler can make the Championship game if the coach/QB changes work out. Falcons and Jags QBs have no better chance of making the Championship game than last year, those QBs playoff profile is what it is till I see something different, I would put Dak in the same boat.
Most of what you said was ok, but I don’t think Saleh’s getting fired anytime soon. The Jets have their coach, imo he’s one of the best minds in the league and they should absolutely be a favorite to win it all this season. That roster’s absolutely terrifying.

@@JoeC1127 in the playoffs the Browns were on their 4th string QB with backup OTs, it was more of a surprise they got there at all. Browns have the reigning coach of the year and defensive player of the year and within the last half decade have been better than the steelers (refer to their last playoff meeting). Nobody wanted Russell or fields except for a desperate steeler team who continues to draft 1st round busts. steelers will have a new OC that will have growing pains in the AFCN along w the aforementioned QBs who have struggled playing AFCN opponents.

I know there’s a ton of jokes that the 49ers can’t get over the hump, but it’s not like they can’t perform in big moments like the cowboys. In both of the playoffs prior to the superbowl they had pretty significant deficits and came back. Realistically the 49ers were a missed XPA from winning.

Ive already made my future superbowl bets, went with 2 of the favorites, The Chiefs and the niners, then went with better odds on some teams like The Texans, The Jets, and the Rams. So im covered and will make bank if Chiefs or niners win, and if not just gonna hope the better odds i got on the othe teams. Thinking about taking the Ravens and Lions as my last 2 bets. I suspect the Cowboys will go 4-13. Their offense is the problem. It looks generic, I think Kansas City will suffer too. I think Kansas City will do better than the Cowboys, but it is too gimmicky for me. Philadelphia, like Dallas will suffer from a generic offense. I like Houston, Cincinnati, and Detroit. I also think Detroit and Green Bay are in the best division in football. I think Minnesota will be competitive because McCarthy in a solid QB. Houston Texans is probably the funnest team right now because they are so young. The best Superbowl scenarios would be 1. Houston vs Detroit 2. San Francisco vs Cincinnati . Green Bay vs Buffalo.
People are done with Kansas City I think. I think Pittsburgh will surprise a lot of people. Indianapolis will also be competitive. I think Dallas, Philadelphia , and Kansas City will take a step back this year with possibly Kansas City playing a game on the road in the playoffs.

Question from a roster standpoint how are the Ravens better than the Texans “THIS SEASON”. If you go player for player especially offensively what does Lamar do differently than the last four years. And what receiver takes this team to a new level. O line regressed, D line Regressed, didn’t add enough receiving options and they lost McDonald who made them into a contender last year. The Ravens history overall is excellent, but when we talk RIGHT NOW, how is it disrespectful to say the Texans are better THIS YEAR

Second you’re just going off of ONE year of the Texans looking like a true threat. They look good ON PAPER true indeed, but the Ravens have always been a threat since Lamar took over. I’m not about to say a team is better than them cause of ONE good year. The Chargers looked good for one year and look at them ever since. Like cmon now. My Eagles was just in the Super Bowl and look at how their season went to hell last season. Until proven otherwise in the AFC… it’s the Chiefs then Ravens/Bengals and everyone else.

Good luck stopping a lighter Lamar and Derrick Henry and a still very good defense if healthy. The Ravens are proven the Texans still have something TO prove.
