This is currently how I tie my hair up to wear wigs. If you have longer hair then me, you can continue to wind the hair around the head in circles. Music: Glude - Breath • Glude - Breathe | Hous... / the-glude

My hair is 32" long, super thick and heavy as all hell. All I can suggest for you guys is to learn how to french braid, pull the braids apart to flatten them out as much as possible, and then pin them like your life depends on it 😩

Same! Cosplaying as a short hair character with a long ass hair is a hassle to manage. I don't want to cut my hair just to cosplay so she rlly save me on this one.
Nice! This is how I have always done my hair when I am putting on a wig. When professionals wig me for a performance, they make many smaller braids, so the very expensive wig goes on smoothly, with less tugging at the wig to lessen inevitable bumps at the finish.
This will save me a lot of time and effort when I'm trying to get my hair into wig cap cuz I have long THICK hair and it's a pain in the ass sometimes also when you are cosplay Guy characters with short hair this will help so much!
I used to use nylon wig caps, and I often really do miss them because they do help keep all that hair flatter, but unfortunately they'd give me roaring headaches, so I had to switch to the mesh ones. To flatten my hair I usually make at least four braids, but I'm a slow worker, and it's time consuming. I never really considered using just two, because I'm always so worried about getting my hair so flat, but I'll definitely see how it looks under my wigs so that I have a slightly faster alternative if I end up in a time crunch. I’ll try this! I have pretty long hair and putting on wigs has scared be because I’m afraid the back of the wig will stand up because my braids will push the wig up.
People are buying wigs and hair extensions bc they're dying to have thick long hair. It's a blessing and a curse yes, but more so a blessing. I've learned to really appreciate my thick hair.
i can't even put my hair in a ponytail without it hurting my scalp. ya, it's pretty but it's also painful and time consuming. i'm not complaining, i love my hair, i'm just saying it's a lot of work. if anyone has suggestions for this problem then let me know because the only quick and easy way i know how to do my hair in is a braid

Thanks for the tutorial, I was wondering what type of hair would be better to pin down, freshly washed and damp, freshly washed and dried or normal or greasy?I was advised to let my hair get a bit greasy as it flattens down with the oil, but i wasn't sure if that's accurate or helpful for pinning down long hair. my hair is SUPER thick, like amazingly so.. ;_: makes it a pain for wigs haha
That was an awesome video. I will try that. But I'm still concerned that the wig will slide off when I look down. People have told me that a wig has hair clips inside of it but how would the hair clips hook on to your hair if you have a mesh on?
I looked this up for my friend because her hair is so damn thick, I once tried to put it in a ponytail and her hair filled my whole hand, like what the heck.
.....I used to have hair about that long...Hadn't gotten it touched by scissors in years... Got a knot in it bad and was going to just take that one spot out, reluctantly let my mother do it after she kept insisting....She cut off more than half of it almost to the shoulders. Never going to trust her with that again. lol? Sorry, just it reminded me about that... Cool trick though for concealing the hair
😬 I’m not trying to be a jerk but that is not thick like…at all. i have like 5x as much hair as you do at least…like in thickness. This doesn’t work for me and i just don’t think anything every will short of chopping it off.

Tori Bland straightening your hair beforehand will help you, as it makes the hair more flat

My hair is 24 inches long. I tried this method (my hair is a medium in thickness) & this method did not work for me. It still shows this HUGE Lump :(
Try to tuck al the hair in the back not the top
