Quick question about this build, is it heavily based on your gear? Or can you still put out decent damage with just average gear, like say between 5-10k GS? I obviously know your damage will get better with gear, but I know some classes rely heavily on gear to be considered a good class.
The only thing required for damage in this build is your weapons. As long as your weapons are full gemmed you will deal good damage. Obviously having a high intel pool helps and so does things like costume stats etc. But the main source is your weapons and the lunagems in them.

Will this build still be pretty strong in unchained? I'm interested in the malediction tree but havent played since it came out. Any recommendations on builds?

@@balysle1828 healer is obviously a counter but you very rarely see those in 1v1. Other than that the only person I had trouble with in 1v1 as banesong was a dagger wielding melee. The High attack speed on the daggers lowered his global cooldown so much that he was able to break out of the bonecage much faster than other players.

@@zooiq8338 lol scepter + offhand is generally much better for mages in the current meta ^ ^ and yea i change my builds constantly for most mage classes. Banesong is kind of the exception though, i barely change it mostly because i dont play it in large scale stuff.

sadly no :( you can no longer animation cancel and auramancy as a tree doesnt give you as much mobility as it used to since mirror warp is in witchcraft now.
Hello! I would like to ask one question, what you recomennd at start. Can I play with dual weps from the start (scepter +dagger/katana) or is better to start with staff and change later (after gha gear or smthing). And is scepter + dagger best for big damage if you play with dual weapons as a mage? This game has changed so much and cant remember well what were good choices. Im starting AA soon again, thanks :P.
Better to hard commit to your weapon choice from level 1 now days. I will have a video detailing this very soon. Scepter + any offhand works the same now.
@@H8tedFister you want scepter and shield of course, but you can do either cloth or plate...if you wanna be a bit beefier go plate...stack magic defense but if you go cloth stack phys defense
What class will you be maining on AAU? Would starting out as a spellsinger be okay? Or do you recommend spec into something else before full sending into spellsinger??

hes using crashing waves, you dont need to target an enemy to hit them with it.

No, I cast cursed thorns after my hellspear so that when they stand still trying to break the bonecage they get impaled and damaged even more :)

Mages are useless in pvp even if they're geared to the teeth, only viable classes are melee and super geared archers.
