    Awesome upgrades. Your LMT looks amazing. I'm just starting on some basic upgrades on mine and really love this platform. New subscriber. 👍🏆

      @@hellioncinder9169 Awesome. I have been in the hobby for about 2 years now. I don't own anything other than 3s cars so far. 4s with a Lasernut but that probably doesn't count. It's good that your busy and having fun. I will have to check out your 8s Kraton.

    Make sure you shim the pinions on those axles, I used .4 shims inside on the pinion and another. .3 shim between bearing and drive line to stabilize pinion

    Thanks for sharing. I have the same Treal sway bars. I think your sway bars are on upside down. In your configuration, the torsion bar will barely twist.

      Thanks for your feedback. In response to your comment, the front and rear are pointing to the inside of the axle instead of out. The reason I did this was for cornering. I was trying to solve some issues I was having with high speed turning. Also, front end rebound when jumping. So, for my rig it seems handle much better inverted. Could be the change in springs. Now that I have added more weight, I will change the position and see how it handles.

      @@hellioncinder9169 Good to know. Part of the fun is messing & perfecting your setup. There are some TH-cam vids of people using stiffer springs from a Traxxas (part# 3757R). I have it on my rear for 3S. Might be too stiff so I'm gonna switch back and compare. Cheers.

    Center diff locker is a big no no, have you ever broke the center diff or you could put a higher weight fluid in it

    • @hellioncinder9169
      @hellioncinder9169  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ummm... I agree and disagree. I guess it all depends on what you do with it. I have seen people put heavy fluid as well as stuff it full of "ear plugs". I called Horizon directly and asked a lot of questions before I decided to make the change. At the end of the day, do what you like and what best suits your style of driving.

      Greetings.. I got on the Losi site and bought it from them directly. It's easy to do, the hardest part was getting the center diff all the way out. I replaced the plastic diff with a Treal one, I wanted something stronger and if I had it out anyways might as well do it.

      Lol!! Yup... I was testing out a lot of different suspension setting due to drive issues. To be honest... I flipped them and really didn't see a difference. I added / changed strap locations as well. That did help with travel issues... but im still working on some of the other issues. I think it's all power / weight related. I also reached out to Treal about possible upgrades to the frame / suspension.

    Nice video with the exception of the center diff comment and it's obvious you either haven't been in the hobby long or simply never dealt with center diffs but they are essential for tuning, especially any kind of racing whether competitive or just with friends. There is a reason the original 6S Xmaxx was blowing transmissions (no "center diff") and there is also a reason Traxxas came up with their "cush drive" in an attempt to fix the problem. Most people that lock their centers are bashers that primarily go in a straight line and they almost always end up blowing the front/rear diff. The saving grace here is the LMT's cush drive setup but even then it's not bullet proof. If center diffs were there to simply serve no purpose other than robbing power, it wouldn't exist in the hobby.

    • @hellioncinder9169
      @hellioncinder9169  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The center diff in an LMT does works great on a 3s system. But, as I stated it will be slowly destroyed using 6s in the LMT. The locker just equally distributes the power between the front and rear diff. Diff death is deterred but not stopped. I agree that center diffs are essential in racing and other applications, but i would think in an LMT specifically built for bashing it would be fine.

    Your sway bars aren’t set correctly your sway bars aren’t doing anything like that. The sway bar is supposed to be horizontal and the link is supposed to be vertical. With it like that the axle is just moving the link and not pushing against the swaybar

    • @hellioncinder9169
      @hellioncinder9169  ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct- that was done on purpose, while testing suspension. They have since been put back. But, I am still looking into other options to help it out. The weight of the system seems to be the issue. I tried going back to 3s... but I just can't do it now that I have driven it on 6s.

      Have you tried 4s. That’s what I run in my lmt. It’s wicked fast and powerful but controllable Everyone told me not to run 4 s that it would just tear it apart. But so far it’s just awesome

    • @tamarabryan9443
      @tamarabryan9443 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And tires. You wouldn’t think but tires had a lot to do with how my truck was running. I watched Tony ceces video which is ccxrc. on the pro line demolisher tires versus stock LMT tires and there’s a big difference. I just got me some demolisher tires and there’s so much smoother and more controllable.

      @@tamarabryan9443 I will look into getting me some new tires!! I was thinking about getting some of the same tires that are on the bog hog too!! I dont have a 4s batt... but I will see what I can do to try it out. My diffs and shafts are good with the 6s, I did upgrade the diffs from plastic just to make sure. The only down side I saw was the weight, I did put in straps on all 4 corners to ensure I don't kill the piston in the shocks.
